Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!
Chapter 1079: FEELING SICK
MONA wondered why Dominic Zavaroni gathered only the adults for a meeting.
By adults, she meant herself, Nikolai, and Gavin Quinzel.
Usually, Neoma was involved in ’big talks’ like that.
Is this something that Neoma shouldn’t know about?
The former saint even put a soundproof barrier in the conference room that he requested.
"I have some good news to share with Your Majesties."
Ah.
Dominic Zavaroni said it was good news, but he looked gloomy.
Moreover, Mona also noticed that Gavin Quinzel didn’t look shock or curious.
Which means he already knows what Lord Zavaroni is about to say.
"Nichole is pregnant."
Mona gasped, surprised.
Even Nikolai was shocked, his eyes widening a bit.
"According to Prince Skylus and Princess Monik’s premonition, Nichole and I are having twins."
Ah, so it’s really in their blood to carry twins, huh?
"Did you leave the other world knowing that Nichole is already pregnant?"
Nikolai didn’t sound angry, but it was obvious that he was having complicated feelings.
"Yes, we found out that Nichole was pregnant before we were summoned here," Dominic Zavaroni said, looking at Nikolai with a bitter smile on his face. "Are you going to scold me, Your Majesty?"
"I honestly don’t know what to feel right now," Nikolai admitted, letting out a deep sigh. "I’m upset that you left my pregnant sister in the other world. But, on the other hand, I can’t resent you because you’re here for my daughter."
The former saint chuckled, but it was clear that his laugh sounded shallow. "Thank you for your honesty."
"We’re sorry," Mona said, because she felt like an apology was in place. Dominic Zavaroni and Gavin Quinzel were both there for the Imperial Family, after all. "We’re sorry that you had to leave Nichole when you should be by her side, Lord Zavaroni." She then turned to Gavin Quinzel. "You, too, Gavin. We’re sorry. You had to leave Areum and Nabi to fight with us in this war."
Nikolai nodded in agreement. "We’re truly sorry."
Oh?
Mona didn’t expect Nikolai to apologize when she had already done that.
But she was glad that he did.
"The Imperial Family doesn’t need to apologize to us. It was our decision to come here," Gavin Quinzel said. "Moreover, we didn’t leave our families unprotected. Don’t worry too much."
"I didn’t bring up Nichole’s pregnancy to hear an apology from the Imperial Family," Dominic Zavaroni said calmly. "I only told you just in case I couldn’t make it back. If that happens, please take care of Nichole and our twins."
"It’s the same for me," Gavin Quinzel added. "In case I couldn’t make it back, please take care of Areum and Nabi."
Haaah.
It was heavy.
Mona wasn’t sure if she would even survive once the war started, but...
It’s something that we should take responsibility for.
"Yes, we will take care of them," Mona promised, and Nikolai nodded in agreement. "Lord Zavaroni, is Nichole’s pregnancy something that you don’t want Neoma to know?"
"Yes. I already asked Prince Skylus and Princess Monik to keep it a secret from Princess Neoma," Dominic Zavaroni said while nodding. "Princess Neoma already feels guilty that we were summoned here to help her. She’ll only feel guiltier if she finds out that Nichole is pregnant. I don’t want Princess Neoma to get distracted."
Mona could only nod in agreement.
My daughter has a strong sense of responsibility, after all.
"It’s funny how Princess Neoma worries about us when she’s the one in the most danger," Gavin Quinzel said, sighing while shaking his head. "We’re headed to the Upper World— the home of the major gods who want her dead. And, yet, she can’t stop worrying about other people."
"That’s just how Neoma is," Nikolai said, smiling bitterly. "And that’s the reason why we all feel protective of her, right?"
Everyone nodded in agreement.

"CONGRATULATIONS on your marriage, Lord Jasper."
"Thank you, Lady Hanna."
Hanna smiled, satisfied that she and Duke Jasper Hawthorne were close enough to speak casually to each other now.
We’re business partners, after all.
"It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to introduce Lady Ellery to you," Jasper Hawthorne said. "She had to return to our estate before the vultures started to prey on my wealth."
The ’vultures’ were the greedy relatives that the young duke had.
"Introduce her to me once we return," Hanna said confidently. Yes, she was already claiming that they were going to make it back home. "I want to meet the person who helped us expand our business in such an effective way."
"Of course. I’ll introduce Lady Ellery to you later," Jasper Hawthorne said while nodding. "Rest assured, while we’re gone, Lady Ellery will take care of our business on my side."
"And my parents will take care of our business on my side."
More like her mother would.
Father will be busy aiding Nero— no, Emperor Nero in the upcoming war.
"Lady Hanna..."
Hmm?
Hanna looked over her shoulder and found Lewis standing awkwardly behind her. "What is it, Lewis?"
"Princess Neoma," Lewis whispered in a worried voice. "She suddenly locked herself in her room."
Oh?
***
NEOMA wasn’t blessed with a ’vision’ like her mother did.
I’m talking about prophetic visions.
But, sometimes, she would see a glimpse of the future.
And that happened just now.
Two young kids.
A boy and a girl.
Both possessed white hair and red eyes— proof of their Imperial blood.
And those children...
They are Aunt Nichole’s kids.
BLERGH.
Neoma threw up in the toilet, even though nothing came out because she hadn’t eaten anything yet.
But she couldn’t help but feel a knot on her stomach.
It was already a huge sacrifice for Uncle Dominic to leave Aunt Nichole to fight for her.
And, now, she was finding out that he left his pregnant wife behind?
I feel so sick.
"I’m sorry, Aunt Nichole," Neoma whispered to herself, shutting her eyes tight while trying to make a decision. "Should I send Uncle Dominic and Appa back to the other world?"
