Chapter 165: Chapter 83: Destroy the World, Rei Ayanami? (Part 1)

Having just sorted out the chaotic plot of this world, Unit-02 attacked once again. Alex no longer bothered to dodge and simply threw a light punch!

Thud!

Accompanied by a muffled boom, a visible shockwave rippled across Unit-02’s body. The earth instantly tore open, creating a massive fissure tens of kilometers long, with bright red LCL fluid rushing into the chasm.

Unit-02 froze for a split second before violently exploding, its red metallic outer shell and all, turning into a sky full of raining blood!

Even though Alex was not a Saint who specialized purely in physical attacks like Aiolia, his punch speed still reached the speed of light. He was fundamentally not an existence that Unit-02 could contend with.

Without Alex making any visible movement, a thin frost shield appeared around his body, completely blocking out the rain of blood. It wasn’t that Alex was afraid of being contaminated by Angel cells; he mainly just didn’t want to get his clothes dirty.

With the destruction of Unit-02, the ground suddenly trembled violently, as if a behemoth were awakening underground.

More Angels attacked from all directions—from the sky, the ground, and the crevices of the ruins. Their numbers far exceeded the known scope of seventeen, and their forms were incredibly bizarre and varied.

Some resembled giant octopuses wielding dozens of tentacles, some looked like beetles covered in compound eyes, and others were twisted geometric shapes writhing irregularly in the air.

Meanwhile, the wreckage of Unit-02, which Alex had pulverized into minced meat, was rapidly reconstituting at a visible rate. Broken metal and flesh crawled along the ground, gradually piecing together its original outline.

’Immortality?’ Alex raised an eyebrow, understanding dawning in his heart. It seemed that in this completely eroded world, as long as the Second Angel, Lilith, remained alive, all the Angels had become unkillable entities.

He didn’t continue to entangle himself with these Angels. His figure transformed into a streak of light and shot straight up into the sky, the resulting air currents blowing away the surrounding blood mist.

Along the way, a massive jellyfish-like Angel intercepted him. Outside its body, a blue AT Field—as perfectly structured as a honeycomb—surfaced, shimmering with a cold, eerie light.

With a mere thought from Alex, a thick bolt of lightning instantly tore through the sky, completely piercing the Angel from top to bottom.

The seemingly impenetrable AT Field shattered like wet paper. Emitting plumes of smoke, the Angel’s massive body lost its buoyancy and plummeted straight down toward the earth.

After breaking through the stratosphere, Alex stabilized his posture.

Looking around, the skies above the entire planet were filled with countless floating, massive Angels. Bird-shaped Angels darted through the clouds, and fish-shaped Angels swam within the atmospheric layers.

There were also various geometric shapes—squares, rhombuses, and triangles—hovering in the air, densely packed like a plague of locusts.

As if receiving some sort of command, these Angels simultaneously turned toward Alex. The air in front of them began to distort, lighting up with black-and-red glows. The energy fluctuations grew increasingly intense, clearly signaling that they were about to fire powerful death beams.

Alex’s gaze sank. He scanned the earth below, which was completely blanketed by the blood-red carpet of flesh. There was no longer any space left here for humanity to survive.

With a shift of his will, a ring of crystal-clear white ice instantly condensed around his body. The surface of the ice layer was as smooth as a mirror, reflecting every single incoming death beam right back at them.

The sky instantly plunged into chaos. A massive number of Angels had their AT Fields shattered by their companions’ reflected beams, their bodies disintegrating in the explosions and temporarily losing their vitality.

But this was merely the beginning. Even more Angels swarmed up from beneath the clouds, their numbers so vast it made one’s scalp tingle.

Seeing the increasing number of incoming Angels, a flash of absolute resolve crossed Alex’s eyes, and he hesitated no longer.

’I’ll just destroy the world! ’

He would completely obliterate the planet’s ecological environment, kill Adam, Lilith, and all the Angels, and give this planet a blank slate to develop anew.

Alex slowly raised his hands above his head. A golden Cosmo ignited around him, its dazzling brilliance proving exceptionally eye-catching even against the dark void of space.

With him at the center, the atmosphere of the entire planet began to churn violently.

Beneath Alex’s feet, a massive vortex over tens of thousands of kilometers in diameter formed. Black clouds spun rapidly within the vortex, looking just like the descent of the apocalypse! Lightning tore madly through the pitch-black clouds, accompanied by deafening claps of thunder.

In every single region of the planet, heavy snow began to fall like goose feathers. The pure white snowflakes landed on the blood-red earth, forming a bizarre and stark contrast.
