Reverend Insanity : Blood Path
Chapter 111 Bai Ning Bing Vs Lin Feng II
Lin Feng immediately activated the Bone Path Gu within his aperture. White light flashed across both arms as his bones rapidly grew outward, forming two semicircular bone shields.
Bang!
The ice blade smashed heavily against the white jade-like bone shield. Bai Ning Bing’s own strength combined with the momentum of his descent, sending a tremendous force through Lin Feng’s arms. Even with the strength he had previously gained from Strength Path Gu, Lin Feng felt considerable pressure.
Cracks rapidly spread across the ice blade before it shattered into fragments.
“You actually blocked that!” Bai Ning Bing landed nearby and laughed even more happily. “Hahaha, I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me!”
Lin Feng gave him no chance to continue celebrating. The bone shield on one arm withdrew as he twisted his waist and kicked directly toward Bai Ning Bing’s abdomen.
Bai Ning Bing’s smile vanished. Cold qi surged from both hands, instantly condensing into two ice blades that crossed before his body.
Bang!
Lin Feng’s kick struck the crossed blades and sent Bai Ning Bing flying backward. His feet scraped across the ground before he finally regained his balance.
“I have some good news for you.” Lin Feng smiled as the remaining bone shield retracted and a bone blade extended from his hand. “That attack just now consumed one and a half portions of my red steel primeval essence.”
Bai Ning Bing’s eyes immediately became colder.
“And one more thing…Lin Feng continue”
“Who asked you to hold back?” Bai Ning Bing interrupted him. “Worry about yourself first!”
A faint blue light flashed within his eyes. Ten ice spikes condensed in the air before him, their sharp tips aimed directly at Lin Feng. Before the first ten had even finished forming, another ten began appearing beside them.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Lin Feng swung the bone blade repeatedly, shattering the incoming ice spikes one after another. Fragments of ice scattered around him as a thought flashed through his mind. It’s clearly only Rank Two Ice Spike Gu, yet its power is already approaching Rank Three. Is this the power of a Ten Extreme Physique?
Before the last wave had even been destroyed, a white figure suddenly rushed out from behind the ice spikes. It was Bai Ning Bing.
Clang!
Ice blade and bone blade collided with a sharp metallic sound. The two exchanged several blows at close range before passing each other, carrying several steps forward by their own momentum. Bai Ning Bing suddenly twisted his waist, sending three ice spikes toward Lin Feng’s back.
Lin Feng turned and shattered them with his bone blade before swinging his other arm. A long bone spear shot out, tearing through the air as it flew directly toward Bai Ning Bing.
Bai Ning Bing’s gaze sharpened. After only a brief exchange, he had already realized that Lin Feng was nothing like the opponents he usually faced in Bai Clan Village. If he did not fight seriously, this battle could quickly become one-sided.
“If that’s all you’ve got, then you’re really disappointing me, Bai Ning Bing.”
Lin Feng attacked again, his bone blade flashing with cold light. During the battle, the bones throughout his body became weapons under the effects of his Bone Path Gu. Bone blades could emerge from his arms without warning, while thick bone shields formed whenever he needed to defend. At greater distances, bone spears shot forward one after another, leaving Bai Ning Bing little room to breathe.
His combat style could shift between offense and defense at any moment, making his attacks extremely difficult to predict. Even Bai Ning Bing, with the advantage provided by the Northern Dark Ice Soul Physique, found himself suppressed. His defenses were repeatedly broken, and several wounds soon appeared across his body, staining his white robe with blood.
“Is that all you’ve got?” Lin Feng yawned. Despite his careless appearance, however, there was no trace of contempt in his heart. Bai Ning Bing possessed a Ten Extreme Physique, and Lin Feng knew better than to underestimate his battle talent.
“Don’t underestimate me, you bastard!”
Bai Ning Bing gritted his teeth and forcefully corrected the position of his injured arm. Cold qi gathered in his hand, condensing into another ice blade. At the same time, Whirlwind Gu and Gale Gu secretly activated within his aperture.
Mortal Killer move, Ice Blade Storm!
At first, only a small current of cold wind appeared around Bai Ning Bing, but within a few breaths, it rapidly expanded. Fierce winds howled as frost spread across the ground, while countless ice blades revolved within the growing storm.
This was a killer move Bai Ning Bing had created himself, displaying his extraordinary combat talent. Ice Blade Gu, Whirlwind Gu, and Gale Gu worked together, combining movement, offense, and defense into a single killer move. An ordinary defensive Gu would find it extremely difficult to withstand its continuous assault.
The enormous white storm swept toward Lin Feng. His expression finally became serious as he watched it approach. Ice Blade Storm? I thought Bai Ning Bing only created this killer move after reaching Rank Three. So he already developed it this early?
A trace of excitement appeared in Lin Feng’s eyes. The world is far larger than what was shown in the original story. I really can’t underestimate these people.
Bai Ning Bing was only Rank Two peak stage, yet the power of Ice Blade Storm had already reached the level of a Rank Three attack. That alone was enough for Lin Feng to take it seriously.
“Lin Feng!” Bai Ning Bing’s voice emerged faintly from within the roaring storm. “Even if you’re Rank Three, once you’re caught in my Ice Blade Storm, you won’t be able to escape!”
Lin Feng’s lips curled upward. “Bai Ning Bing, you shouldn’t say something like that before checking whether your opponent can grow wings.”
Crack!
A sharp sound came from Lin Feng’s back as two pale-blue bone wings pierced through his clothes and unfolded behind him. Their surfaces possessed a smooth, jade-like luster, while their wide frames stretched freely on either side of his body.
Lin Feng spread the bone wings and flapped them with force. His body immediately rose from the ground, and another powerful flap carried him higher, allowing him to soar directly above the approaching Ice Blade Storm.
Within the swirling frost and wind, Bai Ning Bing stared upward, his expression darkening. His words had actually come true. The bastard really could grow wings.
Flying Gu were extremely rare among movement Gu and naturally carried enormous value. Most Gu Masters might never obtain one in their entire lives. Even within Bai Clan Village, only the clan leader and a handful of elders possessed gu worms that allowed them to fly.
