Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1864: Crestenium Park

Chapter 1864: Crestenium Park

After eating so much, Aquarina and I felt completely exhausted… and it was still pretty early in the morning! So we decided to rest a little from all the pastries and hot chocolate we’d had at the nearby plaza. Yes, there was a plaza in Evercraft—even though we were inside a huge city carved into an even bigger cave within a massive mountain filled with several dungeons.

The plaza was massive, called Plaza Crestenium. It mostly had grass, trees, and everything you’d expect in a park-like area, even though it was inside a busy city. How did these plants survive inside a cave, with snow outside? Well, through magic.

The entire park was covered with Sunlight Stones, which were like lesser versions of the Sunstones we found in Cloudia. They can be mined inside dungeons or in the vast mines of these mountains and are kind of like Spirit Stones that contain Sunlight Energy.

They’re not that rare in certain dungeons that already have sunlight inside. In fact, those dungeons are where this country also harvests and grows its own vegetables and fruits—and even raises some cattle.

However, the space inside dungeons is limited. They aren’t like mine, so they still buy a lot of their food and other products from the Elven Kingdom, which they technically belong to as a sort of vassal nation—or an independent state still connected to the Kingdom.

Thanks to this connection—where, well, the Elven King, my grandpa, quite literally owns this entire place—they trade products easily through teleportation devices and airships. Their economy is strong because trade prices between both groups are reduced by fifty percent!

The Elves need all the precious stones, ores, and metals mined here, along with monster materials and the Dwarves’ creations. Meanwhile, the Dwarves rely on the food harvested in the incredibly vast and fertile farmlands of the Elven Kingdom.

Anyway, I went a little off-topic there. But yes, this park is illuminated by Sunlight Stones that keep the plants alive. I also sensed Spirit Stone Dust beneath the soil, keeping the plants healthy and full of energy. They were all magical or spirit plants too—beautiful and glowing even in the darker areas of the city. It was an amazing tourist spot I couldn’t let Aquarina and her parents miss.

“Woah, this place is beautiful! Are these all Spirit or Magical Plants?” Aquarina asked, looking around.

“Yep, that’s right,” I nodded with a confident smile. “This is Crestenium Plaza—or Park. We come here regularly to hang out, relax, and sometimes have a picnic with our master… though we kind of have to drag her out of her room. She gets too caught up in her research.”

“She also doesn’t take baths for whole months! Heheh, she’s stinky,” giggled Celica, as Master Felicia blushed in embarrassment and glared at us angrily.

“H-Hey! What’s that?! How can you say such lies about your dear master, you mischievous brats?!” she panicked. Her old friends were all here—she didn’t want to look weird.

…Especially since they all looked more accomplished in life than she’d ever been, with kids and marriages and everything.

Things Master hasn’t done at all, which sometimes worries her, I think.

“Hahah, so you’re still the same old bookworm, huh?” Nepheline teased. “Is she always in her own little world?”

“A bit…!” Celica nodded.

“She’s getting a little better now that we force her to come outside sometimes…” Celeste sighed. “Right, Ruby?”

“Ah, yeah… I wouldn’t be so disrespectful to her though…” Ruby muttered. “I think Master is… fine the way she is.”

“Ruby! Y-You’re the only good girl here…” Felicia shed a little tear. “These girls are going to be the end of me, I swear…”

“Hahah, they’re fine. They’re young. We were like them when we were younger, right?” my father said.

“I suppose so,” Shade nodded. “Though Felicia was already old, wasn’t she? These years… like Faylen’s, have meant nothing to them.”

“Uuh, so that means she was this way even before we met? Wow,” Nepheline said, giving her a judgmental glare.

“D-Don’t look at me like that! I like my life!” Felicia said, clearly embarrassed.

“Haha, it’s okay Master, you’re awesome,” I said, noticing Aquarina looking confused. “I’ll tell you more about her later… or well, you’ll find out on your own.”

“Eh?” she blinked, a little confused—but yeah, she’ll find out on her own.

“This entire plaza is nice too! Lots of grass to walk barefoot on!” Nepheline said, tossing away her sandals. “Don’t you think, Aquarina? Esmeralda, do you want to crawl around?”

“Wawaahh!” Esmeralda leapt out of Nepheline’s arms like a kitten, landing on all fours and running toward a tree, climbing it.

Wow, Amazonian kids were really something…

I don’t remember Aquarina being this wild though—her sister definitely has a strong personality.

“I guess I could give it a go,” Aquarina nodded, taking off her sandals and placing her feet on the grass. “Hmm, it’s cold and nice! Sylphy, don’t you want to try?”

“Huh? I mean… I suppose elves of the past did walk barefoot in the forest…” I nodded. “Sure.”

I shrugged. I didn’t really understand the point, but I did it anyway so she wouldn’t feel bad. And indeed…

The grass was quite refreshing to the soles of my feet—cold and nice.

Weirdly enough, it made me feel more relaxed. I guess it has something to do with “feeling connected to the earth” or something.

Also, there’s lots of Mana and Spirit Energy underground, so it really makes you feel cozy.

“Feels nice, right?” Aquarina giggled, placing her foot over mine. Her feet were much smaller than mine.

“Yep, it’s nice!” I giggled. “I usually don’t care much, but I guess you like it?”

“It’s kind of a thing about being connected to the earth…” she said. “I’ve found that Amazonians are very attuned to this element, so we feel better when we walk barefoot. But I guess we still wear sandals on rough terrain, or out of courtesy inside other homes. Hmmm, though I’m so tough I doubt my feet would ever get damaged from walking barefoot.”
