Reincarnation Games: Yukino's Mother Is Too Forward
Chapter 643 The Good Boss Makoto
Watching his men fall one by one into pools of blood, Grimmjow's eyes nearly burst with flames.
He let out a roar, Reiatsu frantically gathering in his wide-open maw… Cero.
A dark blue energy ball shot from deep within his throat, trailing a brilliant tail of light as it hurtled toward the Four Gay Bros.
This Cero was powerful enough to level a small hill, his full-strength attack born of rage.
But the Rabbit Devil was no pushover either.
He crossed his arms in front of him, first using his Hierro to withstand the Cero's impact, then secretly layering Armament Haki over his skin as a second line of defense.
Under this dual defense, the Cero, which could have shattered mountains, was completely blocked, leaving only a patch of scorch marks on the Rabbit Devil's arms.
The Rabbit Devil shook his burned, torn arms, a hint of surprise flickering in his eyes. He grinned at Grimmjow. "You've got some skill."
Seeing that Grimmjow's Cero had actually managed to push back the Rabbit Devil, Beam, who had been casually strolling behind Makoto like he was out for a walk, narrowed his eyes behind his shark mask.
In all these years, this was the first time he'd seen an Adjuchas force the battle-hungry Four Gay Bros onto the back foot.
This level of strength was truly exceptional among Adjuchas.
"As expected of a Hollow capable of evolving into a Vasto Lorde in the future."
Makoto gave a very fair assessment.
The moment he saw the Adjuchas in the form of a white leopard, he had already guessed its identity.
He remembered that when Ichigo's group stormed Hueco Mundo, Grimmjow was still at the top of the Adjuchas level.
But by the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, this leopard had already stepped into the Vasto Lorde level.
The fact that he could evolve through his own power was proof of his immense potential.
Hearing Makoto's words, the Four Gay Bros grew even more excited.
Their eyes gleamed green, their tongues unconsciously licking their lips.
They hadn't expected this leopard to have such potential. Eating him would surely provide a lot of nourishment too.
"Sorry about this, leopard boy~ Just quietly become our stepping stone to evolution!"
The Four Gay Bros let out excited roars, pouncing from four directions simultaneously, launching a coordinated assault on Grimmjow.
Claws and fangs wove a dense, inescapable web of death under the moonlight.
"Don't be ridiculous!" Grimmjow roared, charging forward without retreating.
The future Sexta Espada swung his claws, meeting the four top-tier Adjuchas head-on.
Each swing carried the resolve of mutual destruction.
Even as deep, bone-visible wounds were torn across his body, even as blood stained his white fur, he didn't step back an inch.
"Not bad talent, but his brains don't seem to be working too well."
Psykos stood at a distance with her arms crossed, pushing up her white-framed glasses.
She thought this leopard Hollow's intelligence was seriously flawed.
At this point, hadn't he realized that every single opponent was at least as strong as he was?
Under these circumstances, he was still fighting four against one.
Makoto just smiled without commenting.
Grimmjow had always been like this in the original work... arrogant, battle-hungry, and disdainful of underhanded tactics.
It was precisely this almost obsessive pride that made him quite popular among the Espada.
Although Makoto didn't exactly dislike Grimmjow, compared to the Four Gay Bros, who had served him for years and accompanied him through several worlds, Grimmjow's life or death was of no consequence.
After a chaotic battle, Grimmjow finally fell.
His white fur had no patch of skin intact. The once proudly raised leopard head now hung limply on the white sand.
The Four Gay Bros surrounded him and devoured him completely.
The sounds of bones being crushed and flesh being torn echoed over the empty desert for a long time.
After devouring him, the Four Gay Bros's Reiatsu once again surged to new heights.
Their bodies radiated a suffocating pressure.
However, there was no qualitative leap to a new level.
"Even after eating so much, they still haven't evolved?"
Yu commented impatiently.
Over the years, they had hunted and killed countless Adjuchas in this desert. He could name at least a few dozen, but the Four Gay Bros were still missing that final push.
"Shut up!"
The Teddy Devil shot back in annoyance.
He was the most frustrated of all, 'Damn it, how much did they have to eat to evolve into Vasto Lorde?'
Just then, the Rabbit Devil's long ears suddenly twitched.
The next instant, his form vanished from the spot... Sonído.
In less than ten seconds, he reappeared before the group, holding a high-level Gillian that looked like a wild boar.
He threw it onto the sand with a thud.
The Rabbit Devil dusted off his paws and reported to Makoto, "Boss, this guy was eavesdropping on our conversation."
"N-no! I-I was just passing by!"
The boar Hollow was terrified out of its wits, its four short legs scrambling wildly on the sand, its voice screeching as if it had been strangled.
His name was D'sel Lindercroft. He was a high-level Gillian that had only recently gained intelligence.
After hearing about Makoto's group's deeds in Hueco Mundo, he was so scared he nearly regressed back to a regular Hollow.
'Was I going to be killed too?'
So he racked his brain for a way to survive: find a powerful enough patron to latch onto.
He had heard that the local overlord Grimmjow was decent to his subordinates, so he had scurried over, hoping to join his team.
But the moment he arrived, he witnessed the live broadcast of Grimmjow and his entire group being wiped out by Makoto's men.
And then the Rabbit Devil caught him.
'Damn it, this patron wasn't strong enough either!'
D'sel cursed despairingly in his mind.
And he had seen it clearly... from start to finish, only the Adjuchas had made a move. The Vasto Lorde in the back had just watched the whole time.
That meant for this group, wiping out Grimmjow's crew didn't require even a fraction of their full power.
How was he supposed to latch onto a powerhouse like that?
"Ah... I was just getting annoyed. You'll make a good snack."
The Teddy Devil muttered as he walked over, grabbed the boar Hollow, which wasn't much smaller than himself, by the neck like a chick, and lifted him off the ground, ready to bite his head off.
"Wait! Please wait!"
D'sel struggled desperately, his four short legs flailing in the air, shrieking, "You ate Grimmjow and his group and still didn't evolve! Eating a Gillian like me won't do anything either!!"
But the Teddy Devil just sneered, his teeth already sinking into the skin of D'sel's face, his voice muffled as he snarled, "We'll see after we eat."
Feeling the sharp pain of teeth piercing his skin, D'sel's bladder nearly gave out. Just as the Teddy Devil was about to bite down, he screamed with all his might:
"I have information! Information that can help you evolve into Vasto Lorde!"
As soon as he said this, the Teddy Devil's movements abruptly halted.
The other three members of the Four Gay Bros also stopped smirking, all turning to look at Makoto. Makoto was silent for a few seconds, then nodded.
The Teddy Devil immediately understood. He tossed D'sel heavily to the ground.
D'sel rolled twice in the sand before stopping. Ignoring the pain, he just clutched his bleeding neck and gasped for air.
After several frantic breaths, D'sel finally spoke, stammering.
He had heard something on the way here... the King of Hueco Mundo, Baraggan, was trying to recruit another Vasto Lorde, Harribel.
Baraggan had long wanted to bring Harribel under his command. The tug-of-war between them had been going on for a long time.
If they could find Baraggan's throne room, take down both Vasto Lorde while they were negotiating, and then devour them both...
At this point, D'sel's meaning was clear.
He cautiously looked up to gauge Makoto's reaction.
If devouring two Vasto Lorde couldn't trigger evolution, then the Four Gay Bros might as well just kill themselves.
Makoto's group fell silent for a moment.
D'sel's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would leap out of his throat.
He couldn't guarantee whether Makoto's group would dispose of him after using him. After all, Hollows had no moral code.
Fortunately, Makoto showed no sign of killing intent. He merely paused for a moment, then calmly asked, "Where is Las Noches?"
D'sel was stunned for a second, then immediately pointed his right front hoof to the right. "That way! Very, very easy to spot!"
"Let's go."
Makoto said crisply, taking the lead in the direction D'sel had indicated.
The group behind him followed without hesitation.
Watching their figures grow smaller and eventually disappear beyond the white dunes, D'sel finally let out a long sigh of relief and collapsed onto the sand.
