Chapter 1161: Ch 1161: Fierce Battle

Obviously the road near the city was safe. There were no bandits or monsters brave enough to attack a large Caravan so close to the city. They would be wiped out in second if something like that ever happened.

As he was not alert at all, the arrow easily pierced the head of the unlucky adventurer and he ended up dying immediately. This sudden death, made some of the adventurers to freeze up as they were unsure of what was happening and what they should do.

But not all the adventurers reacted this way. There were actually quite a few veteran adventurers who immediately got ready for a battle. Under Tatsumi’s lead, Shin and his other friends were the same.

Then, from the nearby forest, an avalanche of bandits started to come toward the caravan. Their numbers was easily over 200 or 300 if not more.

This was definitely a troublesome situation. With the limited number of Adventurers here, taking care of so many bandits was nearly impossible.

And even though this location was extremely close to the city, with this kind of number, expecting any help was foolish. There were less than 30 guards present near the city gates. So they definitely would not be much help against so many bandits.

As for the army stationed in the city, if they made a move, all of these bandits would definitely die. But for the army to move, a lot of paperworks needed to be done. That was why, before the army could reach this place after taking care of everything, the caravan would definitely be already destroyed.

But obviously, even In a situation like this, there was no way Shin and his friends were going to just give up. So all five of them got Ready for a tough battle ahead.

After this great success of the magi, even though the adventurers had gained some moral, they were still at a great disadvantage. But again, as the bandits finally reached the carriages of the caravan, they were unable to dominate as much as they were hoping for.

And the reason for this were three individual. One of them was Ren who was using the bull and also a new star soul which was a lion. With these two providing him with immense power, Shin was able to show strength that was close to a rank 4 powerhouse.

And then the second person was a large man with an axe. He was an genuine rank four individual with a legend grade weapon.

His power system was that of a "Weapon Master". So he was able to utilise his legend grade weapon perfectly and the power he was able to display was off the charts. Even a rank 5 would not be able to dominate him in battle.

And then finally, the last person to stand out was none other than Shuzu. She was not large and and eye catching as the weapon master or she was also not fancy and cool like the starlight covered Shin. But still, there was no one who was able to ignore her presence in the battlefield.

That was because with her incredible speed, wherever Shuzu was going, she was creating a river of blood. The bandits were only able to see her afterimage and she was cutting them up as if they were just weeds.

Nakamura and Kashimo were also performing decently now that they were rank 2 individuals but they were not attracting any special attention which was actually a good thing.

As for the other adventurers, they were also not doing too bad. With so many bandits, three of four of them had already died. But the remaining ones were struggle as much as they could in order to survive.

Seeing this while situation, Tatsumi relaxed her mind. While she stayed near the carriage protecting Haruna and supporting her friends with her long distance magic, she also started to help some of the other adventurers out as long as this was not harming her teammates.

Just like that, in a very short amount of time, Tatsumi had taken the role of the overall leader of this battlefield. 80 percent of the still alive adventurers were moving following her command.

And with how amazing of a job she was doing as a battlefield commander, the adventurers were still able to fight and keep the casualities to a minimum. And all the other merchant’s were finally feeling some hope that they might be able to hold on until the arrival of army from the city.

All of them had gathered in the carriage where Haruna was and the carriage that Tatsumi was protecting. That was actually the safest place in the whole battlefield.

But even in this situation, there were a few individuals who were extremely unhappy with the ability that Tatsumi was displaying. And they were the humiliated adventurers from before.

So in this dangerous situation, driven by the rage and jealousy in their hearts, they ended up making a mistake that was extremely terrible.
