"No this can’t be right." Zach said to him.

He watched as he le tout a. sigh form his lips as he ran a hand through his hair. "I thought so to but I think that it is true. She is gone." Bruce said to him.

Zach looked towards him with anger clear in his eyes as they turned a blazing shade of red.

"no as I told you before she isn’t dead. She can’t be dead, she has to be alive." He said to him harshly,.

Bruce new that it was hard for him to believe and he knew that it was best for him not to say anything and rather remain quiet.

"Just think about it I know that you are angry right now but she had been gone for a long time and I don’t think that she is coming back plus that hair is most likely hers. Just consider it. They wouldn’t keep her for this long. They would have killed her by now." Bruce said to him.

Zach ran a frustrated hand through his hair as he looked towards him with his eyes blazing bright red.

"No this has to be some twisted plan for revenge,. They wouldn’t do this to me. this is them going too far. They are keeping her somewhere thinking that sending this to me will cause me to crumple and would cause me to falter in my plans." Zach said to him. In an adamant tone.

However he wasn’t sure what to say to that. "Zach this has nothing to do with them and you have to try to calm down. You know that this is what they want and you don’t want to feed into their agenda any further." Bruce said to him.

He watched as Zach ran a hand over his face. "Why can’t you seem to understand. Don’t act as though this is something wild that I simply made up. You and I both know that this is true. That this is the work of my enemies that are trying to put this all against me. They want my judgement to falter so that I can make more rash decisions and I end up losing. They want the empire as well as this family to fall." Zach said to him as he let out a loud chuckle before shaking his head at the end.

"I don’t think that is what is happening and maybe if you were to calm down for as moment and think it through you would be able to see things through my eyes and see where I am coming from." Bruce said to him as he tried to explain the situation to him but as usual Zach wasn’t having any of it.

"It doesn’t matter. This action of theirs doesn’t mean anything and it isn’t going to change anything as we are going to go through with our plans as before. Brittany is fine and by the time that we defeat our enemies you will see that as well and you will realize that I was right all along and then you will know that was the one who told you so." Zach said to him.

Bruce knew that it was better for him to leave him be. However he knew that he wasn’t going to allow the matter to slide in the way that Zach had.

His gut told him that Brittany was in fact gone and that it was up to them to finally lay her to rest.

He knew that the only way that Zach would come to terms with everything was if he were to see her body for himself.

It had been a few days since Zach. Had received the letter and he still continued to ensure himself that there was nothing wrong and that she was fine.

However he couldn’t get the envelope and its contents out of his head. He felt as though he was slowly losing his mind and he didn’t know what to do about it.

He couldn’t help but feel frustrated by the fact that he felt that he was tied up in the situation.

He was walking through the halls when he was stopped by Bruce. He couldn’t help but curse intently knowing that he was bound to bring up Brittany yet again. It was enough that he had to think about her on his own but Bruce was also constantly there to remind him of her.

"What is it now? I already told you that it doesn’t matter what evidence you bring I will not be believing you." He said to him in a hissing tone.

But he could see the unspoken sadness that was etched onto Bruce’s features and there was something that wasn’t quite right.

He decided that he would reserve his comment for now and he would simply follow Bruce and allow him to take him to whatever it was.

"You need to remain calm and allow me to show you this and don’t over react about to." Bruce said to him.

"What is going on." Zach said to him in annoyance but he wasn’t able to question any further as they came to a stop in front of the door. Bruce slowly pulled the door open and Zach didn’t see anything in the room at first.

However when he took note of the body that was laying cold on the floor he felt his body shudder as his knees became weak.

He was taken aback when he came face to face with the sight of Brittany’s cold body that lay naked on the floor.

Her felt as though he was living in a dream and he found himself unable to come up with the words to say.

all this time the only thing that had stopped him from coming undone entirely was the knowledge that she wasn’t dead until he found a body.

And yet here she was lying cold and dead before him.

"How?" was the only word that managed to come out of his mouth.

Bruce stood behind him as he took in the pained expression that was on Zach’s facer and he could tell just how much the sight hurt him. He didn’t want to have to do this to him but he knew that Zach had to know that this was what had happened.

"it was Ronaldo." Bruce managed to say.

Zach balled his hands up into a fist as he heard the sound of the cowards name. he knew that he should have finished him off when he had the chance but he knew that he couldn’t risk it.

The man had it out for him evert since he had punched and humiliated him and he had wanted to take Brittany by any means possible.

"What did he do to her." He managed to say and he felt the anger provide him with a new sense of courage.

"He kidnaped her and he raped her multiple times. There are several bruises all over her body. She couldn’t live with the fact that she was raped by him especially since you had told her that she had to be strong. She didn’t want to disappoint you and she felt that death would have been better for her than living in this world and knowing that everyone looked towards her like she was weak. She had been through far too much horror at his hands that she couldn’t take it anymore and she decided that it was best for her to end it all so that she wouldn’t have to experience anymore pain. He left her with no choice but to do that." Bruce said to him as he pulled out the letter that had been found near her body.

Zach listened to his every word as he took a moment to try and digest the information. He felt enraged and he didn’t know how to respond to the situation.

He should have known from the beginning that when Ronaldo had said that he was going to back down that he wasn’t going to go through with it. Her should have never listened to Marico.

On the inside Zach felt as though he was ready to explode and all he wanted to do was lash out but he knew that he couldn’t do that. he had to keep his face neutral and he couldn’t overreact on it.

"Well you can’t just leave her here you have to take the body somewhere else." Zach said to Bruce calmly.

Bruce looked towards Zach with confusion as he found himself struggling to understand why he was so calm about everything.

He had thought that he would lash out and hit things around or vow to get vengeance but he did none of that.

"Are you okay. Bruce said as he placed a small hand on Zach’s shoulder. Zach was quick to brush it off.

He shook his head as he kept his face neutral. "I am fine why won’t I be. Like I said get someone to come and pick the body up." Zach said to them coldly.

"But what are you going to do. What is your plan." Bruce asked him curiously.

Zach turned away from the body for a moment as he looked up towards Bruce. "what do you think we are going to do. We are going to get the funeral. Organized and finish putting everything together." Zach said.

Bruce didn’t know why but there was a part of him that was annoyed by the fact that he seemed to be more concerned about the funeral than going after Ronaldo.
