Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

Chapter 1080: AND SO IT BEGINS

  • Next Chapter

NEOMA felt better after brushing her teeth and washing her face.

And then she changed into a fresh set of clothes.

When she came out of the bathroom, she was surprised to see Hanna sitting on the bed.

Ah, she broke the doorknob.

"I’m fine, Hanna," Neoma said, pulling a chair and sitting in it in front of Hanna. "Lewis probably told you that I ran to my room and locked the door, didn’t he?"

Lewis, no matter how worried he was about her, would never enter Neoma’s room without permission.

But Lewis also knew that Hanna was different.

And that I wouldn’t mind if Hanna broke the door of my room.

Thankfully, the young duchess only broke the doorknob.

"I’ll pay for the doorknob," Hanna said, and then she crossed her legs. "What happened, Neoma? You look awful."

"I saw a vision," Neoma confessed. If there was someone she wanted to confide in, it was Hanna. "Aunt Nichole is pregnant with twins."

"Ah, that’s why," Hanna said, pausing for a moment. "I’m happy for the Princess Royal, but I understand why you reacted that way."

"I can’t believe Uncle Dominic left his pregnant wife to fight for me..."

"Neoma, this isn’t the time for you to be breaking down."

"I know that, too. But I can’t help it. I want to send Uncle Dominic and Appa back to the other world."

"You know that it means looking down on them, don’t you?"

"Yes, I know."

"So, don’t do it," Hanna said sternly. "Neoma, I’m sure Lord Zavaroni and Uncle Gavin made the decision to fight for you with their families. The only thing you can do for them right now is end the war as soon as possible, and then send them back to the other world as victors. Sending them back before the war starts means trampling on their feelings."

Of course, Neoma knew that all too well.

This wasn’t the first time she had this conversation with someone.

"It’s so unlike you to be this indecisive, Neoma."

"I know, right?"

"The only thing you should focus on right now is winning," Hanna said firmly. "We’ll take care of ourselves."

Right.

Neoma was the leader here, so she couldn’t get distracted.

I’m responsible for everyone— I have to stay sharp.

"Good. I like your expression right now," Hanna said, nodding as if she were satisfied. "By the way, how are we going to ascend to the Upper World? I focused too much on training that it slipped my mind. Are humans even allowed there?"

"Lord Levi made an exception, so he’ll adjust the air in the Upper World for you... oh, wait," Neoma said when she remembered something important. "Let’s gather everyone first."

***

NEOMA finally felt that it was real as she gathered everyone in the Imperial Shrine.

Yes, only the Imperial Family should be allowed in there.

But it was a rule that they had to break.

This is where the de Moonasterios are the strongest, so Ruto said he would create a portal here that would bring our group to the Upper World.

The group in question was composed of her Battle Representatives.

The ’Divine Representatives’: Skylus, Monik, and Lord Manu.

The ’human weapon’: Hanna.

And Trevor.

Well, Trevor is my Contractor, so he has to be there.

"I already mentioned this before, but the air in the Upper World will be harsh towards you," Neoma said to her Battle Representatives, who just gave her a look that said they already knew that. "My divine father-in-law—"

"What ’father-in-law?’"

Aigoo.

Neoma changed her words because of Papa Boss’ complaint. "Lord Levi will adjust the air in the Upper World to make it breathable for humans. But you’ll still have a hard time adjusting. But don’t worry, I will help you with that. Just please endure it for a bit."

It was funny that her allies looked at her as if she were just stating the obvious.

That meant they had already expected that from her.

They have so much faith in me.

"Is everyone ready?"

Aigoo.

Everyone looked at the person who appeared out of thin air next to Neoma.

That person was none other than Ruto, of course.

"Yeah, we’re ready," Neoma said after Ruto exchanged polite greetings with the others. "Are you going to open a portal here?"

"Yes, but I need Trevor Kesser’s help," Ruto said, and then he looked at Trevor. "You know what to do, right?"

Trevor ignored Ruto and turned to Neoma. "What should I do, my Moon Princess? I don’t like taking orders from the commander~"

Aigoo.

"Just help Ruto, Trevor. And cooperate with him properly," Neoma said, waving her hand dismissively. "I want to leave as soon as possible."

"Yes, Moon Princess~"

Neoma let Ruto and Trevor discuss serious stuff behind her.

And then she lifted her head, looking at the two people standing in the entrance.

It was Nero and Mama Boss.

We’ve already said our goodbyes last night, so they’re probably here to see us off.

"Mama Boss, Nero, see you later," Neoma said with a smile. "We will all be back soon."

***

ARGH.

Neoma wasn’t really good at travelling via portal.

She was fine with Veton because she would just sleep on the Thunderbird’s back. Plus, it only took a few minutes.

But, this time, they were travelling using something that looked similar to a private jet.

Since both Ruto and Trevor created that ’vehicle,’ it was very close to the same thing.

Hence, the others who hadn’t experienced riding on a plane yet were all amazed.

Neoma wanted to give her children a tour, but she couldn’t even get up from her seat.

"It’s a huge group, so we’ll take about an hour before we reach the Upper World," Ruto whispered, and then he gently patted his shoulder. "Sleep in the meantime, Neoma."

"Okay," Neoma said, laying her head on Ruto’s shoulder while hugging his arm. "Who picked up the other team?"

"Inares."

"That loud thing, huh? Is it one of your subordinates?"

"Inares works for my divine father."

"I see," Neoma said, closing her eyes when the squeasy feeling in her stomach didn’t disappear after a while. "Wake me up when we get there, Ruto."

"Yeah, I will," Ruto said, gently covering Neoma’s closed eyes with his hand. "Sleep tight, Neoma."

***

HANNA knew that breathing in the Upper World would be their first problem, but she didn’t expect it to be this bad.

Half of their group was having a hard time breathing, despite the adjusted airflow there.

Only Prince Skylus, Princess Monik, Lord Manu, Lord Dominic Zavaroni, Trevor Kesser, and the former Emperor Nikolai could breathe normally.

The rest were gasping for air.

Even Hanna, of course.

"Oh, is this how Princess Neoma’s team is going to get wiped out?"

Ah.

It was Helstor, back in his child form.

This bastard looks like an arrogant, noble kid.

The God of Eternal Darkness wasn’t alone.

There were two people on either of his sides, while the rest of his Representatives was standing behind him.

Hanna immediately recognized the woman on Helstor’s left side.

Regina Crowell...

The man on Helstor’s right side looked slightly similar to Calyx de Luca, except for the hair and eye color, of course.

He looks like if Calyx de Luca had brown hair and green eyes.

But the man carried the same arrogant air around Calyx de Luca.

"Is the air here too harsh for you?" Helstor asked in a mocking tone. "Then do me a favor and just drop dead already~"

Most of the Representatives behind the god snickered.

Before anyone from Neoma’s side could talk back...

"Hey, you’re being brave because Princess Neoma is asleep, aren’t you?"

It was Regina Crowell.

And, yes, that woman was telling the truth.

Neoma was sleeping in Commander Ruto Solfrid’s arms.

"Don’t dish it out when you can’t take it," Regina Crowell warned Helstor. "When have you won against Princess Neoma when it comes to verbal assault?"

Oho?

Hanna didn’t expect that from Regina Crowell.

Helstor lost his arrogant smirk as he looked up at Regina Crowell. "Are you taking Princess Neoma’s side?"

"No, I’m just trying to use my brain here," Regina Crowell said bluntly. "If you’re hoping that an aggravated Princess Neoma will mess up and get distracted, then you’re wrong. An angry Princess Neoma is scarier and stronger. If you want to make her angry by mocking her allies, then go ahead. Let’s see if I’m right or wrong."

"I hate that you’ve gotten smarter, Regina Crowell."

It was Hanna.

And, yes, she could breathe again properly.

The others, too.

It was because the air around them had suddenly changed.

That could only mean one thing.

"Dropping the formalities now, aren’t we? Hanna Quinzel?" After greeting Hanna, Regina Crowell’s gaze went past her. "You’re awake, Princess Neoma."

"Yeah, I had a good nap."

Oh.

Hanna was slightly surprised when Neoma was suddenly standing next to her.

And the first thing the Imperial Princess did upon waking up?

Look down on Helstor, of course.

"Regina Crowell saved your lame ass, Helstor," Neoma said in a mocking, arrogant tone. Of course, it wouldn’t be Neoma if she weren’t cursing. "I guess it’s true that when the boss cat’s away, the freaking mice will play. Did you have fun mocking my kids, huh? I fucking hope that you did. After that, that would be the last time you’d be having a damn great time here. You and your fuckass team will get what you deserve later."

Hanna and their allies were already used to Neoma cursing that she didn’t bat an eyelash.

Though I can see the former emperor and Uncle Gavin covering their faces as if they were embarrassed for failing to raise a polite child.

Anyway, the other side— except for Helstor and Regina Crowell— looked shocked.

Ah, this is probably the first time they met Neoma.

"An Imperial Princess cursing like a bandit..."

"Scary..."

"Regina was right..."

Neoma’s gaze went past Helstor, and then she smirked while looking at the enemy’s Representatives. "You laughed earlier— I heard all of you."

Chills.

The murmurs suddenly stopped, and it was obvious that everyone got a shiver down their spines.

Yeah, no one is better than Neoma when it comes to verbal assault.

"Alright, I got your point already," Helstor said, sighing. "I was just teasing your teammates a little, Princess Neoma."

Neoma just looked down at Helstor with a blank look on her face.

And Hanna recognized that look.

Neoma is already planning Helstor’s funeral in her head.

"Princess Neoma, can you please watch your language while you’re here at my place?"

Only one being could dare scold Neoma for the way she spoke.

"Ah, Divine Father-in-law," Neoma said, beaming when she looked up and saw Lord Levi. "I’ll try to be polite if people will fuck off and just do what we’re here to do."

Hanna could only smile while shaking her head.

Neoma is really good at boosting our morale.
