Chapter 1820: A Goddess Descends

“WE’RE NOT DONE YET!”

“THAT’S RIGHT!”

Justicio and Silvia rushed forward, their armor interlocking and combining as they held hands while moving forward. Their Auras fused, combining the two of them into a miraculous transformation. Their bonds reinforced their powers, as Khepri’s mechanical armor and Justicio’s insectoid armor merged into a massive humanoid insectoid made of rainbow and golden steel, with gigantic rainbow-colored wings, rushing forward with a massive axe and a hammer.

“RAAAAAHHHH!”

The two enormous weapons broke through Armageddon’s desperate divine barrier, shattering it apart, and then rushed through her body, tearing off her left arm and leg, and a piece of her head. Brains and jaws splattered everywhere as her green blood was burned by her own flames.

CRAAAASH!

“UUUGGGHHHHH?! IMPOSSIBLE!”

Armageddon groaned in agony and despair. Her body quickly tried to regenerate from the tremendous damage she had taken, only for Quetzal to appear, completely different, roaring like a feral beast, having transformed into his Divine Beast form and further merged with the ornaments.

Quetzal rushed through the goddess’s body, using his giant metallic wings to slice through her, cleaving through several pieces of her and even another part of her head, while destroying her armor and her attempts at manifesting another barrier.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

“Aquarina!”

“I got it!”

Agua and Aquarina rushed forward, holding hands. Their Auras merged perfectly into one, as their power further fused. Tethys’s mechanical trident fused with Aquarina’s [Heavenly Oceanus Trident] Skill, creating a gigantic azure trident of steel and spiritual azure water, piercing Armageddon’s chest and, at the same time, her Divine Core and Soul.

CRAAAASH!

Armageddon screamed in horror, her entire body leaking divine power everywhere. Her eyes, which had just regenerated, were widened in utter disbelief, as a giant hole through her chest and soul was now there.

“Impo… ssible… No…! NOOOOO!!!”

With a monstrous scream, her divine power went completely out of control, directing her last anger at everyone. She detonated her Divine Spirit Realm in one last attempt to take everyone with her.

BOOOMMM!!!

At that moment, everything became white.

.

.

.

“Huh?”

Aquarina slowly opened her eyes, finding herself floating in a completely white space… In the distance, she could see large cracks in space glitching, devouring the whiteness surrounding her.

“Where… am I?”

As she quickly regained her consciousness, she looked around, finding her friends and her parents floating in this strange limbo, unconscious.

“D-Did I die?”

She realized her divine protection had been activated. It seemed she was able to withstand the explosion, saving her friends in the process, even if it had cost her life…

“Is it… over then?”

As she felt relieved, suddenly, a voice interrupted.

“It’s not over… you damned worm!”

“Eh?!”

Aquarina’s eyes widened as a giant red claw grabbed her neck and lifted her up.

“Damn it…!”

Armageddon was there, in her smallest, weakest form, resembling a humanoid blazing red ant queen, only twice Aquarina’s size.

She looked immensely weakened but was still holding on, alive…

“I’ll make sure to devour your soul… I’ll get back all the power I lost…! Heheh… HAHAHAHA!”

“No…! Ugh…!”

Aquarina tried to call for help, but nobody answered, and her familiars were all knocked out as well.

She was tremendously weakened, with barely any Mana left…

“There’s nothing you can do now…! I’ll absorb your powers. Just watch as you wither and die!”

“Aaaaggghh!”

Aquarina screamed as she felt her powers being siphoned by this monster.

“No…! I can’t…!”

“I can’t die here!”

“Are you kidding me?!”

“After everything…!”

“Sylphy…!”

“SYLPHY!”

As Aquarina cried, calling for her, a miracle occurred.

Suddenly, against all odds, a change occurred.

“What?!”

Armageddon’s eyes widened as a ray of crimson and golden light descended from the skies, piercing her body with a powerful thunderbolt.

BOOOM!

“Uuaaaghh!”

From the impact of the thunderbolt, her body was sent flying away with a hole in her chest.

“Impossible…! W-What is this?! WHO ARE YOU?!”

In front of her, holding Aquarina in her arms, a divine avatar had manifested.

Through the power of {Goddess Descent}, it appeared.

It was a goddess like nothing Armageddon had ever seen, young, with pointy elven ears, glowing green eyes, long crimson hair, and a small stature despite her divine power.

Her beauty was unparalleled, and despite that, she also had freckles on her face, showing she was more mortal than divine.

“S-Sylphy…? You… You came…”

Aquarina gazed as her goddess held her tightly, healing her body with her divine powers.

FLASH!

“Yes, I’m here… Why didn’t you call me earlier?”

“I’m sorry… I just wanted to prove myself…”

“Geez, what am I going to do with you?”

“I DON’T CARE WHO YOU ARE! IT’S ALL THE SAME! DIE!”

Armageddon released her Divinity, rushing toward the new goddess with all her power at full strength.

She was confident she could destroy a simple Divine Avatar and devour her powers, furthering her growth and evolution!

And yet…

“Stand back.”

The goddess spoke once, as her aura erupted. Thunder, Fire, and Nature mixed together, as trees made of golden thunder and flames manifested around her.

In that moment, the trees moved, their branches made of lightning and flames reaching Armageddon and…

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

Piercing her body, impaling her from every angle!

“A-Aaaggh…! W-Wha… What…?!”

Armageddon couldn’t believe it as the goddess slowly walked toward her, wearing a white dress, as her long red hair waved majestically.

She looked at Armageddon with her sharp, emerald eyes, filled with righteous fury.

“Know your place.”

“Huh?!”

CRASH!

“G-Guuuaggh?!”

The insectoid goddess vomited blood as the young goddess pierced her chest with her hand, grasping at her soul.

And then, in disbelief, Armageddon saw as the young goddess’s aura turned into a gigantic draconic head, devouring her whole.

“A-Aaah… Just what… JUST WHAT ARE YOU?! UUAAAAAGGHHHHH!”

CRUNCH!

And then, at that moment, Armageddon was no more.

Upon devouring her, the young goddess felt even more powerful, her divinity elevating even further…

She quickly expanded her Divine Domain everywhere, as trees encompassed the surroundings and then reached the real world outside.

FLAAASH!

Everyone within this Divine Realm was healed and embraced by the trees, which grew everywhere in the real world, turning this volcanic landscape into a beautiful, gigantic forest.

“Sylphy…! Thank you…” Aquarina sighed. “I wish I could’ve… been able to beat that thing…”

“It’s fine, everyone did really well. I just came at the end to make sure she wouldn’t cheat,” Sylphy smiled gently, kissing Aquarina’s lips, leaving her resting near the largest tree. “I have to go now.”

“So soon?!” Aquarina complained.

“Yep, this descent thing doesn’t even last that long, you know?” Sylphy said with a giggle. “So hurry up and come back to me soon! I’ll be waiting for you!”

“Alright… I’ll hurry and go meet you, in the flesh!” Aquarina nodded as she saw Sylphy wave her hands and disappear in a pillar of light.

As Aquarina saw her goddess disappear, she realized the forest remained, and her parents had already awakened.

“Ah, damn it… how do I even explain this to them now?”
