Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

Chapter 1073: THE GREAT SUMMONER

  • Next Chapter

AH, no wonder Mother has flattened this dead mountain in a day.

Nero was impressed while watching his mother spar with her Spirit Guardians.

What are their names again?

Ah, right.

Blaze, the Fire Spirit Guardian.

He burnt all the dead trees in this dead mountain.

Marina, the Water Spirit Guardian.

She created a lake when it shouldn’t have been possible.

Olive, the Wood Spirit Guardian.

He created trees that are alive and could attack anyone.

Rockwell, the Earth Spirit Guardian.

He created those stone golems.

Roseanne, the Light Spirit Guardian.

She’s... sleeping.

Sleeping while leaning her head against William, who was sitting under a tree that Olive created.

Of course, William was watching his master with honey in his eyes,

Tsk.

"Mother."

Her mother waved her rose-gold staff, effectively crushing all the stone golems and the ’living’ trees around her.

After the fight, only then did his mother turn to her.

"Nero, what are you doing here?"

By ’here,’ his mother meant the barren land in one of their territories.

His mother chose that place so no living thing would be affected by her extreme training.

"I got your request approved, Mother," Nero said. "You are now permitted to enter Hazelden Kingdom and use the location that you chose as your new training field."

The location in question was the part of Hazelden Kingdom where Delwyn, the Ice Spirit Guardian, was currently sleeping.

And that’s the reason why Mother wants to train there.

"It was Melvin Luchessi who processed the request and got it approved," Nero added. "He works fast, so if you have other requests, please don’t hesitate to tell us."

His mother chuckled. "I already hear Melvin crying."

Nero just smiled, and then he glanced at the Spirit Guardians staring at him intently.

Moreover, those beings started talking about him, so he couldn’t ignore them.

"It’s Master’s son..."

"Argh, he looks like Master’s husband..."

"Horrible! Awful! I don’t like Master’s son’s face! Too scary!"

"He doesn’t look as friendly as Princess Neoma..."

Nero shot the noisy Spirit Guardians a cold look, and those scaredy-cats immediately hid behind his mother.

"Don’t provoke him if you can’t handle him," William, who was now walking towards them next to Roseanne, said to his fellow Guardians. "As you said, Nero is different from Neoma Roseheart de Moonasterio. He’ll attack you if you piss him off, even if you are Mona’s Spirit Guardians."

Nero ignored William because he was more intrigued by the female Spirit Guardian standing next to him.

Roseanne, isn’t she?

Out of all of his mother’s Spirit Guardians, only William and Roseanne looked human.

Blaze was like a ball of fire.

Marina was like a huge teardrop.

Olive was like a small tree— a bonsai, to be precise.

Rockwell was a small stone golem (that could increase his size at any moment).

"You are more of a Roseheart than a de Moonasterio," Roseanne commented as if she were amused. "Why don’t you focus on practicing how to summon gods and Spirits, child?"

"Because I’m not interested," Nero said bluntly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Summoning is as easy as breathing, so why do I need to waste my time practicing a skill I can already use?"

His mother’s Spirit Guardians looked dumbfounded for some reason.

"He’s just as arrogant as his twin sister," Roseanne commented, sighing while shaking her head. "Well, Princess Neoma has the skills to back it up. How about you, our little emperor?"

"Don’t provoke my son," his mother scolded her Spirit Guardians. "Nero, ignore them."

Hmm.

Nero knew that he should ignore such provocations.

But his competitive spirit was awakened.

As much as I love Neoma, I hate losing to her in mundane stuff.

Of course, he could give up the throne for his twin sister easily.

Nero would even die for Neoma if she asked him to surrender his life for her.

But a little competition for small stuff like this won’t hurt.

"Mother, can Neoma summon gods?"

His mother tilted her head to one side while thinking. "It’s true that Neoma has frequent encounter with gods. But even I can’t tell if she’s summoning them since Neoma doesn’t use the Roseheart way of summoning gods and Spirits. As you already know, your twin sister has her own "style" of doing things."

Right.

"Then I’ll summon a god using the Roseheart way, to prove that I have the skills to back up my arrogance," Nero said casually. "Which god should I summon?"

"How about Genevieve?" William said, mentioning the name of the goddess that Nero’s mother would often use in a fight. "It’s been a while since you were able to summon Genevieve, Mona."

"It’s probably because Genevieve is still recovering from the damage that she received when we fought the Ancient Devil last time," Mona said, sighing. And then she looked at Nero. "Forget it, son. Genevieve isn’t a major god, but she’s a god at a mid-tier level."

"But Neoma can summon major gods."

"Because Neoma Roseheart de Moonasterio piss them off so much that they want to grab her by the collar," William said, scoffing. "That’s your twin sister’s "style.""

"Hey, stop throwing shade at my daughter," his mother scolded William. "If you have nothing nice to say about my baby, then shut your mouth."

William frowned, and it looked like he was about to cry after getting scolded.

It didn’t help that William’s fellow Spirit Guardians started teasing him.

"Scolded! Nagged! William pissed off Master!"

"And we love seeing it."

"That’s what you get for hating on an innocent child~"

"Are you crying, William?"

"I am not," William said, almost growling at his fellow Spirit Guardians. "Do you all want to die, huh?"

Hmm.

While his mother was busy scolding the Spirit Guardians who suddenly started fighting among themselves, Nero looked up at the sky.

He knew how to summon gods and Spirits, as taught by William.

But he didn’t like using oration because it made him look like he was talking to himself, so he only said the oration in his mind.

Now let’s summon Genevieve.

Nero closed his eyes and, as soon as he did, he saw the midnight blue rose stabbed into his heart.

He pulled it out, and then...

Come out, Genevieve.

***

MONA gasped when the ground suddenly shook, and a magic circle glowed around Nero.

He’s summoning a god!

And she could tell that it wasn’t just any god.

The goosebumps on her arms told her that Nero was summoning a mid-tier god— an upper mid-tier god, to be precise. Something closer to a major god than just a level above the minor gods.

Something like...

Genevieve?

Mona gasped when a figure suddenly appeared behind Nero— the figure of a woman dressed in a white robe, her long and curly hair dancing with the wind.

No, this couldn’t be!

To say that she was shocked would be an understatement.

"Genevieve?"

Mona wasn’t shocked that Nero was able to summon Genevieve— she was shocked that her son was able to summon Genevieve’s physical body in the human world.

But how...?

Most gods couldn’t come to the human world because their real form could kill humans!
