Reincarnation Paradise Park
Chapter 1635: Be Crafty
Shinji Matou, Gilgamesh, and Cu Chulainn appeared at the same time because they are now in the same camp.
Cu Chulainn’s Master is Kirei Kotomine. Although Kirei Kotomine has not yet shown himself, he is an unignorable party in this Holy Grail War as both a Master and the overseer of this Holy Grail War.
Moreover, because Kirei Kotomine participated in the last Holy Grail War, his Heroic Spirit at that time was Gilgamesh. In the last battle, due to the Blood Gate Adventure Group’s need to implement the Artificial Holy Grail plan, the Holy Grail had to be contaminated. Only by achieving this condition could they create the Artificial Holy Grail.
Because of this, Stan once led people to clean up the Fourth Holy Grail War. They slaughtered all the Lone Contractors, allowing the plot to advance to the final battle, which in turn would lead to the successful contamination of the Holy Grail.
For this reason, Gilgamesh, originally a Heroic Spirit, gained a physical body, and he is now a human with demigod characteristics plus being a Heroic Spirit.
As for Kirei Kotomine himself, he doesn’t even know if he is dead or alive. His heart has stopped beating, yet his bodily functions remain intact.
After the start of the Fifth Holy Grail War, Kirei Kotomine summoned another Heroic Spirit, which is Lancer Cu Chulainn. As for Gilgamesh, he no longer counts as a complete Heroic Spirit. Due to Kirei Kotomine’s interesting reasons, he has continued to act alongside Kirei Kotomine.
Thus, Kirei Kotomine, Gilgamesh, and Cu Chulainn are on the same side. Cu Chulainn is controlled by Kirei Kotomine, while Gilgamesh cooperates with Kirei Kotomine without a superior-subordinate relationship. However, most of the time, Kirei Kotomine still addresses Gilgamesh as the King of Heroes because Gilgamesh has the power to kill Kirei Kotomine.
These three are undoubtedly a formidable force that cannot be ignored. As for Shinji Matou, the Third Generation of Magic, he is relatively mediocre, entirely lacking in magical talent, yet unwilling to remain ordinary.
Shinji Matou approached Kirei Kotomine, and to Kirei Kotomine, this cunning old fox, Shinji Matou is at most a small fry. Perhaps considering the complexities of this Holy Grail War, Kirei Kotomine gladly agreed to Shinji Matou’s request for cooperation and encouraged him, making him the proxy Master for Cu Chulainn and Gilgamesh.
Of course, the golden flash, Gilgamesh, doesn’t care about this proxy Master because he understands Kirei Kotomine’s intention, which is to use Shinji Matou as cannon fodder to draw the attention of others.
As for the combination of the golden flash + Cu Chulainn + Shinji Matou this time, it is because Su Xiao has trained Cu Chulainn to the point of doubting life, extracting a large amount of Heroic Spirit Energy from him, and directly stating that Cu Chulainn should go back and tell Kirei Kotomine that Su Xiao will find an opportunity to visit that patricidal brat.
Though Kirei Kotomine does not know Su Xiao, he sensed the threat from Su Xiao, and thus approached the golden flash, asking him, together with Cu Chulainn and additionally Shinji Matou, to deal with this unknown Saber, leading to the current scene.
At the initial exchange, the greatly weakened Cu Chulainn couldn’t do anything to A Mu, with even the possibility of being exhausted to death by A Mu. The golden flash took action decisively, and to his surprise, he also could not take down A Mu in a short time.
Out of the king’s pride, the golden flash clearly disdains to continue acting against the severely injured A Mu, especially since it was two against one before, which makes him very dissatisfied.
Boom, boom!
The Ice Warhammer and Blood Spear clashed, and A Mu stood in front of Rin Tohsaka. Though being beaten back continuously, he wouldn’t be defeated in a short time.
Cu Chulainn, who was battling A Mu, had an ugly expression. In his view, A Mu was a warrior worthy of respect, injured heavily during their fight, and if it weren’t for the forced command seal order, he would never have continued this battle with A Mu; he, Child of Light Cu Chulainn, was ashamed of such a fight.
“A Mu, are you alright?”
Rin Tohsaka’s condition isn’t good either; she almost got shot dead by the golden flash’s sword, nearly being killed in one hit. Facing a top-level Heroic Spirit like the golden flash, a magician appears quite powerless.
“Moo!”
A Mu roared, white mist drifting around him. As he tightened his grip, the area within a dozen meters instantly froze with ice.
Crack, crack…
The ice enveloped Cu Chulainn, and upon seeing this scene, Shinji Matou at a distance behind the iron bars cried out in alarm.
“Gilgamesh, are we just going to watch like this? Although I don’t really care about that Lancer’s life or death.”
“Shut up. Once Lancer falls, I’ll naturally put an end to this boring play. What insolence for Kirei to have me, the king, do such trivial things.”
The golden flash glanced at Shinji Matou, the meaning clear—any more noise from him and the blue-haired guy would get killed.
Shinji Matou turned his head sulkily, continuing to watch the fight, his fists clenched unconsciously. Even as a salted fish, he harbors not small ambitions. He wants to obtain the Holy Grail because by then, no one would dare look down on him, whether his grandfather or the Heroic Spirits beside him.
With a crisp sound, Cu Chulainn broke free from the ice, sweeping his long spear to first force A Mu back and then stabbing straight at A Mu’s head. A Mu appeared cumbersome, but in reality, he was a nimble Minotaur.
Only to see A Mu fully lean back his body, and as he was about to fall on his back, three ice pillars emerged from the ground behind him, supporting his reclining form.
‘A Mu, remember, when you’re not a match for a certain enemy, you need to be cunning.’
Su Xiao’s voice seemed to echo in A Mu’s ear. With his figure leaning back, he raised his arms, seemingly about to slam the ground, thereby freezing the surrounding area.
Cu Chulainn was still in a forward thrust posture, and after seeing A Mu’s action, he immediately guessed what the opponent was going to do, thus stepping aside and jumping back.
A Mu’s raised arms halted mid-air, his palms forming around an ice spear that suddenly took shape. A Mu straightened up and launched the ice spear with all his might.
With a booming sound, the ice spear burst with a sonic boom. Cu Chulainn, jumping in mid-air, spun his long spear and, with a clang, shattered the ice spear, causing a large blue dust cloud to explode.
At the moment the ice spear shattered, Cu Chulainn’s pupils contracted quickly, for this thing wasn’t solid and wasn’t meant for piercing—the dense ice energy inside was the true trump card.
Crack, crack.
Ice crystals quickly spread over Cu Chulainn’s body, at which point A Mu’s hands finally slapped down.
Thud, thud…
Five ice spikes burst from the ground, piercing through Cu Chulainn’s lower body and abdomen. These five ice spikes formed a tent-like shape, leaving Cu Chulainn no chance to escape.
An Ice Warhammer appeared in A Mu’s hands, enormous to a somewhat exaggerated degree, with just the hammer handle nearing ten meters in length.
A Mu gripped the handle with both hands, and the hammerhead, the size of a house, smashed toward Cu Chulainn.
Boom!
A great cloud of dust rose, and fragments of ice crystals flew everywhere. Rin Tohsaka, behind A Mu, shielded her face with one hand. Watching the blue energy at the center of the strike, her expression was somewhat dazed.
“So, so strong.”
Rin Tohsaka had always thought of A Mu as Su Xiao’s little sidekick, and today she finally understood what “the tough guys speak less” really means.
