Return of the Celestial King
Chapter 456: Grain Avoidance Realm
In Ming City, Qin Tuo was secluded in his villa's basement, and no one dared to disturb him.
The entire basement was filled to the brim with Spirit Stones and various Spirit Pills and miraculous medicines from the Blood Moon Pavilion.
This was the fourth day. Qin Tuo had been in seclusion for four full days and had made enormous progress.
A tyrannical aura now swirled around his entire body, lingering indefinitely.
The Spirit Stones on the floor were almost completely depleted, reduced to a pile of worthless rock.
The Spiritual Qi from all the Spirit Pills and medicinal herbs from the Blood Moon Pavilion had also been completely absorbed by Qin Tuo.
Within the empty basement, wisps of an incomparably profound aura slowly drifted from Qin Tuo's body.
If anyone had been there, they would have been astonished to discover that it was as if Qin Tuo didn't exist in the basement at all.
It seemed as if the room were completely empty.
After four full days had passed, Qin Tuo slowly opened his eyes.
He hadn't eaten anything in four days, yet he felt no hunger whatsoever.
After briefly assessing his current realm, the corners of Qin Tuo's mouth lifted into a satisfied smile.
He then checked the condition of his body and couldn't hide his delight.
"Excellent. After four full days of seclusion, I've finally broken through to the Grain Avoidance Realm."
Qin Tuo muttered to himself, his eyes exceptionally bright, as if he could see everything clearly in the darkness.
His perception was now completely different from before. It was as if he could see every tiny detail in the world with perfect clarity.
Moreover, the faint comprehension of the fundamental principles of the universe that he had experienced before was now much clearer.
Qin Tuo was confident that he would be able to comprehend even more profound principles in the future.
Simply by reaching the Grain Avoidance Stage, Qin Tuo no longer needed to eat, and his physical abilities had taken a qualitative leap forward.
Gently clenching his fist, Qin Tuo felt an immense power contained within. It was as if he could topple a mountain with a single punch if he so desired.
His entire body seemed to become as clear as crystal, and its hardness was extreme, like a piece of indestructible vajra steel.
'I'm afraid this body of mine is even more terrifying than those superheroes in the movies!' Qin Tuo thought in astonishment.
However, an endless exhaustion soon washed over him.
After all, Qin Tuo had spent four days striving to break through his realm without any rest.
The only thing Qin Tuo wanted to do now was take a nice, hot bath and then sleep soundly.
Qin Tuo emerged from the basement. Instead of looking for Chen Man Ni, he decided to get some sleep first to recover his energy.
However, before he reached his room, he received a call from Kong Lianqing.
'What does this Kong Lianqing fellow want with me?'
Qin Tuo frowned, feeling a little displeased.
Qin Tuo had already fulfilled his agreement with Kong Lianqing by destroying the Blood Moon Pavilion. He had no desire for any further contact.
"Mr. Qin, I have something very important to discuss. I must ask you to make time in your busy schedule to meet me at the teahouse!"
Over the phone, however, Kong Lianqing's tone was extremely grave.
Qin Tuo sighed in resignation. He really just wanted to get some sleep.
But hearing the gravity in Kong Lianqing's voice, he thought for a moment and decided to go.
And so, forcing himself to ignore his fatigue, Qin Tuo went to a teahouse in Ming City Center.
He walked into a private room in the teahouse and saw Kong Lianqing sitting there, waiting patiently.
Sun Haicheng stood respectfully to the side, his hands held at his waist.
The moment he saw Qin Tuo arrive, Kong Lianqing's eyes lit up, and he immediately stood to greet him.
"Mr. Qin, you're here! Please, have a seat!"
Kong Lianqing personally guided Qin Tuo to a seat, then carefully took out a packet of fine tea and began to brew it for him.
"Mr. Qin, this is a top-grade tea I brought from the Capital City. You must be sure to savor it!"
Despite Kong Lianqing's enthusiastic demeanor, Qin Tuo shook his head and got straight to the point.
"Pavilion Master Kong, what is it you wanted to see me about?"
He didn't want to beat around the bush with Kong Lianqing. He just wanted to get this over with and go home to rest.
Kong Lianqing smiled and said,
"Mr. Qin, you truly are a straightforward man. To be honest, I only sought you out to express my gratitude. If it weren't for you, I'm afraid the Security Pavilion would have suffered a disastrous loss!"
After he finished, Sun Haicheng, who was standing nearby, nodded quickly. A respectful smile filled his face as he added,
"Yes, this operation succeeded thanks to Mr. Qin's help. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unthinkable!"
Recalling the traps and secret passages they had encountered at the Blood Moon Pavilion, Sun Haicheng still felt a lingering fear.
After all, Qin Tuo had saved his life—a debt that could never be truly repaid.
That was why Kong Lianqing had personally brought Sun Haicheng to express his thanks, hoping to further strengthen his relationship with Qin Tuo.
Qin Tuo remained expressionless, merely giving a slight nod.
He hadn't expected Kong Lianqing to call him out just for this.
Seeing Qin Tuo remain silent, Kong Lianqing spoke again.
"Oh, and Mr. Qin, you can rest assured about one thing. Patriarch Liu is still in seclusion and shouldn't be causing you any trouble in the near future."
But to his surprise, Qin Tuo still showed no reaction.
Just as Kong Lianqing was feeling surprised, Qin Tuo couldn't help but ask,
"Did you call me out here just for this?"
Kong Lianqing's expression grew awkward. He hadn't expected Qin Tuo to completely disregard his words.
He forced a smile and explained earnestly,
"Mr. Qin, didn't the Liu Family announce they were coming for you? I'll help keep an eye on them from now on and won't let them make a move against you without consequence."
Kong Lianqing had already thought it through. Although the Liu Family was powerful, Qin Tuo's future potential was boundless.
Therefore, Kong Lianqing had silently decided that he would lead the Security Pavilion in winning over Qin Tuo. At the very least, he absolutely could not afford to offend him.
He never expected, however, that Qin Tuo would reply with complete indifference,
"Rest assured, I'm not afraid of the Liu Family. If they want to come for revenge, I'll be waiting. They just need to be prepared for their own annihilation!"
These incredibly domineering words echoed through the room, leaving both Kong Lianqing and Sun Haicheng utterly stunned.
The two of them exchanged a look, their eyes filled with utter shock.
Clearly, they both felt that while Qin Tuo was powerful, his words were a bit of an overstatement.
