Rich Parents Found Me After I Got a Tycoon System? Yeah, I'm Not Interested
Chapter 483 - 482: Cinderella Is Not Cinderella
"You look beautiful. You don’t have anything scheduled for today, do you? Shall we go on a date?"
Lu Yunque had a rare free day and wanted to spend some quality time alone with Yun Zijin.
The morning was already gone, but Lu Yunque hoped the afternoon and evening would belong to him.
"Where do you want to go on a date at this time of day?"
Yun Zijin racked her brain but couldn’t think of any good date spots for this time.
"Just being together is a date, isn’t it?"
Catching Yun Zijin off guard, Lu Yunque used a deft move and instantly pulled her onto his lap.
Zero One, who was driving, saw this and discreetly raised the partition between the front and back seats.
"What are you doing? We’re in a car, and someone else is here!"
Yun Zijin couldn’t believe Lu Yunque was so bold. ’Who taught him this?’
She mentally ran through a list of names and quickly zeroed in on a few suspects.
"What other people? The partition is up."
Zero One was driving, and the partition was already raised.
The other bodyguards were in another car; they had no idea what was happening.
Lu Yunque put on an innocent expression, as if he had no idea what she was talking about.
Yun Zijin was speechless.
"Let me down. If anyone sees this, what about your public image?"
The untouchable idol had fallen from his pedestal. ’The socialites of Dijing are going to hate my guts,’ Yun Zijin could already imagine.
"What image? I don’t cultivate a public image."
At Lu Yunque’s level, he had absolutely no need to create a persona for himself to win public favor.
"Aren’t you supposed to be the cold, domineering CEO type? You’re completely breaking character right now, you know that?"
Yun Zijin poked Lu Yunque’s chest, right over his heart.
"I am a CEO, yes, but I also serve as a director. As for ’cold and domineering,’ where did you get that idea?"
Lu Yunque reviewed all his memories with Yun Zijin from their first meeting until now. ’I haven’t acted that cold, have I?’
As for "domineering," Lu Yunque felt that was just slander.
Whenever he ordered someone to do something, didn’t he always have a perfectly good reason?
Besides, that was all work-related, part of his employees’ duties. How could that be called domineering?
"Ah, well... that’s how it always is in TV shows and novels."
"The cold, domineering CEO is handsome, a neat freak, and has a bad stomach."
"Look at you. You’re handsome, right? You’re a bit of a neat freak, aren’t you? And you have stomach problems. You fit the description perfectly."
Lu Yunque opened his mouth, wanting to argue, but ultimately realized that everything Yun Zijin said was true.
But it was all a coincidence. His fastidiousness came from being unable to stand dust or dirt on floors and tables—it was a cleanliness obsession triggered by his OCD.
His stomach problems developed over time because he was often too busy with work to eat.
"Don’t think about all that nonsense. The things in TV shows are fake. The domineering CEO always falls for Cinderella, but in reality, which rich heir would ever marry a Cinderella?"
In the real world, a Cinderella and a domineering CEO would never even have the chance to meet.
Their life paths would likely never intersect. Take Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque, for example. If Yun Zijin hadn’t been linked to the Randomly Spend system and received the invitation to the Huaxin Auction that day, the two of them would never have met there.
A penniless Yun Zijin wouldn’t have quit her job or sought out Fang Shuxin to cancel her lease, meaning they would never have had a second chance to meet.
The two of them would have continued on their separate, parallel paths, either growing old alone or marrying and having children, living out their lives without ever disturbing one another.
"You and me... okay, I’m not Cinderella. But what about Tongtong and Fu Ze? They should count, right?"
"Qin Sitong is a Dijing local. Her family owns a house, a car, and has savings."
"Also, she knows you, and she’s now building her own career. How does that count as a Cinderella?"
"Finally, Cinderella’s father was a Duke. A commoner wouldn’t have even been qualified to attend the prince’s ball."
Yun Zijin was at a loss for words. Although she didn’t want to admit it, Lu Yunque was right.
"Fine, I guess it’s a world where only the common folk get hurt."
"Don’t overthink it. Since you have no plans this afternoon, just listen to me."
Just as Lu Yunque finished speaking, the silver-white minivan came to a stop.
Yun Zijin subconsciously glanced out the window and found herself in a completely unfamiliar place.
"Where are we?"
"It’s a horse farm the four of us opened together. I haven’t been here in a while, and since I had a rare day off, I wanted to bring you here to have some fun."
"A horse farm? Don’t tell me you guys just casually invested in one so you could have a place to have fun whenever you wanted?"
The more she said it, the more plausible it seemed.
"Not exactly. It’s because we took a group trip to Tibet and had an amazing time galloping on horseback across the grasslands."
"Later, we went to someone else’s horse farm for a ride, but we felt the place was too small to really let loose."
"So you all just pooled your money and opened the biggest horse farm in Dijing?"
Although Yun Zijin’s phrasing was a bit odd, what she said was the truth, so Lu Yunque nodded.
"That’s not an incorrect way to put it."
"You really are a textbook evil capitalist!"
They disliked that someone else’s farm was too small, so they turned around and opened a huge one. She wondered what the owner of that other farm would think.
Yun Zijin wasn’t a businesswoman, and Lu Yunque couldn’t very well argue that she was a capitalist too.
"So, do you want to go for a ride?"
"Yes! But I’ve never ridden a horse before. Are you sure it’s a good idea?"
"It’ll be fine. I’ll teach you. I’ll pick out a gentle horse for you."
The horses at the farm had different temperaments; some were spirited, while others were docile.
For a beginner like Yun Zijin, a docile horse was most suitable, otherwise, accidents could easily happen.
Lu Yunque led Yun Zijin into the horse farm by the hand, with seven bodyguards following closely behind.
The manager of the horse farm, seeing Lu Yunque had arrived, hurried over to greet him.
"Mr. Lu, it’s been a while. The usual for today?"
"Not right away. My girlfriend is here for the first time. Find her a beautiful, gentle horse."
Lu Yunque knew Yun Zijin was a sucker for good looks; even when it came to horses, she would definitely prefer a pretty one.
The farm manager’s attention had been entirely on Lu Yunque, so he hadn’t even noticed Yun Zijin standing beside him.
"My apologies, my apologies! I was so focused on greeting Mr. Lu. My name is Ren Yao. You can just call me Xiao Ren. May I have your surname?"
Ren Yao quickly shifted gears, committing Yun Zijin’s face to memory. He absolutely could not fail to recognize her next time.
"Hello. My surname is Yun."
"Miss Yun, you both came at a great time. The farm just got a few new horses. They’ve all been trained by a horse master, so their temperaments are absolutely gentle. They won’t kick."
"They’re being fed right now. If you and Mr. Lu are interested, you could give it a try."
"It’s a good way to build a rapport with the horses more quickly."
Hearing Ren Yao’s suggestion, Yun Zijin was eager to try. Forget riding—she had never even fed a horse before.
