Chapter 241 Shocking The Crowd
Dennisa was most concerned about Valentina's invisibility as she was not sure how to deal with it.
In fact, she had to consult her father, and he only told her a single solution was possible, but it would be up to her whether she could take down Valentina or not.
She, however, was inwardly feeling tensed when she remembered how Valentina blocked her hand when she tried to touch Damien.
She had to exert most of her strength to wring her hand free from Valentina's iron grip despite her being five levels stronger than her.
But now, Valentina was two levels stronger than before, and she didn't want to believe that Valentina was as abnormal as her guts were telling her.
Deciding not to give her the chance to go invisible, Dennisa swiftly swirled her whip as numerous wind blades manifested in the air and surrounded Valentina from all sides.
This was the solution her father told her as he said that even if Valentina went invisible, she was bound to at least defend herself against one of the wind blades, and Dennisa would know Valentina's position as well.
Dennisa wanted to surround Valentina in a river of wind blades before giving her a chance to attack back.
However, Valentina's expression remained stone cold, and she didn't even take out her weapon, making Dennisa's expression twist in anger, thinking that Valentina was looking down on her.
But she smirked as she thought that Valentina was standing still because she doesn't know how to counter her attack.
However, her eyes widened when she saw Valentina rushing towards her while her body seemed to be glitching. And those wind blades seemed to go right through her body as if it was just an illusory body.
But no matter how much she spread her senses, she sensed that it was indeed Valentina's real body that was rushing towards her.
Dennisa decided not to worry about it and madly lashed her whip towards Valentina when she saw her getting close to her fast.
But Valentina glitched through her whip as it passed straight through her body, making Dennisa's mouth go wide and her eyes as round as a pufferfish.
Valentina gave a cold smile as she smashed in Dennisa's left side of her face with just her iron-like fist.
Dennisa's skin rippled like water as some spittle inadvertently spit out from her mouth, making her face twist into an ugly expression.
Even a shockwave was sent out from Valentina's punch as it even lifted off the dust from the ground, and Dennisa's cheeks sunk in as if Valentina was punching clay.
At that moment, everyone was shocked to see what just happened as some even stood on their feet with an expression of disbelief.
In fact, Roy and Damien had their eyes glued towards Arena #2, seeing Valentina passing nonchalantly through all those numerous wind blades as if they were nothing.
But Damien knew that Valentina's body seemed to be glitching because she was phasing through all those wind blades, and he knew that a lot of her soul energy would be burned up each time she makes her body itself illusory to phase herself through anything.
Still, he never saw her do that in a spar because she never had to and all Valentina told him was that she required a lot of energy to phase through things.
Damien guessed that she could phase through things for a maximum of a few seconds with her current cultivation till she ran out of soul energy, and that was how extremely energy-consuming it was.
But not only Damien but even Leon Xeton and Reva were also astonished to see how overpowered Valentina was. Not only she had the ability to go invisible, but she could even phase through ethereal attacks, and that was something that could even tip a battle in her favor even if she was facing a stronger opponent.
Dennisa was the most shocked when she saw Valentina rush right towards her as if those wind blades were not even a threat to Valentina in the slightest.
And when she got punched, she felt like her brain was rattled within her skull and her cheekbone fracturing, as if she got hit by a speeding iron rod right on her face.
Valentina didn't even feel like using her weapon because she thought it would be an overkill and decided to finish Dennisa in just one punch.
*BANG!*
Dennisa flew back like a kite and hit heavily against the ethereal barrier surrounding the arena. Because of how strong the barrier was, she felt like her spine was hammered against a steel wall.
Just as she crashed against the barrier, she coughed out blood with an aghast expression, and her whip had already left her hand.
With her face facing the ground, she crashed on the ground, and her body only slightly twitched for a while before becoming motionless completely.
A complete knockout! With just a single punch!... Everyone screamed inwardly, witnessing the unbelievable scene that just happened.
Roy had a baffled expression on his face, and he even forgot about Damien momentarily seeing Dennisa getting knocked out with just a punch despite the fact that she was just as strong as him.
Doesn't this mean that Valentina could knock him out with just a single punch as well?
He gulped, thinking how Valentina was able to cross three levels to defeat someone with just a single move. Even a sweat formed on his forehead, thinking how humiliating it would have been if he had to fight against Valentina, and she defeated him just like she defeated Dennisa.
However, Damien wasn't surprised that Valentina was that strong since he knew that she would at least be half as strong as her ethereal beast form in her human form.
And he already witnessed before how terrifyingly strong she was in her ethereal beast form. He could still clearly remember how earth-shaking her roar was as if one's soul would be shaken from just her roar.
"Heh, now you know how powerful my girlfriend is?" Damien smirked at Roy with a proud smile.
Roy still had his jaw slacked as he slowly turned his head over to Damien with an unnerved expression.
Roy again turned his head towards Arena #2 and saw Valentina walking over to Dennisa and flipping her body around using her ethereal energy.
And then, with a devilish grin, using her ethereal energy, she marked something on Dennisa's forehead, who was still knocked out with her eyes rolled back.
"Now you don't need to trouble yourself with fulfilling the bet we had," Valentina mumbled in a derisive tone.
Ximir was astonished as he didn't expect the match between Dennisa and Valentina to end this fast. However, seeing Valentina marking something on Dennisa's forehead, he decided to end the match before Valentina did something severe to Dennisa.
In a loud voice, he announced, "In Arena #2, Valentina emerges as the winner against Dennisa. Congratulations to the winner. The winner can leave the arena now."
The audience, who was in a shocked state, had their senses jolted by Ximir's announcement, and they were even more shocked to see the word 'BITCH' marked in blood on Dennisa's forehead and saw Valentina walking away in a calm and cool manner as if she just dealt with some rabid dog.
They couldn't understand how Valentina had the guts to do something like that to the prodigal heir of one of the empire's top five families. They wondered if it was because she was the personal disciple of Alchemist Azrael and was confident about her master's influence and power.
Those who didn't believe the rumors about the Bloody Fairly now gulped, thinking that they should have believed what their friends told them.
However, they all felt disheartened, thinking why such a goddess-level beauty like her had to be such a demoness.
But most wondered how Dennisa was going to react once she woke up, and some even felt pity for Dennisa seeing her like that despite knowing her true nature, while some rejoiced inwardly.
Ximir furrowed his brows seeing the bloody word on Dennisa's forehead. He couldn't imagine what Harvey Rivers was going to feel about it.
"In the future, I think you will finally have a worthy rival," Leon Xeton muttered to Reva in an expectant tone.
Reva's eyes flashed as she looked at Valentina from afar, and for a moment, she suddenly thought about the relationship between Valentina and Damien.
