Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 524: Leave Or Stay

Chapter 524: Leave Or Stay

When Carmen saw how Herald Fist and Blake timidly left the scene as well, her impression of the two swiftly dropped to ground zero.

At first, she thought the two were brave enough to stay behind, but after knowing the enemy's identity, they all scurried away like cowards.

Hence, she disdained to befriend any of them who would leave in a heartbeat when danger came around. She could never trust her back with these kinds of people.

While Carmen was frustrated and infuriated by their actions, Xu Feng, on the other hand, remained calm and relaxed.

He turned his gaze to Gentle Wind, Autumn Breeze, and Iceheart.

"If you three want to leave, I won't stop you either. It's only reasonable that you must safeguard your property first before wanting to lend a hand to others." Xu Feng commented, clearly not feeling any bad blood if they were to leave now.

Before they could respond, Brian started announcing once again.

"A minute and a half had gone by. Unrelated personnel have less than 2 minutes, so best make your decision and leave before the escape path is no more." He made sure his warning went through loud and clear.

Meanwhile, Brian's subordinate, Mint Roe, was confused by the repeated warning.

"Why can't we just siege and take them all down?" Mint Roe asked in confusion. Usually, they would have outright sieged and given their opponent zero options to react.

"It's not by my orders, but by the higher-ups." Brian coolly responded and pointed at a figure at a higher altitude. "Since the Vanguard Guild Leader wants to stream his raid, then we're also going to do the same, except we're not raiding the dungeon, but them."

Realization soon dawned upon Mint Roe. It wasn't that they had turned generous, but rather they were displaying their show of force in the Divine World.

Having stayed lowkey for a long time, the Lethal Corp was going to use the Vanguard Guild as a strong demonstration to warn that even if it was a new VRMMORPG, they were still of the Super Guild status.

"Heh, I bet the Vanguard Guild is feeling despair after witnessing our team's equipment." Mint Roe laughed cheekily.

"Hmph, what can an upstart guild be capable of?" Brian snorted coldly.

"Our finance alone could monopolize the economy of the Divine World already, but we decided to fund the team first to remain ahead and focus on leveling. Otherwise, how can this puny upstart guild gain any fame, to begin with?" He added, clearly not putting Xu Feng or his guild in his eyes.

In the grand scheme of the real world, the Vanguard Guild couldn't even cause much of a ripple.

"But they still made the Reaver Guild suffer." Mint Roe commented, finding the situation oddly suspicious.

"Of course, they suffered. The President of the GRIM Corporation attempted to train his heir, Gao Zhong and placed him in charge of the Reaver Guild matters in the Divine World."

"Heh, how disappointing was that heir! And he dares to harbor nefarious intent of our President's heiress?"

The moment Mint Roe said those words, his face turned ashen white as he quickly went to his knees. "I apologize, Mister Brian."

Brian held a fierce killing intent as he stepped on Mint Roe's head. "I'll let this off as a warning, but no one should mention the taboo. After the siege is over, you are to report to the disciplinary hall."

"Yes, Mister Brian." Mint Roe didn't even argue about the punishment one bit and gracefully accepted it.

A second later, Brian released his foot on his head, whereas the other members near them didn't even flinch one bit. It was as if they were blind and couldn't see the situation that had just occurred.

"Less than a minute left. Once the timer hits, whoever remains can be buried along with the Vanguard Guild." Brain dusted off his hands and informed the others to be ready.

While this was happening, on Xu Feng's side, Iceheart made the difficult decision to remain.

"Hah, whatever, it's just the Lethal Corp. I'm only here to repay the earlier favor, so once this is over, I don't owe you anything." Iceheart declared, her eyes glaring at Xu Feng. Despite the glaring though, her intention made it clear that she was willing to go through this danger for him.

Her actions had truly taken Xu Feng by surprise a little bit.

He had to retreat a few steps and leaned his head a bit forward. "It couldn't be that you're the masochist type or enjoy BDSM, right?"

When he finished asking that question, Iceheart readily held her Claymore Sword, seemingly ready to swing it at Xu Feng.

And this time, Carmen didn't have any intention of stepping in to safeguard Xu Feng.

After all, she couldn't believe her guild leader would utter those kinds of questions to begin with. Had Xu Feng asked her that question, then she would have killed him immediately before reviving him.

"Hey, I was just concerned." Xu Feng hurriedly raised his hands as a form of surrender to her.

The question was a bit too much, but it was necessary. At the very least, Xu Feng could confirm that she wasn't either of those types. Otherwise, he might really want to curse himself for unintentionally raising such a messy flag.

Thankfully, this farce only lasted less than 20 seconds, and Xu Feng turned his attention back to Gentle Wind and Autumn Breeze.

By now, they heard Brian's subordinate shouting they only had half a minute left to think.

Time was ticking down, so if those two still remained undecided and wanted to leave after a while, it would be too late.

Finally, Gentle Wind pursed her lips and gave an apologetic smile.

She stepped forward, cupped her fist, and said, "Sorry, but I can't afford to gamble my Silver Wind Guild to go against the Lethal Corp without proper foundation yet."

Nodding in understanding, Xu Feng gestured for her to leave with no intention of blocking her.

As Gentle Wind was about to leave, he became surprised to see Autumn Breeze remain still.

"Your Guild Leader is leaving, Autumn Breeze." Xu Feng gently reminded her.
