Chapter 556 King's Sword (Part 4)
As Kaizen recovered from the impact of the fall, he looked closely at his new surroundings.
Majestic, snow-capped mountains rose up around him, creating a stunning and imposing landscape. The snow fell softly from the sky, creating a white blanket that stretched across the temple courtyard, which appeared to be an abandoned place, having the entire wooden structure of the main building on display and several tiles missing from the roofs.
Each snowflake was like a small diamond floating in the air, and the cold, fresh air caressed Kaizen’s skin.
The place had a serene and mystical atmosphere, where stillness and grandeur blended harmoniously.
The sight of this new world aroused a variety of emotions in Kaizen. He felt a mixture of awe, wonder and even fear, because he had no idea where he was.
However, his moment of contemplation was abruptly interrupted when a deafening roar echoed through the skies.
Kaizen raised his eyes and saw a colossal creature flying through the sky. It was the sea monster from before, and now this looked even more like a Chinese dragon, its shining scales glittered with vibrant colors, as if they were a cosmic painting. Amidst the sky, the folds in its body contorted like the roads of a distant nebula, and its presence was overwhelming.
The monster now looked like a celestial being, with its imposing form floating gracefully in the air. It had no wings, but the mere movement of it was enough to create turbulent winds that stirred the snow and made the temple courtyard tremble.
The dragon’s eyes glowed with a fierce, piercing intensity, conveying an imminent threat.
Kaizen felt a mixture of awe and apprehension at the magnificence and danger posed by this monster. Unlike when he was in the water, he could clearly see now how imposing this monster was. It was a creature of a size that defied human comprehension, an encounter with a legend that surpassed all his expectations. As the dragon snaked through the sky, a sense of defiance invaded Kaizen’s heart. He knew he could not run away from this impending battle, even if the magnitude of the challenge seemed insurmountable.
With the King’s Sword in hand, he was determined to face this monster. In fact, he was excited about it.
Kaizen took a deep breath and focused his mind. He prepared himself for the impending confrontation, feeling the divine power of the King’s Sword pulsing in his hands. It was as if the sword itself was eager to face this new form of the creature.
The Chinese dragon, with its mile-long folds and imposing presence, plunged towards Kaizen.
“FALL BEFORE MY PRESENCEA!!!” The dragon roared in Kaizen’s mind. Its razor-sharp claws gleamed like distant stars, and its gaping mouth revealed a blazing fire that defied the very sky.
Therefore, Kaizen dodged the dragon’s attack, flying towards it with a leap.
The fire spewed by the dragon hit the ground of the courtyard, melting all the snow and serving as a contrast to Kaizen’s silhouette, which appeared amidst the flames.
Kaizen’s divine blade sliced through the air with an intense glow before it was even close to the dragon, only to suddenly grow a hundredfold in size to a colossal form, meeting the dragon’s scales with overwhelming force. The clash between the spectral form of the divine sword and the heavenly scales sent waves of powerful energy throughout the region. The skies rattled and sounds reverberated throughout the surroundings, sending a shockwave that displaced snow and debris from the temple.
As Kaizen struggled against the dragon’s resistance, he allowed the divine power to flow through him, meaning that it was not him who was using the King’s Sword, but rather the other way around, it was the King’s Sword that was using his channeling body. This is probably what Aelon meant when he stated that Kaizen was one of the few with enough power to use this sword at its peak.
The fight proceeded fiercely, with Kaizen and the Chinese dragon moving in a deadly ballet through the air above the temple.

As the battle unfolded, Kaizen felt enveloped in a mixture of awe and respect for the creature he faced. The dragon was a manifestation of willpower itself, an entity whose strength and power transcended any other Boss Kaizen had ever faced, no wonder he didn’t even have a warning about it.
With each blow exchanged, Kaizen felt his body more. The King’s Sword drained a lot of mana per second, perhaps at the same rate as it dealt damage. However, he wasn’t about to get tired yet. He channeled a lot of mana into his next attack, using <Giant’s Lungs> to increase all of his attributes, and the divine blade flashed brightly, slicing through the air and meeting the dragon’s scales once more.
The impact of the blow reverberated through the temple courtyard, creating a shockwave that made the very sky tremble.
The dragon let out a deafening roar, its cosmic folds writhing even more and so its tail slammed into Kaizen unintentionally.
The Psyker fell to the ground like a meteor, and when he got up, on his forehead was blood and he was covered in sweat.
“How the hell can I defeat this creature? Even with this weapon he’s managing to resist…. Seriously, how much HP does this thing have?” Kaizen asked aloud and then saw the creature looking at him with even more hatred. Then, he sighed and spread his arms, calling the dragon for a direct attack. “Come on! Get on top of me! Attack me!” shouted Kaizen with a smile.
Seeing the smile on his opponent’s face, the dragon dared to smile with hatred as well, showing his sharp teeth.
