One could see the unwillingness in the eyes of the little tiger girl as her hand was about to reach the lioness body, but then Dana’s little fist shone in a dazzling silver light.

“Crack!”, that wasn’t the sound of the lioness’s throat being crushed, but the sound of those ominous black chains shattering upon exposition to the silver light, followed by black smoke which came out of the horned skull mark on the lioness’s neck.

With a “swoosh” both Dana and the lioness flashed away in opposite directions, for different reasons.

‘What was that, the connection which I willingly stablished between Marcus and myself is still there, but the priority order was… blocked’, thought the lioness, Dana on the other hand was lost in her thoughts as she saw the silver light covering her right arm disappear.

“Was that something the masked guy gave to you?”, asked the lioness, to which Dana slightly smiled as she nodded.

“Mm”.

“I see… I guess I was wrong then, he is far more than dangerous than what I originally believed”, concluded the lioness.

“Shouldn’t you rush to help whoever is about to die, judging by the energy firm, I think it’s another blood specter?”, asked the little tiger girl.

“It is, like I said, I didn’t forget about what happened back then, so I remember who fought against the tyranny of those bastards and who… stabbed their kin in the back, traitors can get blasted into pieces for all I care”, answered the lioness, putting an end to this small interruption in their fight.

“Roooaaar!”, the half destroyed lightning tiger and black lioness in the sky roared, the partial domains surrounding them were absorbed through their mouths, only then did they manage to maintain their beast forms, barely.

It became obvious that those two had used too much energy and mana, because the lightning tiger and the black lioness, despite having absorbed what was left of the partial domains, were blinging after having restored the parts they lost.

“Lightning Tiger Explosive Fist!”, lightning energy exploded around Dana’s fist as she punched at the lioness.

“Black Lion Ruler Suppressive Palm!”, the lioness pushed her palm frontwards meeting Dana’s fist head on in response.

“Crack!”, the impact made the remaining armor on those two’s bodies explode on the spot, just in time for the lightning tiger and the black lioness in the sky to entangle in a “dog fight” as in they bit and clawed each other.

“Booooom!”, since they were energy agglomerations, instead of bleeding, the energy which conformed them became unstable, resulting in a massive explosion that engulfed the sky, making both Dana and Lioness to see white for a second due to the energy released all over the area.

Once the energy cloud subsided, silence returned to the vicinity with the exception of a dripping sound, which was the result of the blood that was dripping on the ground behind of… Dana.

The sight of the little tiger girl having a hand pressed against the area between her upper chest and her shoulder, while claws came out of her back was revealed.

“That’s what I call a good “beastly instincts”…”, said the lioness as she fell to her knees, the reason being that while she had left five piercing wounds on Dana, she had a hole blasted right where her heart is positioned.

“…”, the little tiger girl looked bitter and not because she had blood coming out of the corner of her mouth, due to the attack that reached her.

She looked downwards at the area where her heart is positioned, from the corner of her eyes she could see a brown lightning pattern which had appeared on her skin.

What happened is that when they were blinded by the explosion, those two charged at the other with the intention to finish the fight, though they obviously wanted to continue, they were already close to reach their limits, so it was time to try and kill the other.

Therefore, they both went for the heart, which is the realistic and logical option to kill the enemy, because it’s harder to land an attack on the head, then just as things seemed to be about to end in mutual destruction, a brown lightning pattern appeared on the left side of Dana’s body.

The weight on that side suddenly increased which brought unbalance to Dana’s stance, and that’s why the attack of the lioness which was going to land on her chest area ended up piercing her shoulder.

The lioness on the other hand took Dana’s punch to the chest, which blasted a hole on it, damaging her heart, fun fact, now that she has taken human form, her body is… real, she has flesh and blood, which again would have made Reed get a heart attack considering how much time he has been trying to get a companion for his prisoner days.

“Looks like it wasn’t your doing, but still since it is a part of your power, it’s an honorable victory and a glorious way for a warrior to die”, said the lioness as she saw the bitter expression on the little tiger girl’s pretty face.

“I thought we were fighting on equal terms, considering how new you are to use mana, but that wasn’t the case, I had someone covering my back while you had someone chasing you…”, mumbled Dana.

If it’s not obvious at this point, that brown pattern wasn’t the power of her tiger lineage, it affected gravity, therefore it came from the lion lineage which she had awakened due to atavism.

The thing woke up on its own in the middle of the fight, because Dana was in actual danger, something that wouldn’t have happened had it not been for everything she has experienced with Arianna and the mental growth she has gone through, thanks to Daimon, that’s why she didn’t feel it was fair, because the lioness was being dragged down by her own teammates unlike her.

What’s more, if it was up to Dana, she would have gathered that pattern on her fist to attack the lioness instead of to defend herself, like it happened and yet, her own lineage didn’t listen to her wishes.

‘What a shame, if things were different it would have been fun to run wild with this little tigress cub’, jokingly thought the lioness as she felt strength abandoning her body and knew that her time was coming, but before that she still had something to say.

“Kill me with that silver light from before please, if it was able to block the priority order from Marcus, then it should be enough to prevent me from returning to that he…”, before the lioness could finish, Dana’s eyes shone like lamps.

“Right!”, besides her right arm, the rest of the little tiger girl’s body suddenly exploded in a bright silver light which then gathered on Dana’s fist which was still in the body of the lioness, because if she retrieved it the lioness would die probably on the spot, she was blocking the bleeding because her lightning had burned the wound as well.

‘Finally, peace… huh?’, the lioness which had closed her eyes thinking that the little tiger girl had accepted her last wish, suddenly opened them as she felt a warm wave invade her body.

The under Dana’s sparkling eyes, an ominous black strand alongside wriggling black mana were forced out of the lioness body, which by the way returned to her beast form the next second.

Naturally due to the transition, Dana’s hand left the lioness body, but it was fine, the only consequence of the previous was a silver lightning pattern being left behind where the wound used to be.

Well, that and the fact that the lioness body, which had returned to be a blood specter, started crumbling apart.

“As “ridiculous” as it might sound, when aunt sealed a deal with big brother Daimon, she asked me if I wanted his help, I wasn’t taken pity on, but accepted the indirect help that came from aunt and big brother’s exchange of benefits instead”.

“Now I offer you the same, you are free, if you want to you can leave, I will inherit your energy and, well, I don’t know what will I obtain by absorbing a lion’s red strand, but anyway the point is that I’ll benefit as a result of what I did, on the other hand, you can stay and get a chance to live as a warrior without any strings attached, so long as I’m alive I guess”, said the little tiger girl as she extended her palm at the lioness.

“Why?”, despite her body which was crumbling apart, the lioness didn’t panic, she genuinely didn’t fear death, so long as it was a good death in her own terms which is something she could obtain right now, thanks to Dana.

“Because I too was set free to obtain what I wished with my own strength, thanks to someone else”, said the little tiger girl, which made the lioness smile.

“Well, your side looks more fitting for me anyway”, said the lioness as she placed her paw against Dana’s palm, then her body stopped crumbling apart, in fact all the cracks on it were healed, the silver lightning mark on the lioness’s chest moved to the back of her palm, while a black flame mark appeared on the back of Dana’s palm before the lioness turned into a black light which was absorbed by Dana’s body.

Yeah, you heard right, not a red strand but a black light, and the surprises kept coming, the black stripes on Dana’s hair glowed in a black light, before a small dark and bright yellow crown appeared above the little tiger girl’s head.

“Humph, no matter how prideful and noble a lineage might be, it should always obey its owner, let’s give this thing a beating so it learns how to behave”, the voice of the lioness could be heard in the vicinity as a black mana lioness manifested behind Dana.

“Mm, but before that, how about you give yourself a name, we are going to be together for a long time after all, I’m Dana”, said the little tiger girl, to which the lioness who walked until she was next to Dana answered.

“A name… I got it, call me Reyna it means “queen”, I can’t call myself a ruler in this state but it’s not a bad start”, said the lioness which made Dana giggle to herself, amusingly enough, the name she chose for herself, was similar in pronunciation to her aunt’s one.

Having sorted that, the little tiger girl’s eyes glowed in a bright yellow light and the lightning tiger from before, now a lightning tigress by the way, returned to the scene, what’s more both the lightning mountain and the black grasslands made out of energy and mana, enveloped Dana as a brown-gray lion the size of a house appeared in front of them, that was the manifestation of the other lineage flowing through Dana’s veins.

“We’ll properly have a good fight once I grow stronger the way I want it to, thanks to this “indirect” grace I have received, right?”, asked the lioness to which the little tiger girl nodded in response.

“Of course!”, said Dana with a sharp light flashing through her eyes.

“Roaaaaar!”, three different deafening roars echoed through the sky, as the lightning tigress, the black lioness as well as the little tiger girl charged at the giant lion, signaling the end of the fight, because that was a part of Dana’s reward for having passed her challenge, the lioness joining her side was a “bonus” courtesy of Daimon’s silver light.

Unlike Tessa and Femi, apparently the little tiger girl’s “awarding process” required her to fight instead, not like she was not up for it, in fact considering her bright smile as she rushed alongside the black lioness, she was more than happy right now.

Leaving the little tiger girl who was having fun hunting with her own little “pack”, we can now go to see the origin of the chains that interrupted those two’s fun, cutting their fight shorter than what it should have been.

But for that we have to rewind time, after Daimon had left to chase after Marcus the sky-blue haired dolphin princess, Lyn casually turned to see Badr and Arianna who had found their respective enemies to then say.

“I have a few things I need to check on this guy, so, leave unless you want to be blasted away~”.

The scarred tall nethereal kept his calm behavior which honestly didn’t fit his scary appearance, but the werewolf girl Arianna felt the urge to strangle Lyn, though she ultimately took a deep breath to then say.

“Let’s change places, unless you are planning to team up with that snake, of course”, there was disdain in her voice as she focused her attention on the eel race descendant pirate, as if asking him if he was going to “beg for help” to a fellow sea race beast, which made him see red.

“Rigle, let’s change the location of our fight!”, said the eel race pirate, also known as Luis, making the knife wielding pirate to frown to his insides for a second, if they remained close, if an emergency happened, they could get support from their companions if needed, on the other hand, Luis had saved his ass earlier when the giant red wolf was about to bite off his arm, so despite the clear provocation that the enemy was using, Rigle assumed that his teammate had a proper reason to accept the suggestion of changing the battlefield.

“We agree, but we’ll choose the new location”, and as Rigle expected, his teammate had a nice reason, which was to change the battlefield to one that was to their advantage, there was still a need to see if the enemy agreed though.

“Sure, not like it will make a difference”, to both the liking and the displease of the pirates, the werewolf girl casually agreed to their condition and so, Arianna followed the two pirates far towards east, once they had disappeared into the distance it was Badr’s turn to make his move.

“I assume you two “warriors” from the Violence faction wouldn’t want someone else to butt in our fight, so let’s move as well, since the east is taken, let’s go for the west”, said the tall scarred nethereal, to which the buff violence faction nethereals nodded.

Those two only cared about one thing, they wanted to spill blood, since it has been so long since they could have a fight, and that left us with the “stars” of the current scene, the sky-blue haired girl Lyn and that two-headed snake whose body was majorly hidden within the black lake.

“So, are you going to talk by yourself or do you want me to “loosen up” your lips with a nice beating?”, casually said Lyn to the snake, which initially didn’t make sense, as it is a blood specter, which even at the middle stage of the Arch rank as this snake is, doesn’t have the capacity to talk.

What’s more, Lyn wasn’t talking to the head which tried to ambush them earlier, the one whose eyes shone with a tinge of intelligence, but to the one that remained hidden underwater with a blank stare.

Amusingly enough, Lyn didn’t even wait for whatever answer could come to her question, but directly had blue energy rings appear around her ankles, to then disappear from plain sight the next second.

“Crack!”, the sound of the ground exploding came a moment later, just in time for Lyn to appear above the two-headed snake, more accurately above the head whose stare was still in blank.

“Seismic Step”, with a fierce voice and even fiercer blue energy, a huge shockwave descended upon the snake’s head whose blank stare disappeared on the spot, replaced by a hate-filled expression.

“God damnit, Black Ice Mountain Shield!”, an angered voice came out of the snake’s mouth as a large combination of black soil and frozen black water raised from the bottom of the lake, getting in the middle of the two-headed snake and Lyn’s attack.

“Boooom!”, as one would expect from the sky-blue haired girl, she always rained destruction on her enemies, the blue shockwave clashed against the frozen piece of rock and blasted it into pieces on the spot.

That being said and while frozen debris flew in every direction, the spell used by the snake did manage to block Lyn’s technique at the end of the day, it’s easy to know it, because the snake’s head is still attached to its body.

“See, it would have been easier if you just listened and obeyed to your “superiors”, just like back then”, casually said the sky-blue haired girl as she landed on the ground to then wave her hand instantly dispelling the cold mist released by the snake’s spell when it was shattered by her shockwave.

“…”, since there was no response and the snake was nowhere to be seen, which meant that it had hidden itself within the black lake, Lyn walked a bit while “talking to herself”.

“I always knew you were a snake-like bastard, but weren’t you a member of the Black Marlin race, so, how come you are inside of a sea snake now, what’s more why are you sharing your body with a land snake too”, said Lyn to then add.

“Well, not like it was that much of a loss to change bodies in your case, since you were the “Eternal number two” in your family, though at least you broke your record by being degraded to number three in Dian’s group, thanks to Claire”.

“Ahhhhh, enough you fucking bitch!!!”, black water splashed everywhere as the snake raised from the bottom of the lake, bringing a black water wave which was surrounding its body alongside it.

‘Yep, it’s that inferiority complex bastard of Rendon, now I wonder if it was that weird devil whatever guy the one that put him into a snake’s body, or was it perhaps an interesting different variation of the sealing spell used in this place?’, thought Lyn after confirming her suspicions, curiosity burned in her eyes, as usual she was driven by her desire of learning about new interesting subjects.

The guy in question, is actually another of the close aides of the White Disaster Shark’s family representative, in other words Dian’s “lackey” number two from Lyn’s perspective.

By the way, they weren’t numbered strength-based, because Rendon was way stronger than Claire, Ophelia and Lyn numbered them based in the authority they had over Dian’s coalition within the exploration army.
