Chapter 166: Chapter 83: Destroy the World, Rei Ayanami? (Part 2)
’Fifty percent of my power should be enough.’
Alex calculated silently. Just as he was about to completely knock this planet back into a frozen ice age, a silver-white aircraft suddenly burst out from the clouds beneath his feet.
The aircraft’s outer shell was already covered in a thick layer of frost, its surface marred with heavy scratches. It had clearly gone through a fierce battle.
The moment it pierced through the clouds, its engines were completely stalled out by the sheer agitation of the immense energy radiating from Alex’s body.
Losing its propulsion, the fuselage plummeted straight down like a kite with a snapped string.
Alex’s gaze landed on the aircraft. Through the frost-covered observation window, he saw that there was actually a young girl inside.
Short, pale blue hair clung to her cheeks, and her ruby-like eyes were completely unrippled. If Alex remembered correctly, this should be Rei Ayanami, the artificial girl.
She beat her hands against the observation window, attempting to say something to him.
’Rei Ayanami? What exactly had happened in this world? According to the normal timeline, Rei Ayanami should already be dead. Could someone have cloned her yet again?’
However, if Rei Ayanami was alive, Alex would have the chance to obtain a god-killing artifact—the famous Spear of Longinus!
This spear was said to be formed from the Tree of Life that birthed Adam and Lilith. It possessed an extremely lethal capacity against gods, making it perfect for Alex to use.
Alex halted the release of the Aquarius Cloth’s ultimate technique. Using his power, he steadily levitated the falling aircraft right in front of him.
Every Gold Saint who had awakened the Seventh Sense possessed powerful telekinesis. With a single thought, they could easily lift a small hill.
Without the constraints of the gods’ oaths, the Saints were all superman-like existences. Flying through the sky, burrowing underground, blocking bullets with their minds, and enduring nuclear explosions with their bare bodies were completely trivial matters to them.
Alex peeled back the aircraft’s outer shell.
The tough alloy was as fragile as tissue paper under his hands. This immediately revealed the young girl inside, clad in a white, form-fitting plugsuit. He said lightly:
"State your purpose for coming!"
The young girl wanted to speak, but the thin oxygen at this high altitude and the violent air convection prevented her from uttering a single word. She gestured, signaling Alex to follow her back to the ground!
Alex said no more. Taking the girl with him, he transformed into a shooting star and plummeted downward from the sky.
An ice-blue shield condensed around their bodies, completely blocking out the howling air currents and incoming attacks. With unstoppable momentum, they pierced straight through the bodies of a massive number of Angels.
Upon impact, the AT Fields of those Angels violently shattered like fragile glass!
Rei Ayanami’s eyes were filled with shock. The powerful Angels that she struggled to kill even while piloting an EVA were as fragile as ants in front of this man, completely devoid of any power to resist.
Even as a crash seemed imminent, there was not a single trace of fear in Rei’s eyes.
Defying the laws of gravity, the two came to a dead halt, suspended perfectly in mid-air. Only the violently fissured carpet of flesh beneath their feet served as proof of just how tyrannical the force of their descent had been.
Rei Ayanami’s face was as calm as water, as if the deadly thrill from a moment ago had never happened. She looked at Alex and slowly introduced herself.
"Strong one from another world, I am Rei Ayanami."
Alex raised his eyebrows, a hint of surprise appearing on his face.
"Oh? How did you know I was from another world?"
A faint, rare smile surfaced on Rei’s beautiful face.
"Come with me. Once we get there, you should understand."
A few minutes later, Alex and Rei Ayanami entered a massive, abandoned base.
The floor here was unusually clean, completely free from that nauseating biological carpet. In the darkness, a pair of glowing yellow eyes lit up, and countless laser sights instantly locked onto Alex...
