Chapter 347: Chapter 328: Reinforcements Have Arrived

Fang Chenyi frowned in thought for a moment before nodding. His gaze swept over the seven people lying on the floor as he spoke coolly,

"The dead deserve our respect. They lived on the sea, so let them return to it."

Hearing Fang Chenyi’s words, Qi Xiaotian, who was standing to the side, couldn’t help but feel a surge of admiration. ’Brother Fang is really something else,’ he thought. ’Even now, he has to be so eloquent. Why not just say we’re tossing them in the sea to feed the sharks?’

Of course, that was just a thought.

Having received Fang Chenyi’s order, Qi Xiaotian gave Liu Yishou a meaningful look. Liu Yishou then walked over to Wolz, who was still unconscious on the floor.

Seeing this, Fang Chenyi knew what was about to happen. He stood and walked over to a window, turning to gaze out at the inky black surface of the sea, his heart filled with a swirl of emotions.

’When did I become so capable of killing without even batting an eye...’

Just then, a sharp CRACK sounded from behind him. On the floor, Wolz’s eyes shot open, but the last thing he ever saw was his own back.

Qi Xiaotian quickly walked up behind Fang Chenyi and said softly,

"Brother Fang, should I open the door now?"

Fang Chenyi didn’t speak, merely gesturing with his hand.

Qi Xiaotian nodded, walked over, and pulled open the bolted door. A clamor of voices immediately flooded in from the hallway.

Several security guards had been standing in the hallway when Fang Chenyi and the others first entered, and they had obviously heard the recent gunshots as well.

Just as they were about to smash down the bolted door and rush in, a voice came over their earpieces—it was David Rogers. He informed them that the new owner of the cruise ship was on board. After being shown a photo, they realized that their new boss was one of the three Huaxia men who had just gone inside.

And so, they had waited meekly by the door. Despite hearing the gunshots, they knew this wasn’t something mere security guards like them could get involved in.

After a long, tense wait, the door finally opened. A young Huaxia man stepped out and gestured for them to come closer.

The men hurried forward, but when they got a clear look inside the room, they froze. The sound of sharp, collective gasps filled the air.

None of them could have imagined that their boss was dead. And the five big men along with him.

However, no one noticed that among the guards, a slightly smaller, slender black man’s eyes filled with sorrow upon seeing the bodies of the five other black men on the floor.

But he was quick to conceal it. With his head lowered, no one saw the vicious glint that replaced the grief in his eyes.

Seeing the men enter, Fang Chenyi turned around and addressed them.

"I presume you all know who I am by now. That’s right, this cruise ship is mine. These men just tried to kill me. Luckily, I figured out their plan in time. Otherwise, I’d be the one lying on the floor right now."

At this, Fang Chenyi paused, observing the men’s expressions before continuing,

"Heh. No need to be so tense. I’m not a man who enjoys killing the innocent. As long as you do your jobs properly, I won’t make things difficult for any of you. Alright, death erases all debts. Now, take all of them and commit their bodies to the sea. Let them rest in peace."

After saying his piece, Fang Chenyi paid them no more mind, turning back to gaze out at the endless, dark surface of the sea.

Qi Xiaotian stood protectively by his side, while Liu Yishou supervised the security guards as they carried the seven bodies away one by one and tossed them into the ocean.

In the pitch-black of night, their actions went almost completely unnoticed.

Once all the bodies had been thrown into the sea, Liu Yishou had the men do a quick clean-up of the bloodstains on the floor.

When they were finished, Fang Chenyi turned his gaze to the men before him, glanced at his watch, and said coolly,

"Go now. Use the communications system to notify every department head on this cruise ship. Tell them to meet me here in four hours!"

Having received their orders, the men sprang into action. They went over to the communications console, which Liu Yishou and Qi Xiaotian had already checked thoroughly several times, and began contacting all the managers on the ship.

Once that was done, the men watched their new Huaxia boss, Fang Chenyi, cautiously, awaiting his next command.

Fang Chenyi simply waved a hand, motioning for them to stand guard in the room.

With that, Fang Chenyi leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes to rest. Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou took up positions, one standing beside him and the other at the door. The remaining security guards stood by nervously.

Fang Chenyi was waiting. Waiting for his own people to arrive.

’After what just happened, I can’t trust anyone on this ship.’ He was already making plans in his head. ’When we get back to the docks, I’ll dismiss the entire crew. I’ll give them severance and travel money, then charter another ship to send them away by sea.’

’It’s not that I’m being heartless,’ he reasoned. ’Who knows how many of them have connections to David Rogers and his ilk? Who knows which one might try to stab me in the back?’

’This ship is going to be docked at the foot of my Lotus Peak Mountain. My family will definitely be sailing on it. I’m not afraid of these people trying to pull something on me, but I can’t risk my family’s safety.’

For that reason, Fang Chenyi’s resolve was absolute.

The minutes ticked by. Perhaps the recent slaughter had left Fang Chenyi mentally and physically exhausted, because he soon drifted off to sleep. When Qi Xiaotian woke him, it was already past three in the morning.

The sky brightens earlier at sea than on land. Though it was only just past three, a sliver of light was already visible on the distant horizon.

"What time is it?"

Woken by Qi Xiaotian, Fang Chenyi stretched lazily and asked the question.

"It’s a little past three. I just got word—our people are nearby. They can begin boarding in about half an hour."

Fang Chenyi nodded, then gestured to the security guards. "Get the captain currently at the helm on the line. Tell him I want to speak with him."

The men had been standing nervously at the door for hours. Hearing Fang Chenyi’s summons, they hurried over. But perhaps from standing in one position for too long, one of them stumbled and fell to the floor with a THUD.

The sudden movement startled Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou. By the time the fallen man scrambled to lift his head, he found the dark muzzles of two pistols aimed directly at his forehead.
