Challenges, Little Tiger girl version (part 6)

“Now, that’s more like it…”, mumbled the little tiger girl as she saw the altar summoned this time, which was obviously different than the one the lioness was granted by Marcus.

To begin with, it didn’t have the word “devil” in it, and also there was no negative emotion in its name, so just like the lioness had stated she resisted every try from Reed to instill nether in her existence.

But what actually made Dana’s mood to improve was the fact that there was no barrier around the altar where the lioness had placed herself on, a second ago.

Not as in that made it easy for the lioness to be attacked by the little tiger girl, the mana that was being radiated by the black cocoon which had covered the lioness, would retaliate with absolute fierceness if someone tried to interrupt the process after all.

And even if that wouldn’t have been the case, Dana wouldn’t have tried to get in the way, because this is the fight that she was looking up to, and in case you think that she’ll be getting scolded for this, which she was prepared for by the way, Daimon also told her that neither his nor anyone’s words are absolute truths, there are times when someone has to trust their instincts.

‘Mmm, “See with your own eyes and judge by yourself” was it, I wonder if big brother Daimon knew what my challenge was going to be about’, thought the little tiger girl.

Back to the fight, the reason as to why Dana’s mood improved is that just at the lioness stated, this power she was using wasn’t obtained thanks to Marcus, it was the lioness’s own, that’s why there was no barrier, nor bones or skeletons of any kind.

As to how she had an “altar” spell that was completely unrelated to Marcus, the lioness said that she obtained affinity with devil mana as a result of all the torture Reed put her through, and that had happened way before she met with the devil ruler system user, she just couldn’t use any of her powers until she escaped the cage where she was kept.

So, just like the little tiger girl and all the other participants, the lioness was just learning how to use mana and devil mana through the challenge of the Blood Prison realm, which might be why the process was taking longer than when she used the perfected version of Marcus’s altar spell.

The interesting part about it, is that despite the “altar” spells need for devil mana to be casted, the mana which formed the cocoon around the lioness was normal darkness mana, only the altar was formed by it, so you could say that the lioness had quite a high control over devil mana, she was the one in control here.

“Ruler of Pride”, words coming from the black cocoon which then started to fade away the next second, drew the attention of the little tiger girl, the voice she heard was definitely that of the lioness, however it also sounded different than before, more “refined” would the best way to put it.

Which made absolute sense after the “lioness” emerged from within the black mana cocoon… in human form, well humanoid form would be more accurate considering that she kept some magic beast traits, such as lion ears, a tail and claws which were black inked.

Besides that, and her tall well-toned figure, she had grey-blue eyes and voluminous black hair which would make one instantly think of a mane, which is interesting because this lioness is obviously a female as her outstanding pretty looks would suggest, it might be worth looking into it considering that the lion girl Aleah shares this trait as well.

“I see, so this why it’s called “Dream sacrifice”, it requires you to abandon your magic beast form in exchange for a stronger power”, said the little tiger girl after a quick glance.

Even from afar, Dana could tell that the lioness… had really become stronger, once again her realm didn’t change in the slightest, she was still at the early stage of the Arch rank.

However, the small black mana particles that had started to gather around her, signaled the fact that she was now using a “Manifestation Phenomenon” and that’s not all, the depth of her shadow’s darkness had more than quadrupled, to the point that the little tiger girl could no longer directly see into it with her eyes.

It was amusing to know that Reed would have a stroke if he got to know that the stubborn and prideful lioness, which rejected each and every try of him to make her assume a human form, obtained one on her own, what’s more she was a beauty in all the meaning of the word, not that such was the intention of the lioness though.

She is a participant of the Blood Prison realm’s challenge, therefore the route she is following is the one to turn her weaknesses into opportunities to grow, due to the whole thing with Reed, she hated the idea of abandoning her beast form, but her own altar spell ended up having that ability.

“I strongly appreciate my origins but the one in control is me, I won’t let the “devil” whispering in my ears to turn what I take pride in the most into a “sin”, I apologize for my previous lacking attitude, from this point onwards I’ll give my all to defeat you”, said the lioness without an ounce of hesitation, the black mana coming from all over the area gathered behind her to form a black lioness as she gazed at Dana, who answered in kind.

“That’s what I have been waiting to hear”, said the little tiger girl, yellow lightning arcs crackled around her taking the shape of a tiger.

“Roaaaaar!”, both the black mana lioness and the lightning tiger roared at each other as the energy and mana of those two which was expanding in the vicinity met in the air.

“Crack!”, yellow sparks collided against black mana mist causing a shattering sound, that was the start of the last round of the fight between those two.

“Boooom!”, after exchanging gazes for a second Dana and the lioness flashed from their previous position, they started by clashing their fists against each other, but it wasn’t as simple as that.

Just as their fists made contact, so did the yellow lightning energy tiger and the black mana lioness behind of them, resulting in a loud explosion as both Dana and the lioness, were forced backwards.

“Black Lion Ruler Suppressing Palm!”, the lioness took the initiative to use go from regular attacks to spells, black mana gathered around her right hand as she bent her fingers to then thrust frontwards, the black lioness behind of her followed with her right paw as well.

“Lightning Tiger Thunder Breaking Fist!”, Dana answered by making lightning explode around her right fist to then punch at the incoming clawed palm, the lightning tiger behind of her also attacked with her right paw.

“Clang!”, first the sound of metals colliding echoed through the sky as the palm and fist collided head on.

“Boooom!”, followed by an explosion above them as the tiger and lioness’s paws met and destroyed each other upon contact.

Like before, those two ended up in a tie and being forced to retreat due to the impact of their attacks, while flying backwards the little tiger girl whose eyes were burning with fighting spirit as she pointed her left hand at the lioness

“Lightning Thunder Break”, the lioness managed to see the process of that technique which took her by surprise before, a yellow flash was condensed and tossed at high speed, towards the area where Dana was pointing.

“Black Flame Burst”, being reminded of the power of the little tiger girl’s technique, the lioness countered with an energy explosion of her own, in the form of an agglomeration of black fire which she shot from her left hand.

“Boooom!”, Dana’s lightning exploded upon contact with the lioness’s black flames, creating a thunder-like sound, both attacks cancelled each other.

“Tsk”, the lioness and the little tiger girl clicked their tongues, the black mana particles around the lioness and the electric arcs being radiated by Dana increased in quantity.

“Black Lion Stride!”, the very second the lioness regained control over her body, she turned into a black flash which charged towards Dana.

“Lightning Tiger Step!”, the little tiger girl on the other hand, while still midair used her legs which were cladded in lightning to propel herself at the incoming lioness.

“Crack!”, shattering sounds were produced as the lioness’s claws crushed the right frontal leg of the lightning tiger behind Dana, while the little tiger girl shredded the right frontal leg of the black lioness behind the enemy.

“Humph!”, those two who had bypassed each other to attack the tiger and lioness instead, softly snorted as they twirled in the air.

“Lightning Tiger Tail Whip”, Dana used the momentum to lash her tail which was cladded in lightning at the enemy.

“Black Lion Heavy Charge”, the lioness on the other hand covered her left arm in black mana as she took a tackling stance to then charge at the little tiger girl.

“Boooom!”, the tail and the shoulder clashed midair, their energy and mana consumed each other, before it was time for the physical impact to come into play, and again the result was a tie.

Both Dana and the lioness landed on the ground a second later and then gazed at each other for a second, in the previous exchanges neither of them gained the upper hand.

“Where are your copies, shouldn’t you be spamming attacks from every direction?”, said the little tiger girl to which the lioness retorted.

“My shadow affinity comes from my compatibility with devil mana, darkness is my original affinity, in other words I sealed up my shadow affinity alongside my beast form, for this change, what about your instinctive outbursts of strength?”.

“They are kept in check thanks to the manifestation phenomenon”, answered the little tiger girl.

It might sound as if they were blaming the other for not going all out, but the truth is that neither of them wanted the fight to end too fast, judging by their excited smiles, they were enjoying this.

With a “swoosh” those two disappeared from their previous spots, to then appear high into the air.

“Lightning Tiger Thunder Breaking Axe”, this time Dana used her right leg as the medium for this technique instead of her tail, so it was a descending kick instead.

“Black Lion Bone Crushing Kick!”, the lioness answered by cladding her right leg in black mana to then welcome Dana’s kick with her own, the impact sent them back in opposite directions and in case you think that was for naught, in truth it was needed to “fire them up” for what was coming next.

The particles of black mana that had been gathering around the lioness all rushed towards her body, while the electricity floating near Dana became visible to the naked eye.

“Hahaha!”, those two laughed as they charged towards the other, clashing in the sky the next second, releasing black flames as well as yellow lightning in every direction due to the impact.

“Roaaaaar!” a couple of deafening roars made the air itself tremble, both the lioness and the little tiger girl exploded in black mana and yellow lightning, respectively.

“Partial Domain!”, the same words came out of those two’s mouths at the same time, then mana and energy poured out of their bodies, combining with what has been gathering around them.

The result however was quite different, on the lioness’s side, an open black field appeared, while for Dana a tall mountain made out of lightning made its appearance.

“Ruler’s Grassland”.

“Sky-Piercing Mountain”.

And before you think about how come Dana was using a “partial domain” before putting in as much effort as the alfear princess Tessa had to, the reason is simple, Dana and the lioness’s “partial” wasn’t the same as the alfear princess’s one.

Tessa had actually managed to manifest, albeit only a part, what was confirmed to be a part of her Domain when she reaches the required level for that, that’s why it was “partial”.

Dana and the lioness on the other hand, did something more akin to make a rough sketch of what they might include or not in their domains, hence why it was “partial”, it’s worth mentioning that this is only possible thanks to the Blood Prison realm’s support, it’s similar to how Daimon and Sarah had their realms increased back at Kerrol, a singularity of this place which is of use to some only.

The amusing part is that while their partial domains were fiercely colliding on the air, those two gazed at the ground at the same time.

“Let’s continue our fight over there”, said the lioness as she descended from the sky, leaving behind the black lioness which has been following her so far, in the black mana grassland she had created.

“Mm”, Dana followed right away, similar to the lioness, the lightning tiger remained in the mountain that the little tiger had created.

As to why they were doing this, the answer is simple, if things remained the same, they will continue to tie over and over again, so they had decided to further increase the difficulty and for that they created a separate battlefield for their mana and energy, respectively.

In case you think that sounds crazy, well, these two’s fight was of a different nature so it must be judged from a different point of view, they were improving with each clash, so it was more of a competition for supremacy than a fight to the death.

“Black Lion Ruler Armor”, since they’ll be fighting at close combat, the lioness reinforced her body, cladding it in a black metal armor with a lion design.

“Lightning Tiger Blessing”, Dana answered in kind by using a new technique herself, one that resulted in her body being cladded in a translucent lightning energy armor which matched up with the thunder gauntlets, but without looking solid like them.

The reason is simple, darkness is easier to condense and solidify than lightning, so the lioness armor looked like a real metallic one, while Dana’s was more on the ethereal side.

“Boooom!”, those two moved at the same time as their mana and energy counterparts high into the sky, clashing head on the next second.

Dana started with a small jump to then punch the lioness on the face, only to see her fist being blocked by the enemy’s forearm, in response the lioness pushed the little tiger girl back with sheer force to then kick at her right side, making Dana raise her own leg to block the incoming attack.

“Clang!”, amidst the previous clashes, sparks and the sound of metals colliding echoed through the vicinity, followed by those two calling out their own spell and technique.

“Black Lion Bone Crushing Claws!”.

“Lightning Tiger Thunder Breaking Claws!”.

Those techniques weren’t activated on Dana and the lioness, but on the lightning tiger and the black lioness fighting above in the sky.

“Booooom!”, lightning and darkness particles fell like rain as the lioness and the tiger clashed against the other, all this while those two continued their fight.

The lioness stomped her right foot on the ground making it explode in black mana for a fraction of a second.

“Crack!”, for a moment Dana lost sight of the lioness as her speed gained a momentary burst, next Dana instinctively placed her arms in front of her just in time to block heavy punch that upon landing caused cracks to appear on the little tiger girl’s armor.

“Hsssss!”, but of course Dana isn’t one to not reciprocate with equal or greater force, her right foot exploded in yellow lighting as she kicked the lioness’s side, making both the armor on the lioness’s arm which she used to defend as well as the armor on her side to crack on the spot.

“Lightning Tiger Tail Thunder Breaking Axe!”.

“Black Lion Ruler Suppressing Charge!”.

As if mutually agreed, those two casted their technique and spell at the same time, making the lightning tiger and the black lioness in the sky attack each other with their tail and shoulder respectively.

“Roooooarrr!”, both the lioness and the tiger roared in response, the lightning slashing light on the tiger’s tail had opened a large wound on the left arm of the black lioness, while the black lioness had made the chest of the tiger to dent inwards due to the heavy impact.

Of course, the lioness and the tiger weren’t made out of flesh so there wasn’t any bloody scene caused by the previous, however the “wounds” remained as the energy and mana of each other invaded them, resulting in black and bright yellow scars to start appearing on them.

“Crack!”, the scene on the battlefield at ground level was even wilder, Dana just had the armor on her right hand explode when she punched at the lioness’s chest, also making the armor protecting the area of the impact, shatter on the spot.

“Boooom!”, in response, the lioness grabbed Dana by her left arm and smacked her against the ground, pieces of debris flew in every direction accompanied by lightning energy and black mana, the former coming from the cracks that appeared on the armor on Dana’s back while the latter was the result of Dana countering by shredding the whole armor protecting the arm with which the lioness had grabbed her, with her claws with a swift maneuver.

“Lightning Tiger Thunder Explosive Claws!”.

“Black Lion Ruler Dark Shadow Claws!”.

The tiger and the lioness charged frontwards and used their claws to pierce the body of the other, for the tiger, its claws created an explosion which blasted away the left half of the black lioness, a part of the black mana grassland was burned by Dana’s lightning energy on the spot, as for the black lioness its claws released black thorns that grew from the inside, tearing apart the right half of the tiger while also making a face of the lightning mountain crumble apart.

But then as the lioness and the little tiger girl were about to clash head on, a black horned skull emblem appeared on the neck of the lioness out of which black thorned chains emerged, to then start to wrap around the lioness’s body.
