Chapter 1218: Ch 1218: Return

After using the teleportation crystal, the whole team appeared in the middle of a large and empty room. This was one of the areas that was used to dismantle large sized beasts or monsters.

The Guild had prepared this place for Shin and his team to use as their teleportation destination. Not just that but there were people present to keep an eye on this place all the time.

That was why, as soon everyone returned, the door of this room was pushed open and two ladies came in.

One among them was dressed in the standard receptionist outfit of this guild which was a clear indication about who she was.

As for the other lady, she was quite young, most probably the same age as Shin and his childhood friends. She was wearing extremely high quality clothing and had an air of elegance around her.

She was none other than the people who had given Shin and his team the task of retrieving the mirror from the treasure vault. She was also the only daughter of the city lord of this place. Her name was Kaori.

After seeing that Shin and his group had returned, at first Kaori looked delighted but after seeing a fainted Tatsumi, her face showed a shocked expression and she was became very worried and frantic.

She immediately came to Raphaela and asked her about Tatsumi’s condition. She managed to relax a little only after learning that Tatsumi’s life was not in any danger at least.

Before Shin and his teammates had left for the treasure vault, both of these ladies had spent some time together and considered each other as friends. That was the reason why Kaori was so distressed after seeing that Tatsumi was unconscious.

The receptionist lady named Kaya was also extremely worried. She was the first person whom this team had approached after entering the guild and that was the only reason why she was assigned as this teams private receptionist which was a promotion for her.

That was not all. When she was being harrassed by some frustrated and drunk adventurers, this team had came to her rescue.

That was why she was extremely grateful to them and did not want anything bad to happen. But now it looked like not everything had went perfectly.

So as the two newcomers were starting to panic, Raphaela stepped up and took some time to calm them down quickly. Then she sent Kaya to call for the guild master here and also a guild scribe to record everything that they had to say.

Raphaela had some work for Kaori too. She was asked to go to a nearby apothecary and buy a few potions. Raphaela tried to give her some money for the purchase but Kaori rejected it and went out in a hurry.

After they left and Raphaela was about to go back to her treatment of Tatsumi even if it was not very effective, Elena suddenly appeared in the room. And as soon as all the people present in the room saw her, their eyes widened surprise and immediately all of them relaxed completely.

Even though they were able to escape the trouble, all of them were feeling very tense. They had bravely faced off against a rank 10 powerhouse without taking a single step back. But this had not been easy.

And Tatsumi was something like a core of this party. Even though Raphaela was doing her best to lessen her burden and Tatsumi herself thought that the older lady was doing a better job than her, that was actually not completely true. Even without her trying, her kindness and earnest attitude had won over everyone’s heart.

So seeing her being in this condition, all the party members including Shin blamed themselves. If they were stronger, than Tatsumi would never need to go this far. This was what everyone was thinking about.

And that was why all of them were feeling a heavy burden in their heart. But then, as soon as they saw Elena, suddenly their burden became lighter. In the heart of everyone present here, Elena was something like an omnipotent being. With her here, everything would be all right.

After seeing the relieved expression on everyone’s faces, Elena smiled gently and used a simple spell to help Tatsumi out first. She did not make her to wake up and only made sure that there was no need for Raphaela to give her any more treatment.

As for why Elena did not make Tatsumi to wake up, it was because of her personality. She had a very strong sense of responsibility and she was also something like a workaholic. So this was actually a good opportunity to force her to have a good rest.

And in her absence, the other members needed to make the report that had been solely Tatsumi’s responsibility so far. And this was a good learning opportunity for everyone.

After helping Tatsumi out, next Elena hugged everyone and gave them a lot of head pats as an early reward. Even a grown ass lady like Raphaela got this treatment and happily accepted it with beet red cheeks and she also buried her face in Elena’s bountiful chest.

And as this was happening, Kaya returned back with the guild master and the scribe. After this, Shin started to tell them about what had happened.

And as soon as the guild master heard about the rank 10 lich, he immediately stood up with a serious expression on his face. This was a grave danger as this treasure vault was not located too far away from this city. So this matter needed to be taken care of as quickly as possible.

But as soon as he stood up with urgency, he suddenly sat down once again. No one present could understand how this had happened but they knew that the person responsible for doing this was Elena.

After this, she told everyone that the lich had been taken care of and there was no need to worry. And hearing this even though the guild Master had a dumbfounded expression on his face, every from Shin’s party had an understanding expression.

At first, Shin and his friends used to believe that Elena probably was a rank 7 or rank 8 powerhouse and they had a desire to reach the same level as her.

But after all these years, that desire was completely gone. They were not little kids anymore. So now if someone told them that their beloved elder sister Elena was stronger than the Supreme Magus, they would just nod their heads.

Just like that, the meeting came to an end. Then Elena decided to bring everyone to a special area. And there, she was also going to give them the reward that she had promised.
