Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1365: Aetheria Empire Part 12

Chapter 1365: Aetheria Empire Part 12

While Cedric was certain that Xu Feng didn’t make any sneaky movements, he couldn’t help feeling that this healer was no simple person.

’This healer really has a punchable face.’ If it weren’t for the fact that there had finally been traces of Origin, then he would have long killed this fragile healer.

"Since you have no idea, then there’s no more use for you." Cedric ultimately released his killing intent.

"You’re right. You have no more uses for me." Xu Feng nodded his head in agreement. The information he extracted was possibly the most he could get anyway.

Needless to say, his words confused the hell out of Cedric.

"Why are you copying my words?" Cedric didn’t find the joke funny at all.

Xu Feng smirked in response.

He stood up and stared at Cedric with a cold gaze. "By the way, I’m from the Necro Alliance. You’ve messed with the wrong person today. Our Necro Valley will hunt you and your hounds down!"

"You’re from the Necro Valley?"

"No, I’m not from there."

As if showing he had messed up, Xu Feng hurriedly redirected the attention.

"I mean, I’m from Haven Wind Town. If you have the guts, come and get me there!"

"Do I look like a fool to you?" Cedric roared in fury. First, it was Necro Valley, and now it was Haven Wind Town?

He would be damned if he believed the latter over the former.

That arrogant and cocky tone when he said Necro Valley versus the timid and nervous tone when he said Haven Wind Town was beyond obvious!

"You don’t look like a fool to me." Xu Feng said with a straight face.

But after a quick pause, he continued his monologue.

"Your face is the embodiment of a fool. So it’s not that you look like a fool, but you are a fool!"

Almost immediately, the nearby hounds all turned agitated.

As a Tier 4 Summoner and someone with a special background, this was Cedric’s first time being insulted by a measly Tier 2 healer.

"You have courage, puny healer!" Cedric unleashed his fury.

"Courage? Oh no, I don’t have those." Xu Feng shook his head and quickly denied the accusation. "If I had courage, then I wouldn’t have conversed with you for so long."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, a cowardly person like you is someone I can relate to. Otherwise, I would have been scared to death."

"..."

In the blink of an eye, Cedric’s fury soared to a new height. Being insulted and degraded by a mere healer was something he would never forgive.

’Necro Valley and Necro Alliance, huh? I want to see how long you will survive.’ Cedric had already sentenced these two affiliations to death. As long as he was present, these two terminologies shall cease to exist in the Divine World.

"Wait a second!" Just when Cedric was about to bombard Xu Feng, the latter raised his hand.

"I’ve got a magic trick to show you!" Xu Feng said urgently.

"Magic trick? What’s that? A last-ditch effort spell of yours?" Cedric taunted, clearly looking down on Xu Feng. Nevertheless, he still kept his defenses up because he was wary of the Origin power.

While Cedric acted cautiously and was somewhat curious about the Origin power, Xu Feng raised his right hand.

"This magic trick is called. Now you see me, now you don’t!"

And with the snap of a finger, Xu Feng’s silhouette vanished from the scene.

"WHAT THE??!"

Instantly, the hound controlled by Cedric reacted in utter shock and bewilderment.

He hurriedly rushed to the area from which Xu Feng vanished and even expanded the surroundings to check for his whereabouts.

"Impossible, I have already locked down all movement utilities in the area," Cedric murmured in disbelief.

The reason why he was so confident in containing Xu Feng was that he had long set up a trapped formation that prevented teleportation or other movement utilities.

Yet that so-called safety premeasurement seemed to have become ineffective.

"Is this the Origin power, capable of bypassing my Tier 4 formation?" From afar, Cedric’s eyes narrowed. His body trembled in excitement when he realized how much he underestimated the Origin power.

"Necro Valley... Necro Alliance, right? You can run for now, but you can’t hide forever. Just watch me raze that place to the ground and uncover the Origin power for myself." His eyes glinted in a menacing light.

His desire for Origin power soared to a new peak upon seeing how Xu Feng had cleanly escaped under his watchful eyes.

While Cedric was determined to obtain this power for himself, back in the real world, a gaming capsule opened.

Contained inside the gaming capsule was a man drenched in complete sweat.

"Phew, that Tier 4 Summoner Cedric is really a difficult pest." Xu Feng panted heavily. His face was slightly pale, and his stamina was on the lower end.

"Feng, are you alright?"

As Xu Feng struggled to leave the gaming capsule, Carmen opened the door and rushed inside in a hurry. Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw his fragile and weakened appearance. Without hesitation, she hurriedly rushed to his aid, ignoring the sweat and how it would dirty her.

"What happened to you?" She asked in a mixture of concern and scolding tone.

Never once had she seen him in such a state before!

The last time it happened was probably from the home invasion incident, which she wasn’t even present at.

She hurriedly retrieved a napkin and wiped some of his sweat.

"Nothing much. I just stalled the idiot long enough for the combat mode to be gone and logged out." Xu Feng chuckled heartily.

What magic trick was there?

All he did was patiently wait for combat mode to be removed and log out immediately. There would be no penalty for doing so.

Only a genius like him could have thought about logging out in the middle of such tension!

"Wow, I’m speechless." Carmen smiled awkwardly when she learned how he managed to escape unscathed.
