Chapter 1873: Warm Conversations
Chapter 1873: Warm Conversations

The two spirits floated toward us. One resembled a lion cub, with red and golden fur and sharp black claws. The other was a floating egg with a crack, through which two eyes glanced out. The egg’s body was covered in scales of black and dark blue.
“Hmm, I… wait, I feel a connection with the kitten,” I said, patting its head. Then I realized, “Oh, this is from the Spirit Egg I gave you?!”
“Yeah, it is!” Aquarina nodded. “Pretty awesome, right? He became a whole spirit of his own, and he’s been growing. He’s of your Divinity Element—Fire and Thunder.”
“I don’t know how I forgot about that! Awesome!” I said with a smile. “Hello, little guy! So what name did you give him?”
“Leon,” Aquarina said. “And this one is Drakon. He’s the egg of an Oasis Wyrm we found. I made a familiar contract with it, and then it further evolved, gaining spiritual power by absorbing my energy. It’s become kind of like a spirit too, don’t you think?”
“Hmmm, now that I see him, you’re not wrong. He’s quite special… Reminds me of Furoh. He’s also begun to gain more and more Spiritual Traits,” I nodded. “I guess the longer a Familiar is bonded, the more it transforms and becomes similar to Spirits. Though, I wonder why that’s the case? …Now let me go, please.”
“Haha, why? I like it like this~” Aquarina giggled.
“Aquarina, you’re going to embarrass me in front of all the people in the city…” I sighed, as she apologized and finally let go of me.
“Haha, sorry, sorry… there you go,” she said, letting me stand on the grass once more. “Anyway, I don’t really know the specifics myself, but I believe the other spirits we contract may influence them too…”
“It also has to do with them gaining Spiritual Energy and Elemental Mana from their masters,” Alice explained. “Just as I became a Spirit myself for the same reasons, Sylphy—it was because I gained that energy and new form from you.”
“The same is true for me,” Yggdra added. “I was an Eden Apple Tree before, but thanks to my contract with you, and by absorbing spiritual energy and mana from you and the environment, I eventually gained spiritual power.”
“Interesting…” I nodded. “Does that mean Red is also becoming spiritual?”
I looked at Red’s Status.

Yep, he had been growing steadily with each Rank Up—two in a row—and his stats were already higher than my other Spirits when they were at his Rank. His new Skills were quite interesting too.
Through his many battles, he showcased the ability to consume magic spells or attacks from monsters, weakening or negating them entirely. This is why he learned the [Magic Eater] Skill.
He was also able to bite and drain the blood of monsters to regain energy, stamina, and demonic power, developing the [Lifeforce Vampirism] Skill.
Then his third copy was born, capable of conjuring red and black fire, while the fourth had a super long tongue coated in venomous drool. These abilities became the [Cursed Demon Fire] and [Poisonous Demonic Tongue] Skills.
“He doesn’t look quite spiritual to me yet…” Aquarina said. “Doesn’t he, Undine?”
“No, this is a Demonic Beast. I believe they work under different rules. Although it is quite strong and… adorable, I doubt it can absorb spirit energy. It would likely try to devour it instead,” Alice said, looking at Red with interest. “He is a very special creature. I don’t know much about True Demons, but I analyzed their DNA composition some time ago with Felicia’s help, and we discovered something within their DNA Memory—images of their own world.”
“Wait, what?!” Aquarina gasped. “Felicia knows about you? I mean, of course she doesn’t, but…”
“I forgot to tell you…” I sat on the grass, watching our familiars interact, talk, and play across the grasslands. “Master Felicia… somehow, saw right through me!”
“Eh?” Aquarina was perplexed. “W-What? How?”
“I don’t know! She just did…” I said, looking down. “I mean, I think I know how. Her eyes are very special; she was born with an ability to see through all things—the elements that compose this world. They’re called… God Eyes or something. It’s a rare mutation, one in a billion people. This also seems deeply connected to her great affinity with Alchemy, as she can use it to shape the elements around her, even particles that compose the world or space itself.”
“…” Aquarina was left speechless, realizing there were still many wonders out there. “Well, that’s quite something… And she wasn’t mad or anything?”
“Why would she be? She was just curious,” I said. “But things were resolved quickly, and she seems to have kept it a secret from Dad.”
Thankfully, she couldn’t see through my memories and learn I reincarnated from another world. Phew… Because if that were the case, I have no idea what would happen to my life, how people would react, and so on.
I mean, it’s not like it matters much now, right? I’ve lived longer in this world than in the other, and I’m enjoying this life thoroughly, while always hoping for the best for the family I left behind there.
“Well, I’m glad things got resolved just fine. I got a little worried, but maybe I shouldn’t have,” Aquarina smiled. “Anyway, is that the city? Wow, it’s huge! It’s no longer just a village, huh? It has so many more houses than I remember… a bigger wall and… a lot of other buildings—and a giant tree! Wait, is that you, Yggdra? How?”
