Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 506: Damage Output

Chapter 506: Damage Output

While the sacrifice from Lanceroy, Steele, and Duron was commendable, Xu Feng didn't have the time to let others be impressed further.

And no, it wasn't that he was jealous, but the Sentinel wouldn't be letting them take a moment of peace to honor them.

"Alright, don't let their sacrifices be wasted. The Sentinel has repeatedly wasted its ultimate moves on them, so DPS, start blasting him!" Xu Feng shouted and began casting his buff to his group of DPS.

"The remaining Tanks should start shielding the Clerics to let them revive the three fallen Tanks. Ensure that they won't feel abandoned!" He added, ensuring their morale would be raised to the top.

Although he hadn't anticipated the heroism from Lanceroy, Steele, and Duron, he wouldn't allow their effort to be disappointed.

Initially, he wanted to reprimand them and use them more as scapegoats, but he changed his mind with their relentless and firm action.

Since they gave him a good result, then he wouldn't mistreat them either.

And to ensure his raid members would put in more than 100% of their effort in this boss battle, Xu Feng publicly announced.

"The three fallen Tanks had displayed courage and camaraderie. It has affected me dearly, so in response, these three are rewarded with 300 Raid Points!"

Raid Points— still somewhat an unfamiliar term for most players.

Gradually, however, with the information spread due to Xu Feng's manipulation, the players soon realized it was a good system for future raids to maintain harmony and minimize arguments regarding the distribution of loot.

Although Raid Points could be granted by the Raid Leader, there were set achievements that players could meet to automatically gain them.

Not to mention, the Raid Points list was constantly available in their system interface to see who obtained the most.

Currently, the one at the top of the list was without much surprise, Carmen with a whopping 1,500 Raid Points. Despite the overwhelming numbers, no one had accused Xu Feng of being biased, given Carmen's display of strength was obvious to everyone.

As for second place, it was Gentle Wind with 800 Raid Points, followed by Blake, RavenKnight, etc.

Blake had 650 Raid Points and RavenKnight had 580 Raid Points. As the list goes down, most barely even reach the 200 mark. Thus, the reward of 300 Raid Points to the three Tanks respectively was extremely generous.

Of course, if Xu Feng had included himself in the list, then he would have beaten everyone by a large mile.

Not even Carmen's 1,500 Raid Points would be something when compared to his contribution.

However, because he didn't do so, and the allure of earning a whopping 300 Raid Points in one action, the rest seemed extremely motivated.

This was especially true for those acting leaders, who clearly understood what the Raid Points stand for.

After all, the Raid Points only became important if the rewards were great, and Xu Feng was not one to be stingy regarding it.

"Steelshot, SilentWhisper, and the rest. Start increasing your damage output. Our Silver Wind Guild cannot lose out to the Tyrant Fist Guild." Gentle Wind wielded her staff and declared loudly to her subordinates.

"Listen up, folks from the Solaris Guild. Have the audience witness our strength!" Blake also chimed in and raised morale within his guild.

"Frost Rogue, I better not see your damage being overtaken by another Gunner." He added, his gaze subtly glancing at Steelshot.

"Rest assured, Captain Blake!" Frost Rogue patted his chest lightly before holding his gun and aiming at the Golem Sentinel.

Nodding in approval, Blake refused to lose out in terms of damage output against others. Not only was he doing this for the Raid Points, but it was also a demonstration of power regarding which guilds or teams were the better ones.

Damage output was one of the greatest factors to determine the strength of a guild or a team. The higher they were, the better and respected they would be.

Thus, without needing Xu Feng to do his own morale speech, the others were more than motivated to achieve great results.

"Raid Leader, should I also start blasting the boss?" Carmen knitted her brows and asked softly, unsure of why she was told to hold her fire.

As she scrutinized her surroundings, she already noticed many DPS classes using their strongest spells and attacks from the get-go.

Even though her damage output was significantly higher than theirs, it would be hard for her to catch up in the damage count if she waited too long.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng shook his head and instead pointed at the two remaining Elite Enemies types. "You can focus your attack on those first. Leave the boss alone and don't even bother attacking it."

Confused, Carmen scratched her head, unsure of his intention.

"Do I also attack the Elite Enemies only?" Veronica suddenly raised her question. She was on the verge of launching her spell but heard Xu Feng's command toward Carmen. Hence, she halted herself from launching and asked for confirmation.

"No, there's no need for you to do that. Your damage output isn't high enough to reach the top 10, so you're fine." Contrary to her expectations, Xu Feng shook his head and permitted her to attack the boss.

Though the cause of it was because her damage was somewhat negligible when compared to the rest.

Due to his blunt remark though, it garnered an unfriendly gaze from Carmen, who was clearly not appreciating it.

"You couldn't have worded it better?" Carmen asked in an unamused tone. She was doing her best to poach her friend to join the guild, but Xu Feng seemed to be trying to frighten her friend away.

Did he want people to join the guild at all?

"Ahem, what I meant is that you're still a newcomer, so your damage naturally can't outdo most of the others who had joined since day one." Xu Feng cleared his throat and attempted to clarify his meaning.

However, it was better to not clarify at all, given the meaning was more or less the same.

"Forget it…" Carmen rolled her eyes, knowing that it would be immensely difficult to earn actual praise from Xu Feng.
