Chapter 775 - 775: A fundamentally different kind of fight (part 5)

"How interesting, I made sure to blast away your heart and even if partially, your head as well, but let alone being at the verge of death, you don't seem to be feeling any pain, it's interesting that you can severe your connection with that body to achieve such a thing", casually said Aisha as she saw Arlion's left body burn in battle aura as it regenerated everything he had lost, including organs such as his heart and brain.

Naturally, the silver-haired vampire mother wasn't playing around, she aimed her javelin at the left side of the body because that's where the heart is positioned, in other words she wanted to kill Arlion in a single go.

'How the hell does she know that!', inwardly cursed Arlion, it's weird that he showed pain earlier when his battle avatar was impacted by the flashing javelins and yet he was perfectly calm after having lost half of his body.

And the reason is that he severed the connection between his physical vessel, in other words Terry's body and himself before the attack reached him, then he just needed to make the physical vessel regenerate and could ignore the damage.

Of course, doing so required a decently high amount of vitality and battle aura, so it's not like he was physically immortal or anything like that, but it was indeed a good life-saving measure, which's process should be unknown to the enemy and yet Aisha casually talked about it right on his face.

'Did Dian betray me… no, we need each other for what comes next, she must have an ability of sorts that allows her to see through the process of things, her eyes are not normal after all', thought Arlion.

Earlier when Aisha mentioned that his lineage despite including the term "disaster" in it, isn't negatively oriented, directly at least, Arlion already felt wary of Aisha's eyes, and his suspicion was further confirmed in his mind by the previous.

Of course, he was wrong as hell, Aisha's eyes indeed are special, her pupils become slit-shaped when she uses her blood energy, and her reflects, instincts and physical aspects in general are boosted as well, however that has nothing to do with how she discovered those "dirty secrets" of Arlion.

Well, the sharpened instincts did help her know that there was something behind the positive orientation of Arlion's lineage despite its supposed specialty being curses, but that was half of a guess from Aisha.

On the other hand, she was completely confident in the second subject, namely the process used by Arlion to avoid suffering damage in their previous clash, because she used her blood reading for it.

Though Arlion's body didn't spill blood nor had its organs fall out and spread on the ground when he lost half of his body, because his battle aura prevented it from happening, his blood was visible for a moment there, it was also the first time that happened, so it was the first time Aisha could use her blood reading to learn about such an important information from the enemy, given that his blood was in almost plain view.

Also, despite Aisha's indifference towards Arlion as an opponent, the truth is that she has quite a few things she wants to hear from him, because he owes quite a few girls from the group an explanation, like Marlene, Daphne, the duchess and even Annete and Mellie.

Luckily, unlike others, Aisha doesn't need the target alive to gain information from them, courtesy of her blood reading, which is why she didn't care to blast away his heart a moment ago.

"Hssss!", speaking of which, silver, black metallic and violet amethyst lightning arcs crackled high into the sky.

'There it is, that damn suffocating sensation, what the hell!', inwardly cursed Arlion as he exploded in white-blue battle aura as he manifested his battle avatar, which by default now had both the crown and the cape on it at all times, he had to put a bit more of effort to also call out the winged boots replica as well as the triangular and tower shields though, just in time for Aisha to cast her spell.

"Silver Ruler Flashing Descend", said Aisha, making lightning pillars of the previously mentioned colors, rapidly descend.

"White Wave Breaking Step!", Arlion instantly used his movement martial art alongside the boots to flash away.

"Booooom!", loud thunder-like explosions echoed through the battlefield, making Arlion feel as if he was hit by a hammer every time… despite him perfectly dodging all the descending lightning pillars.

"Crack!", in fact, Arlion's battle avatar was helplessly flown all over the place by said explosions which made his shields and armor crack, this was while just receiving indirect damage because he managed to dodge all the lightnings this time.

'Why, why am I being trashed around like this, is it because of that violet energy being added to the mix!', cursed Arlion to his insides.

He was right for a change, this tri-colored lightning was the result of Aisha using her three energies to cast her techniques, while in terms of mana, her lightning was purple violet toned, for her energies, that color was moved to belong to her blood affinity instead.

Yeah, that's right, instead of the usual blood red, or a different shade of red that blood related energies have, Aisha's blood energy is violet colored.

Which is amusing because fun fact, red and violet colors sit at pretty much opposite sides of the scientific color line, red has the longest light waves while violet has the shortest ones, you can see it in the order of the colors of a rainbow, red is first and violet is last.

And yet, people's eyes and brains perceive them as similar, your blue and red eye cones which are the cells that are in charge of catching said colors, are both triggered by pure violet light, so your brain will link violet to have a reddish feel to it.

Anyway, the color aspect of it is actually more of an interesting coincidence, in Aisha's case, her blood energy is violet colored because of what it represents.

You see, in the oldest records of the four galaxies, more accurately of the Immortal galaxy where vampires had lived for an unknown amount of time, vampires used a different term to refer to themselves, "Nobles of the night", that was the way the old vampires called themselves.

In fact, it is registered that the word "vampire" was considered a derogative term by them back then, of course times change and modern-day vampires mostly don't even know nor care about such a thing, with their really long lives and negative orientation tendencies, the older they get, the more they occupy their time and focus in violent, degeneration and thrill-seeking stuff.

With a single exception, the Nosfear family, they and their matriarch in especial, embody the image of what would come to mind when thinking about "nobles", despite them having the extreme negative oriented blood affinity, their minds are surprisingly not affected by any of the previously mentioned attitudes, if they have a defect that would be that they become a bit too prideful, but their matriarch properly keeps them in line, which is why she and Aura have a sane rivalry with the other, despite they feeling the instinctive urge to aim at each other's throats every time they meet.

And what does the violet color have anything to do with this lesson about old vampire history you wonder, well, violet is a color associated with the highest echelon of nobility, which would be royalty.

In the Silverheart family, basically all those from the main branch have silver colored either hair, eyes or both, the lower the stand of their lineage the less metallic said color becomes, going all the way to a lifeless gray tone for those of the poorest lineage purity, however in the Silverheart family only Aisha and Daimon had violet-colored eyes.

Which Aisha now knows are a symbol of nobility among vampires, yes, in plural, similar to the black sclerae which as explained during Marcus fight, is a general trait of devil royalty, violet eyes are a sign of high blood purity for vampires and they are rarer than the bright blood red eyes which are the alternative of the previous, because they can only be attained by those of high standing with more than one type of vampire blood running through their veins, like it is the case of Aisha and Daimon.

This high standing property was one of the two aspects imprinted into Aisha's blood energy, "authority", Aisha's blood energy has the capacity to overwhelm those targeted by her, that's the origin of the suffocating sensation which assaulted Arlion during the last two exchanges between Aisha and himself.

Arlion was actually doing quite well against it by only feeling suffocated, probably because he was a king himself, because otherwise, he would have bowed and dragged himself through the ground while thinking of how unworthy of living he is, just by Aisha's blood energy presence, it's a mind affecting property as you can see.

That's also why the word added to the names of her attack type techniques when she uses her blood energy is "Ruler", but wait there is more, just like with Arianna, Aisha's blood energy produces high amounts of vitality, which turns it similar in nature to battle aura, therefore adding some really high physical impact property to Aisha's techniques, "power" that's the second aspect imprinted into her blood energy.

Those thunder-like explosions were caused by the lightnings clashing with each other, something Aisha allowed since the explosions produced were enough to trash Arlion around.

Her blood energy sounds incredibly strong despite being her newest affinity right, there is a proper reason for it, regardless of whether we talk about the silverheart or the day walker lineage, both are vampire lineages and thus they are related to blood either direct or indirectly depending on each race, so, her blood energy grows stronger with each lineage that runs through her veins.

"Cough!", Arlion who managed to escape the area of effect of Aisha's technique, just experimented it firsthand, as he coughed a couple of times and saw the blood and a couple of teeth which were forced out of his mouth and couldn't help but glare at Aisha with hatred.

'Her energy has both mana and battle aura properties, don't tell me… she has achieved the state of a battle mage, damn it!', he cursed to his insides.

"Silver Ruler Flashing Javelins", with both of her hands pointed frontwards, Aisha casually released not two, or three, but four tri-colored lightning streams towards Arlion, two shot from her right hand, one from her left hand and one from the casting spot in front of her mouth.

"Fucking hell, Clear Water Wave Breaking Step!!!", unlike earlier, this time Arlion used the upgraded version of his movement martial art, which made the legs of his battle avatar as well as the winged boots replica, explode in white-blue battle aura as he turned into a flash of the same color in order to avoid the four javelins flying at him at an insanely high speed.

And in case you wonder why he didn't use it earlier, it's not that he didn't want to, but that he couldn't, it took Arlion precious fractions of a second to manifest his battle avatar and the replicas after Aisha blasted everything away earlier, and the clear water affinity version of his movement martial art took a bit longer to be casted, so he went with the normal one, but didn't dare to do so again.

With a "swoosh", Arlion dodged the incoming javelins even after Aisha changed their trajectory in order to strike him down, however that didn't mean he was safe.

"Silver Ruler Explosive Descends", in fact Arlion felt like cursing to the skies, Aisha's techniques when having blood energy added to them already packed really high physical impact, and now she was adding the high heat generation of the mithril metal property energy, what's more for the first time Aisha was casting more than one instance of a wide area technique, you can imagine how dangerous that was, but that wasn't all.

"I don't mind ending things right now if you really value secrecy more than your life, better for me, I have a lot of catching up to do with my darling, Silver Ruler Flashing Descend".

"Silver Ruler Breaking Descend", added Aisha, she was using not two, but four wide area attack type techniques, and with different metal energy properties, all at the same time, this was her current limit for wide area attacks which require large amounts of focus each, especially when being simultaneously casted with different energy combinations, as in different metal energy properties.

"Crack!", seeing the sky which was crackling with electricity of multiple colors, Arlion felt his scalp numbing.

"Fuuuuck!!!", he cursed as he was drowned into a seemingly world-ending rain of lightning which engulfed everything within ten kilometers, this time there was no way to dodge, because Aisha didn't just stack the techniques, she casted them so that the lightning pillars would cover everything not leaving a single centimeter free for the enemy to move without being impacted by lightning.

"Booooooom!", as expected a huge ear-piercing explosion accompanied by a shockwave which made the atmosphere itself tremble, expanded reaching all the way to the limits of the demonite barrier, which in case you have forgotten is three times larger than the area covered by Aisha's wide area attack type techniques.

Just the shockwave, obliterated all the pieces of floating ground in another ten kilometers around the area directly impacted by the lightning rain, all this while Aisha was safely and calmly floating inside her defensive metal field.

Her lightning didn't affect her in the slightest, as it belongs to her in all the meaning of the word, but the shockwave was a byproduct of it and Aisha had no control over that, so she used the defensive metal field created by her wings to protect herself.

Once that world-ending lightning rain ended, the disastrous scene of the battlefield surrounding twenty kilometers with Aisha as the center, was revealed.

"Mmm, that didn't kill you either, as expected of a "chosen one" candidate and an annoying cockroach hero type to top it off", casually said Aisha as she saw the right eye of Arlion floating in the air that was everything which was left of him, out of which the rest of his physical body regenerated on the spot.

"Blegh!", that being said, and despite his body completely returning to normal, alongside his battle avatar and all the replicas, which now included the armor, crown, cape, boots, triangular and tower shields as well as the sword by default, Arlion couldn't help but vomit blood the next second, that was backslash due to the huge amount of vitality and battle aura he had to use to regenerate.

Which might make you wonder why that was the case, given that he didn't show any negative reaction when he regenerated earlier, and the reason for that it's that he had to regenerate himself many times in such a short period of time.

In case you didn't notice it, this time his battle avatar was manifested with four extra replicas by default when compared to earlier, namely the boots the two shields and the sword, that's because he "died" four times a moment ago, so you get why the backslash.

But that probably doesn't catch your attention as much as Aisha's previous words, regarding Arlion being a… hero candidate, which means he is aiming to become a chosen one or in simple words a system user.

"HOW, how the hell do you know that!!!", shouted Arlion to the sky, he has done every single preparation behind the scenes, not even Ereth should be aware of his plans and yet the silver-haired woman in front of him, casually revealed it like that.

He has the confidence of thinking that Ereth is unaware of his goal because he isn't aiming to steal the status of a hero from Ereth, in fact he wasn't aiming to steal from any system user, because Arlion is fully aware of how dangerous they can be, he didn't even target Adam nor Marcus despite how "low ranked" they were supposed to be in Ereth's words, because he put safety first.

But everything seemed to be crumbling apart in front of the silver-haired beautiful girl in front of him, who naturally wasn't going to answer him, but you do get an explanation, it was thanks to blood reading, it was a short glimpse because Arlion regenerated his body real fast, but with four glimpses at the information contained in his blood, since he had to regenerate his body four times in total, she extracted quite the interesting piece of intel from him, his biggest ambition.

Aisha didn't know the process nor the actions he had taken in order to achieve it though, she aimed to obtain Arlion's most guarded secret and that's what came out.

The interesting part is that before Ereth, Arlion had never associated himself with a system user, because like previously stated he was really wary of them, the global raid was his perfect stage because even "chosen ones" will be restricted within the blood prison realm, and yet he is already a candidate according to what Aisha learned from his blood.

Which means that he managed to catch the attention of whatever turns people into system users.

'Mmm, in any case he is merely a candidate so his situation is not like the one of that crazy ghost girl', thought Aisha referring to Lezabel, she was directly offered a system user position, though it was with the finality of turning her into an administrator by using Ariel's life as leverage.

So, whatever Arlion achieved to draw the attention of said entity, it was of a much lower standing when compared to that ghost-like girl indeed, that's also probably the reason as to why Eve didn't detect it, he was not worthy enough to be considered a threat by the administrator girl, at least not in his normal state when he wasn't fighting as a hero candidate, like until now.

"You wanted this fight to end faster right, you'll regret it", said Arlion as he looked into his pocket, a motion that Aisha has seen before, when he broke out of her blood energy's "authority" effect, it basically meant that whatever he had in that pocket was a source of confidence for Arlion.

"Clear Water Ancestor Pendant", said Arlion as he took out a white-blue wave emblem with a chain on it, out of his pocket while coughing up blood, amusingly enough just like Ariel's, vessel, the proof that Arlion was a hero candidate was a pendant too.

And there is a reason for it, that blood he just coughed and was too enthralled on the appearance of the emblem, to clean, had some interesting intel for Aisha's pretty violet amethyst eyes, that was the pendant where Dian's spirit hid to escape being captured by the sealing technique used by the megalodon general, after the White's ancestor had his ass kicked by Ophelia.

You know that cliche right, the super powerful old man inhabiting a family's object which is not put in the eyes of said family's current generation leaders, but is obtained by the least talented member of the young generation of said family and then the super powerful old man becomes his master and helps him raise to glory, well that's practically how it went.

Of course, if Arlion had properly turned into a system user because of that situation, an administrator would reside in the pendant right now but the thing was not a vessel, it was a medium for a ritual of sorts instead.

Also, Dian would have for sure asked to be given information about system users in exchange for his help, but he was simply given Arlion's old body and was promised Arlion's help in exchange, so in fact Dian has no knowledge about this whole situation at all, which tells us that there is way more hidden in Arlion's mind.

You can also tell that Arlion's ambitions were a completely different subject aside from Dian's goals, because while he has the White Disaster shark's lineage as his descendant, he has an obvious fixation with the clear water kingdom, rather than the northern sea stellar kingdom from which Dian came, that was the end of the intel Aisha could obtain from that blood, so let's go back to the fight for the time being.

"Silver Ruler Breaking Javelins", of course Aisha wasn't just going to let him peacefully power up, she directly shot four javelins with battle aura nullifying properties added to them, right at Arlion whose body was letting out wave after wave of white-blue battle aura.

"Royal Clear Water Crown!", all the battle aura released by the past king suddenly gathered and contracted, using the pendant as its base, a white-blue crown was manifested for Arlion to wear.

This was different than the crown replica wore by Arlion's battle avatar, because this was meant for him to personally use, which he did.

"Clang!", in response, a white-blue halo shone behind of Arlion, projecting a barrier that stopped the four javelins, producing sparks and the sounds of metals colliding, as they were ultimately unable to break through Arlion's defense, for the first time since the fight started, the past king had actually managed to come out ahead in a clash with Aisha.
