Chapter 793 - 793: A fundamentally special kind of fight (part 15)

Though the quantity of the origin was rather low considering that the glow on the blue-green malleable material in which the trident had turned, was faint, the result was apparently out of ordinary.

Because when the origin mixed with that blue-green malleable substance, the thing tripled its original size to then split into three parts, the first went straight into Karla's feathered wings, which then shone in battle mana as they "hugged" Karla just in time to block a slash from the sword what Freya's battle avatar was wielding.

"Clang!", a loud metal collision echoed through the battlefield, followed by countless "clinking" sounds as Freya's "severing" law followed the slash of the sword like usual.

However, unlike before when Karla was turned into countless bloody cubes due to Freya's severing, this time… nothing happened, well, more accurately Karla didn't suffer any wound.

"Crack!", because the solid layer of battle mana which had covered the mermaid-siren feathered wings as the things hugged their owner collapsed, though the same could be said from Freya's sword, which contrary to usual, crumbled apart after a single usage and that wasn't normal, because Freya's energy had grown stronger and so has her control over it, at this point each technique she creates can be used from two to three times before they reach their limit.

But before we get to that, the valkyrie girl now thrusted the spear her battle avatar was wielding with its other hand, at Karla who instead of retreating, extended her right hand into which the second portion of that blue-green malleable solution, had entered.

A blue-green metal bracelet had formed around Karla's wrist, and now when the mermaid-siren injected battle mana into it, the thing transformed into a blue metal spear, which upon appearing made the sea part of her battle domain raise and envelop it, so that it equaled the now ten-kilometer size of the energy condensed weapons created by Freya, given that her battle avatar had grown all the way to be eight kilometers tall at this point.

"Clang!", both spears met head on and their tips fiercely clashed, the collision lasted for a second and while the "piercing" law in Freya's spear blasted a hole through the battle mana that increased the range of Karla's spear, the latter was simply retrieved by Karla, but Freya's spear crumbled apart after that clash, which made the mermaid-siren laugh out loud.

"You are fucking dead now you annoying bitch!", the metal blue spear then melted and turned into a green metal bow which absorbed a large amount of battle mana from the hurricane part of Karla's battle domain, and turned it into a fierce green wind battle mana arrow that was shot by the mermaid-siren at the valkyrie girl.

Freya answered by reaching to the bow that was mounted on the back of her battle avatar, she drew the string of the bow and shot an arrow which clashed with Karla's one.

"Booooom!", both arrows exploded, in Karla's case this turned her fierce wind arrow into a rain of sharp wind blades which poured down upon Freya, while in Freya's case, thanks to her "propagation" law, an arrow for each of the incoming wind blades was created, so at the end both attacks cancelled each other out.

"Crack!", however, just like before, upon being used once, the bow energy condensation which Freya was using crumbled apart.

At the same time, two banners appeared in the battlefield, one behind of Freya who was coming out of the energy explosion caused by her arrows and Karla's wind battle mana blades colliding, and one behind of Aisha who was also coming out of the explosion resulting from her celestial lightning javelin which dragged away the gate's explosive magic art from earlier.

"Alliance Banners", now you get to hear the name of Freya's newest technique which is what she used earlier to change places with Aisha, as a result banners with their names appeared behind of each, respectively.

Unlike before where Freya obtained more of modifications of her original technique, this was a completely new one, as it involved absolutely no conflict between the two concepts in the banners, and as a proof of it, the activation command also had nothing to do with conflict.

"Location Reinforcement", with those words, the valkyrie girl disappeared from her previous position and Aisha appeared where she was floating earlier, so the silver haired vampire girl was now facing Karla, which made the mermaid-siren put on an expression of displease, she hated Freya for having reduced her to a mortal and putting her through some dark times, but given Freya's usually quiet self, Karla couldn't stand Aisha who had a sharp tongue and was really good at humiliating her with words, as she trembling due to anger after she heard Aisha's next words, suggested.

"Quite the good technique right, little jealous mermaid, with this we can have fun beating the two of you in turns", unfortunately before Karla could lash at Aisha, the silver-haired vampire mother gave her other things to worry about as she added.

"A promise level treasure and two promise level techniques, one boosting type battle spell and an innate passive ability", casually said Aisha.

The silver haired vampire girl was confused for a moment, but after taking a second glance at Karla who was all smiles right now, she softly snorted.

"I see, you became a "candidate" and were assigned to that same concept by that gate, so instead of getting one chance to forge something with origin, you got two", said Aisha.

Originally, it didn't make sense for Aisha, that the mermaid-siren had obtained three promise level things tailored for her, out of using the dark red trident as a material, in fact getting two would have already been a stretch, since she didn't outright become a system user but a candidate only.

And the vampire girl was right, if Karla didn't receive the extra "benefits" from that gate guy, at most she would have been able to turn the trident into a stronger promise level treasure which actually suited her, instead of a trident.

That's because the hero concept for which she would have become a candidate, would have been a low or average ranked one at most, around the same level as Adam's concept level more or less.

And while her existence was cut in half by Eve, she used to be an administrator for a decently high ranked concept, which was the one granted to Ereth, a hero who was favored to rise by the system, considering he was prepared a stage with three other users for him to use as stepping stones, though things didn't go as they were supposed to, courtesy of a pair of fierce Brightstar sisters and a valkyrie administrator girl.

Anyway, the point is that while Karla couldn't recover the part of her existence which Eve took away as it was Daimon's "reward" after defeating her former other half, she did recover her status as an administrator properly.

But her candidate concept wasn't going to match with her status as an administrator, so this wasn't a part of her plan at which Aisha took a peek through her blood reading earlier, she was indeed lucky that the gate was triggered by Aisha, which is why she became a candidate to a way higher ranked hero concept than she should have.

That being said, and as Aisha's smirk proved, she was also really "unlucky" as she had slipped up and gave Aisha a key piece of intel, which revealed quite the important thing to her.

"Even so, at most you would have normally obtained enough origin for a second strong promise level creation, which means that by innate the concept you administrated was meant to have two initial promise level things, instead of one", said Aisha which made Karla's eyes contract like needles, as she added.

"No wonder that guy managed to survive so long, "The hero of duality", his concept is a double aspect one, which means that he gets twice the rewards even when compared to other heroes with similar ranked concepts, in which case he should still have a comeback chance, and probably he has another administrator besides you after he recovered".

"On the other hand, I do wonder what his other aspect is, it should be a much more direct trash concept when compared to a hero, considering that he was required to betray his ally and then aim to kill her, to awaken it, now that's something worth mentioning to my darling~", said Aisha, as she sent this information to Eve as soon as she discovered it.

'T-This bitch, how the hell did she learn that, I'm an administrator but since I have manifested in the outside world, the protection of the system weakened on my end, even now that I had gained candidate status, I can't compare with the protection from the restrictions that Ereth who is playing by the rules of the system and has two administrators, is receiving!!!', she screamed to her insides.

But then she reached a "simple" conclusion, which was to blame this on the blood prison realm which could restrain even system users to a certain extent, and well she was half right, but she is underestimating Aisha's blood reading technique, which allowed her to surf through and decrypt memories stored in blood.

Because even if she can't obtain the intel she wants at the first try, she can keep trying to do so, the information as a whole is not forgotten, so when she has a few more hints about the subject in which she is interested, or when her powers had grown more, she will be able to make the inquiry again and break through whatever used to block her path.

Like right now, since Karla had committed the stupid mistake of "choosing" the same concept which she administrated for Ereth, and she wasn't nearly as tough of a nut to crack as him, Aisha now knew the name of the concept and some aspects of it, like that it had double rewards compared to other heroes and that it allowed him to have powers of a second nature, they should still be hero related though.

"Mmm, perhaps he was meant to get a hero of darkness concept, a corrupted hero or an anti-hero nonsense for which he would have gotten an insane power boost if a close ally died, like his parents did at his own hands…", Aisha's words were interrupted by Karla exploding in battle mana.

"Shut up already you crazy bitch, Black Mythical Wings, Storm Emblem!", shouted the mermaid-siren, that was the promise level boosting battle spell which Karla had created earlier.

It was also what she used to reinforce her wings to use them as a shield to block Freya's sword attack and endure her "severing" law, this time she didn't use the boost in the wings themselves though, as the blue-green sea and wind symbol which appeared on the green metal bow which Karla was still holding onto, namely the promise level treasure in which the trident had turned, that could change forms, from the spear which was the weapon Karla originally used when she was a mermaid, to the bow which was what Karla had trained to also use when she successfully fused the siren lineage into her, though she didn't even get to use it, because she was killed midway through the process.

"Mythical Black Storm Sea, Tempest Arrow Calamity!", shouted the mermaid-siren as she drew the string of her bow which made both her sea and hurricane battle domain fiercely react, before countless water and wind battle mana arrows descended upon Aisha.

But that was just the effect of the boosting battle spell, the attack type battle spell, resulted in a single arrow which created a twenty-kilometer wide current of battle mana to advance towards Aisha, who looked at Karla with disdain.

"I knew you weren't really the smart type, but trying to compete with a spell alchemist with multiple effect techniques, did your already low intelligence reached the negatives after becoming a hero?", said the silver haired vampire mother as she snapped her fingers.

As a result, the violet blood moon shone for the first time since Aisha's blood energy domain had appeared, all the minor stars followed right away though, making blackish blue and emerald green symbols appear on them.

"Crack!", a loud shattering sound echoed through the battlefield as the giant battle mana current was enveloped by an elegant violet light which commanded blackish blue and emerald green symbols that made it… stop, it wasn't blocked, the battle spell itself stopped moving before it crumbled apart.

"What!", and as you can expect, that of course made Karla exclaim in disbelief, but the surprises weren't over yet.

Because like Aisha said, they were "competing" in terms of multiple effect techniques, and now came the after effect of the technique she first used, which this time affected the demon paradise domain instead, making dozens of three-meter spots all over the white-grey metal land liquify as numerous tall fully armored figures emerged.

"Clang!", the dozens of fully armored metal figures then flew into the sky and their left arms transformed into large tower shields with which each one of them projected a barrier that blocked hundreds of the incoming arrows, as a result not even a single one of them could even reach Aisha's vicinity.

Speaking of Aisha, only now that her technique's effects had been activated, did she mention their names, as she had used delayed casting.

"Not bad right, my Majestic White Empress, Celestial Demon Royal Decree, technique not only renders attacks from those of lower "standing" useless, but it also summons the Celestial Demon Royal Army to punish whoever tried to attack me", said the silver haired vampire mother as she put emphasis in the word "standing" to further insult Karla, which worked like a charm.

"Mythical Black Wings, Calamity Emblem!", as Karla's wings exploding in battle mana as she used her promise level boosting spell, this time on the blue metal spear in which her bow had turned.

"Mythical Black Storm Sea, Tempest Torrent Tsunami Breaking Thrust!", she shouted as battle mana gathered on the head of her spear which was then thrusted at Aisha, releasing a highly concentrated one-kilometer stream of battle mana.

'Try to block this one you damn bitch, it's a battle spell created to pierce through full defense type magic knights!', screamed Karla to her insides, only for her face to distort as she saw the violet blood moon and stars high into the sky have those symbols appear again, which made a violet-colored light commanding said symbols envelop her battle spell making it stop in cold after it had reached a certain distain from Aisha.

"Crack!", the highly concentrated attack then crumbled apart, and as if to add salt to the wound Aisha added.

"Ah right, I forgot to mention it, but my royal decree is a single cast permanent technique, which means that it will be active so long as I keep destinating energy to it, the same applies to the demon army of course, show her", said the silver-haired vampire mother as she snapped her fingers, making the left arms of the fully metal armored figures return to normal, then they extended their right arms and silver lightning crackled on them which then formed lightning swords, as they all charged towards Karla.

This was another of Aisha's techniques which used two domains and three types of energy, which means that it was a technique that allowed her to exert the peak of "Plan B" strength, unlike the demon sword, this one was one of her five strongest techniques at said limit though, that's why she added the word "royal" to it, and also it was one of the few in her repertory that heavily leaned towards the "mysterious" aspect, because the violet blood stars were using a ritual, to negate all attacks from enemies of lower "standing", regardless of power, it judged a concept instead, so it was basically a technique with a "rule", though Aisha didn't have rules.

Of course, if the difference in power was too big then it could be overwhelmed, but Karla didn't fulfill that condition, which is why she was now being chased by dozens of metal armored figures with lightning swords.

When attacked by a "summon" or "creation" technique type using enemy, the easiest way to break through the usual swarm tactic is to target the caster rather than dealing with a large number of enemies.

"Mythical Black Storm Sea, Tempest Torrent Tsunami Breaking Thrust!", the problem is that Karla's attacks were not reaching Aisha as the stream released by her spear thrust stopping before getting close to Aisha to then crumble apart, once again, suggested.

"Clang!", what's more, when Karla changed the spear into a bow and directly released a rain of battle mana arrows, the demon army simply turned their left arms into shields and blocked the arrows, which didn't even make a dent on them.

"Mythical Black Storm Sea, Torrent Calamity Rain!", realizing that simple attacks without using battle spells were pointless against the demon army, Karla changed to use a wide area attack type battle spell which resulted in sharp rain drops falling from the sky, landing on the shields of the demon army.

"Crack!", this time Karla's attack managed to make some cracks all over the shields, but before the mermaid-siren could celebrate, she saw the shields recovering, though the demon army slightly shrank since they had used some of the metal of their bodies to repair their shields.

"Damn it!!!", feeling annoyed as hell, Karla cursed but she didn't have the leisure to express her anger, because Aisha wasn't going to just watch her being swarmed by the demon army, she herself flashed towards the mermaid-siren joining the fight.

The royal decree only blocked energy type attacks, so close combat was within Karla's possibilities, the problem is that Aisha is as fierce as Freya in close combat, so the mermaid-siren honestly would have preferred to bombard Aisha from the distance, unfortunately like Aisha had said they are not the ones who call the shots here.

Leaving Aisha's side aside for a moment, the gate which had opened both of its leaves and had giant magic aura arms emerge from them as it was engaging in a "primitive" exchange of punches with the valkyrie girl, cursed to his insides.

'What is Karla doing, she can't deal with a damn mortal even as both an administrator and a candidate… and this war goddess what the hell is going on with her battle avatar, each time I clash with her, those damn grey silver flames are burning down my magic aura', he thought.

"You bastards enjoy toying with people's lives, so I bet it had never crossed your mind, the horror that those who have had something they hold dear taken away from them, experience", said Freya, the more she saw the gate the more her energy grew fiercer, as she was reminded that the system arranged her two sisters to die at Ereth's hands.

Then under the surprised eyes of the gate, Freya's battle avatar once again grew, reaching ten kilometers of height, which is incredible for the arch rank, that's a battle avatar not a magic avatar, it would be the equivalent of a mage having an effective domain a hundred kilometers large, not an advanced domain even, just a domain, because Freya is not even using replicas except for the armor whose special properties hadn't been mentioned nor used so far by the way.

The knight based half emperors of the four galaxies, around middle level, have battle avatars that go from ten to fifteen kilometers of size, mixed path powerhouses aren't a thing there, but half emperors at middle level are actually stronger than Stellar ranks at the middle stage of Neptune in average, with few exceptions like Thea for example, and Freya has not moved an inch from the peak of the Arch rank, so you get the idea.

"Conceptual Banner!", this time with a bit of fierceness in her voice contrary to her usual calm casting, the valkyrie girl used her initial technique, which normally wouldn't be the case as she has the winning record version now, which allows her to skip the whole conflict thing, but apparently, she was going to use a brand-new effect, which means no sword, spear, bow or winged boots were about to appear in the battlefield.

The banners that appeared were the familiar "knight" and "mage" ones and the knight one instantly won.

"Conflict!", with a single word, the losing banner cracked and the winning one burned alongside the other, to then condense into a… seal.

Yup, contrary to what one would believe considering the fierceness in Freya's voice, what appeared wasn't a weapon, it was a rectangular seal that could be hold with a single of the valkyrie girl battle avatar's hand.

And yet, the moment it appeared, the gate actually tried to retreat, but it was a second too slow to react and the seal which was pointed upwards by Freya, projected a huge symbol, which was the same it was engraved onto the seal, a straight standing fully armored female figure with a crown while holding onto a sword which was pointed downwards, with both hands.

"Boooom", the energy projection descended upon the gate and dragged it down from the sky, smacking it against the ground, before the projection exploded leaving the previously mentioned pattern engraved not only on the solid ground but even in the air, or more accurately in the space itself.
