Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 518: Raid Over

Chapter 518: Raid Over

Having gotten over the thoughts of not receiving any dropped loot from the Boss who fell to his death, Xu Feng clasped his hands.

"Alright, then without further ado, the first large-scale raid headlined by the Vanguard Guild is officially over." He announced loudly.

A second later, the players erupted into cheers. They all shouted and screamed chaotically, with a few hugging their companions or comrades to celebrate.

Even the people who were rivals couldn't help themselves but made a handshake, hug, or fist bump to celebrate. Nothing was more rewarding than realizing your hard work had finally paid off.

They have reached the finale of a raid!

The only ones who were left out were those who attempted to sabotage and ended up being caught altogether.

To ensure the pain and agony of their doings, Xu Feng purposely unlifted the ban and allowed Emberwolf to regret his action entirely.

"This Soulstrider was indeed a traitor!" Emberwolf in his ghost-like form, had his eyes turning bloodshot at the sight of Soulstrider cheering with his guild and Blake from the Solaris Guild.

"I was backstabbed by this two-faced bastard…" Emberwolf gnashed his teeth in frustration. The glory was supposed to be his to share if it weren't for the Adventure Team Leader's stupidity in agreeing to work with the Reaver Guild.

As he realized everyone was scheming against him, anger and regret filled his mind.

"Are you sure that Soulstrider has betrayed us?" Emberwolf's subordinate, Hunter Rick asked in a disbelief tone.

"Shut up!" Emberwolf instantly roared in fury. "You're a backstabbing traitor as well. Watch how I punish you later on."

He then pointed at Soulstrider and Blake being overly friendly. "Don't you see their actions? Are you that blind to not know the correlation between the two?"

Without a doubt, the two were definitely in a cahoot from the start!

What bullshit about being eyed intensely by Blake and unable to slip away?

Just look at how happy they are currently chatting and fist-bumping!

Anyone who had witnessed such a scene would have believed they were buddies!

The realization also began to dawn upon Emberwolf at how he was caught by Xu Feng, who seemed to have known he was going to sabotage by sneaking into the boss room.

'No wonder that Guild Leader Xu Feng was just casually waiting there.' Emberwolf felt his head aching with all these thought processes surfacing one after another in his brain.

Everything had been a conspiracy and trap from the start. The Soulstrider of the Astral Guild was a spy all along for the Vanguard Guild.

In other words, whatever the Reaver Guild was planning, Xu Feng had long known everything.

How frightening was that kind of enlightenment to Emberwolf?

Having been humiliated and forced to beg like a sobbing dog, Emberwolf started to laugh in a manic manner. He was worse than a lowly pawn in this chess game.

Both Xu Feng and the Reaver Guild were now his biggest enemies, and Emberwolf vowed to take this revenge one day.

Meanwhile, hovering right behind him, Hunter Rick realized it might be time to jump ship and leave the Sky Hunters Adventure Team overall.

'This is too much plotting and scheming for me to handle.' Hunter Rick thought to himself. Previously, he had attempted to scheme ahead to rise, but it ended up in a fierce backlash.

With that realization, he knew his so-called scheming was nothing in the face of a behemoth. If that was the case, then he might as well start afresh in another place and slowly rise up with hard work instead.

Shortly after each of them had their own set of thoughts, they noticed their bodies were starting to become opaque, no longer transparent like their ghost-form-like state.

"What's going on?" Alarmed, Emberwolf glanced at his palm which was slowly becoming visible. "Is this another scheme of Guild Leader Lin Feng?"

"I-I think we're being resurrected…" Hunter Rick stutteringly said.

And before they noticed, they realized they were surrounded at the center, with numerous others glancing at them.

"Oh, so these people are the saboteurs!"

"As expected of the Sky Hunters Adventure Team. They're living their name well, except they weren't hunters at all."

"Indeed, how could a prey call themselves a hunter?"

Amidst their dazedness, Xu Feng slowly stepped forward and gazed at Emberwolf.

"The raid is over, so you will naturally be resurrected. But your deeds and conduct have been exposed for everyone to know already. For an Adventure Team to backstab and attempt to sabotage a raid. I wonder if you will ever get players who wish to team up with you in the future." He stated, ensuring their demise would be everlasting.

Choose the wrong side, and you're guaranteed to lose everything!

Unlike the Eternal Guild, whose wealth and resources still had some use for Xu Feng, the Sky Hunters Adventure Team was just a useless pawn.

Many who despised guilds had created their own adventure team with laidback rules, but how many were they that could actually compete with actual guilds?

Not many!

"Raid Leader, what should we do about the revived saboteurs?" Lightning Blade, who believed it was finally his time to shine and earn some favorable points, raised the question.

His buddy, Skyfire Msit quickly chimed in as well. "These saboteurs wanted to ruin our raid, so we might as well kill them back to level 0."

Unfortunately, their suggestion earned Xu Feng's irk, which resulted in Carmen promptly using her Elementalists and blasting the two far away.

"Ahem, the saboteurs' plan had already been foiled by the Raid Leader, and he does not want to get his hands dirtied any further." Carmen then clarified the Vanguard Guild's stance on this matter.

However, she made sure to emphasize one point. "The Vanguard Guild won't harm them now that the raid is over, but Emberwolf does have Rare equipment on him."

As Carmen left it like that, she and Xu Feng soon turned away to the portal that had become available for the players. The portal was an exit transmission one to send them outside the entrance of the dungeon.
