Chapter 1744 1744: Goodbye For Now
—–
The egg glanced at Aquarina while squinting its visible eyes. Although it trembled a little, it still allowed Aquarina to touch its body.
FLUOSH!
Aquarina injected her Mana into the egg, letting it devour almost all her current reserves, which exhausted her slightly.
Sylphy then touched her shoulders, giving her all the Mana she needed.
This way, her Mana would pass through Aquarina and carry her “taste,” ensuring the egg would recognize its food as coming from Aquarina instead.
“Like this… yeah, well done.”
In just two minutes, the process was complete, and the egg had suddenly become much friendlier with Aquarina, trusting her.
“Hey! You aren’t that bad, huh?” Aquarina giggled as she petted the egg gently and carefully. “Wow, you sure are a smooth egg though!”
“Gryyuhh!”
However, the egg angrily swatted her hand and flew a few meters away from her.
“Ouch! Hey, what’s wrong with you?!”
As Aquarina groaned angrily, she heard Sylphy giggling.
“Heheh, I guess you’ll still have a difficult relationship with him. Well, that’s all up to you now, Aquarina,” Sylphy said. “But I think he might be able to help you a lot when you, your family, and your friends fight that monster you told me about.”
“Ah yeah… Is this dream ending soon? It feels like the air is getting… thicker?” Aquarina wondered.
“Yes, it is slowly fading away now… Well, it lasted for over thirty minutes, so I’m really satisfied…” Sylphy said with a gentle smile.
“Sylphy…”
Aquarina walked toward her and hugged her, lifting her up with her strong arms.
“Will I see you soon?” she wondered.
“Well, that depends on you…” Sylphy said. “If you can finish off the inheritance quickly, you should be allowed to come see me at the Blue Mountains. I am still learning a lot of things with Master Felicia. I doubt she’ll let me go until this year’s end.”
“I see… I guess I’ll have to work hard then!” Aquarina nodded as she quickly kissed her girlfriend on the lips again. “I know this is a dream but… can we kiss until it ends?”
“Aquarina… Okay~” Sylphy smiled. “I love you.”
The two girls kissed passionately, savoring every moment together.
The little flying egg noticed something as the entire world around them began to slowly fade into particles of light.
The beautiful blue sky.
The green grasslands.
The forests in the distance.
The lake.
FLASH!
It all faded away faster and faster.
As Sylphy felt her girlfriend’s lips and Aquarina felt hers, the warmth slowly began to fade.
“It’s time, Aquarina…”
Sylphy separated her lips from her girlfriend as she looked at her with a gentle smile.
“Wait! Not yet…!”
Aquarina hugged her back as if wishing she wouldn’t vanish.
However, it was inevitable. This was only a dream.
Sylphy’s body began to rapidly disappear.
“Wait…!”
Aquarina started crying out of nowhere.
“Sylphy!”
Sylphy shed a few tears as she kissed Aquarina’s forehead.
“I know you can do it, Aquarina. You’re a strong girl. See you soon!”
“Sylphy…!”
As Aquarina burst into tears, she saw Sylphy’s face disappear into particles of light, leaving her with nothing but darkness.
“Ahh…”
In that moment, Aquarina felt hollow.
After thinking she had overcome her need for Sylphy, after meeting her inside a dream for barely a few minutes…
She already missed her so much she could cry a river!
“I really… can’t stop missing you…”
As she fell to her knees and sighed…
…
“Ah!”
Her eyes opened as Aquarina heard the chirping of birds outside the window of the guest room where she was staying.
“…”
She looked at the window, the sun shining brightly.
It was another morning, like always.
Another day without her.
“Hah…”
Aquarina touched her lips but couldn’t feel anything.
It was as if she had never been there, as if she had never met or touched her.
But she had, inside a dream.
And dreams, unfortunately, are not reality.
“I know you can do it, Aquarina. You’re a strong girl. See you soon!”
However, Sylphy’s words lingered in her mind, making Aquarina furrow her eyebrows and nod.
She quickly grabbed her long white hair, tied it into a ponytail, walked out of bed, and began doing morning stretches and exercises.
“I have to work hard… I have to get this done already…! That monster, then the inheritance, and I can see her again… I have to persevere… Just a month or two more, Sylphy! Please… wait for me!”
While exercising, her familiars appeared, and Aquarina was able to chat with them and relax some more. As she began sweating and felt refreshed, she suddenly saw a huge figure appear by her side.
“Oh? Hey, you’re awake! Good morning to you too, little one.”
“Gyuuhhh!”
It was the Wyrm’s Egg.
“Wait, what name should I give you?”

Back at her home, Sylphy slowly opened her emerald eyes, looking around her room.
Celica and Celeste were there, along with most of her spirits.
“How did it go, Sylphy? Did you see Aquarina?” Celica wondered.
“Yep! She was fine and going through some challenges, but I left her a gift…” Sylphy nodded. “I’m glad she’s doing alright!”
“Sylphy…” Celeste muttered, surprised.
“Hm? W-What’s wrong?” Sylphy wondered.
Sylphy noticed a little too late that her eyes were brimming with tears.
“Ah…”
“It’s alright, it won’t be for too long… I’m sure you’ll meet her soon!” Celica said, walking to her side.
“Yeah… take it easy,” Celeste nodded.
“I’m taking it easy, hahah… I don’t know why I was crying…” Sylphy muttered. “Aw… Maybe I just really missed her, huh?”
As Sylphy wiped her tears with a handkerchief, she noticed something: a small mass of rainbow-colored spiritual energy.
“Huh?”
It had some blue and black particles, reminiscent of Aquarina.
“What’s this?”
It slowly took the shape of a little Aquarina, fitting in the palm of her hand.
“Awah! Awahahaha!”
And the little thing giggled.
Celica, Celeste, and Sylphy were left speechless.
“EEEEH?!”
It turns out Aquarina had also left a little gift for her, unintentionally.
