Maybe there was a chance for them after all. She couldn’t forget the way that he laughed at her jokes and he continued sot listen to her intently.,

anyone else would have grown bored and would have tried to say that she was annoying him but he didn’t and he continued to listen to her words.

That was something that she found herself admiring about him greatly and she appreciated the fact that he was so attentive with her.

For once she felt as though there was hope and she could feel as though there was a slither of hope that it was all going to work out in the end.

She knew that hope was for the foolish but it wasn’t going to hurt for her to try.

She looked forward to seeing what the future would bring and she had a feeling that for once it was going to be something go d for her.

She knew that as long as she did have Zach in her life that everything would be fine and that everything would work itself out on its own.

Ronaldo had told Marico that he wasn’t going to interfere with. Zach and get his revenge however that had soon turned into a lie as he found himself struggling to get Zach out of his head.

He had never felt so disrespected before and the thought of the fact that he had gone as far as to defy him was something which continued to boil his blood. That was the reason why he found himself unable to get his mind off what has happened.

He had to get to the bottom of it but he knew that he had to do it discretely. He didn’t truly know what Zach was capable of and what he could do and so he knew that he needed to learn more about him so that he could get ahead of all of it.

He decided to go and meet with Lillard as he knew that he would be able to give him more information on Zach. He couldn’t find himself being able to comprehend the thought that Zach would actually go as far as killing him just because of the fact that he had suggested to rape his maid.

He didn’t see what the big deal was after all it wasn’t uncommon for men to trade their maids for other services that they wanted form each other.

The only person who was turning it into something much bigger than it was, was Zach. He was the one who seemed to put on this front and presented himself to others ass though he was better than everyone else but Ronaldo knew that wasn’t true and that it was only afront that he put on.

He knew that Zach was much like him and the real reason ah thee wanted to keep the girl away from him was because he wanted to keep her all to himself.

Zach was a greedy man and he had already acquired so much wealth and yet it seemed that wasn’t enough for him and he kept wanting more.

At first Ronaldo had thought to be. Admirable. But he knew that he couldn’t simply allow him to continue on like that.

He couldn’t. simply have his cake and eat it and quite frankly the reality was that he wasn’t allowed to get everything that he wanted.

As he made his way to the room he found Lillard standing in the corner. He was cautious at first. But he approached him slowly as he tapped his shoulder.

He watched as Lillard turned around to look at him and he seemed to be frazzled at first before letting out a sigh and eh relaxed his shoulders slightly.

"You called for me so how about you tell me what this meeting is about." Lillard said to him as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Why so glum. I mean you don’t have to come on with that grumpy attitude. How about you try to smile and be more cheerful." He said to him in a cheerful tone.

He watched as he let out a. sigh form his lips as he slouched his shoulders at him.

"You know that the city is currently in chaos. With the princess gone the rest of the royals are worried about what that means and they are keeping their eyes put on everyone especially me. So I don’t want to. To waste any further of my time how about you tell me what is going on." Lillard said to him in a hissing tone.

He watched as he let out. A sigh form his lips as he shrugged his shoulders at him in response.

"I wanted to ask you about Zach." He said to him and he watched as he stiffened before shaking his head.

"Not you too." He said to him in a mutter under his breath.

Ronaldo furrowed his brows at his words as he looked towards him in concern and he wondered what was going on.

"why that reaction. I didn’t think that would be the type of response I would get from you." Ronaldo said to him in an honest tone.

"well I simply didn’t think that you would be like the others and would be so fixated on Zach. It seemed as though he is the only one that anyone seemed to talk about these days." He said to him in a mutter.

This caused Ronaldo to become intrigued. He knew that Zach was a big name in the city but he didn’t think that he would have been on everyone’s nerves.

"I just want to know more about him so that I can know what I am going up against." He said to him and he watched as Lillard let out a sigh from his lips.

He watched as Lillard hummed as he looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. For a moment he couldn’t help but feel slightly self-conscious.

"Well don’t they all want to know more about him. How about you tell me something that us new." He said to him.

"I want to know if he is capable of killing a man." Ronaldo said and he watched as Lillard tensed up at his words as he gulped before looking hi m over.

"what do you mean if he is capable if killing a man. I am guessing that man that you are talking about is you. So how about you try and tell me more about what is going. On and give me less of this vague question" He said to him in an encouraging.

Ronaldo groaned before he began to explain to him what was going on.

"Well I met up with him a few days ago and I asked if he could allow me to take his maid out for a spin. He was quiet about it at first and he didn’t seem to object to the fact very much but the more that I offered him the suggestion the more that he seemed to get upset about it."

He explained to him and he watched as he hummed before nodding his head at him in understanding.

"So you messed up and ticked him off and you want to know if he is gaping to come after you like he said he would." He asked him.

"Well yes I want to know if I will have trouble taking him down." He said to him.

He watched as Lillard chuckled at him before shaking his head at him. "so this is more about you wanting him not to attack you and this is more of you trying to stay out of his line of attack and you want him not to kill you." He said to him with a quirked brow as he tilted his head to the side.

He watched as he let out a sigh from his lips but didn’t deny it. "It isn’t that I am afraid of him. But I want to know that he isn’t going to retaliate when I go after him." He said and her watched as Lillard was quiet for a moment as he placed his hand under his chin and he seemed ort think over it for a moment.

"well Zach is tough and he often knows what he is doing but he is also not one to jump into a fight. He may have tried to hit you in order for him to send you a message. But that is all. He wouldn’t do that to kill you. He has morals and a code that he livers by." He said toy him in a mutter.

"it isn’t that he wouldn’t take action and if you do go after him he won’t hesitate to put you in your spot and to show you that he means business. But you should know that just like everyone else he has someone to protect and he had reasons for not wanting to do certain things." He explained to him.

This seemed to peak Ronaldo’s interested as he quirked a brow before asking. "like who. what is he trying to protect. don’t tell me it is that girl again." He said to him in a mutter.

He watched as he shook his head at him in response before letting out a sigh from his lips as he went on to explain it to him further.
