Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1743 1743: A Developing Spirit?

“A-Ah right… I’ve been kissing a tree this entire time! Hahaha!” Aquarina laughed a bit, and Sylphy quickly joined in.

“Pfff! Tree kisser!” Sylphy laughed. “A-Anyway, I think your new power will begin developing pretty soon!”

“Really? And this egg…?” Aquarina wondered. “I guess it still has some months before hatching, right?”

“Hmm, I think it might not need to hatch to help you out yet,” Sylphy said. “Remember Ignatius? He was an egg before, right?”

“R-Right…” Aquarina said. “But he was a Spirit, so it doesn’t apply, right?”

“Well, this little Wyrm here has absorbed so many new powers, plus my divine blessings and all. He’ll surely become more than a monster. He might become a Spiritual Beast! It’s what Furoh’s been turning into lately. Pyuku, after making this contract with you, has also gained a lot of Spirit abilities without realizing. You could say any Monster we contract, that isn’t a spirit at the beginning, will eventually develop Spiritual Powers and become at least a Spiritual Beast. Did you know?”

“Eh?! That sounds cool…” Aquarina said. “So this little guy will help me out then? Huh? Wait, where’s the egg at?”

As Aquarina and Sylphy noticed the egg was gone, they heard a little roar.

“Raaaawwrrr!”

They looked high in the sky, where the egg floated around.

The Wyrm fetus had yet to fully develop, and with each new energy, it took longer to adapt.

However, its consciousness had awakened completely, and like Ignatius, it had gained the partial ability to move even as an egg.

The egg, unlike Ignatius, was as enormous as its original form. Ignatius was no bigger than a melon, but the Wyrm egg was definitely over half a meter.

It released particles of rainbow light, black clouds, and azure water-like essence as it floated.

Two tiny cracks on the egg revealed the Wyrm’s deep red eyes and nothing else, with big frown-like marks on the multicolored shell.

“A-Amazing! It’s moving already?!” Aquarina was shocked.

“Yep, looks like it worked!” Sylphy celebrated. “You’ll get an amazing companion with this one, Aquarina! I’m sure about it.”

“Oh wow… Sylphy, I don’t even know how to repay you for all of this…” Aquarina sighed. “I wish I could do something myself…”

“Nah, it’s alright! I know you needed more help. As you said, I’m pretty comfy so far. Ah, right, there’s this new hero I’m helping, Ruby! She’s a sweet girl! She’s a red oni and a dwarf, pretty cool right?” Sylphy said. “She’s the hero of the blacksmith hammer or fire… I-I don’t remember the title.”

“Oh, right, you did say there was a new hero in that town you were going…” Aquarina nodded with surprise. “Is she strong?”

“Eh, well, she had a lot of hidden potential, but at the beginning, not too much,” Sylphy said. “That was fixed pretty damn quickly though. Once I gave her a System Seed and dad got her two Spirits, she has been growing super-fast this last year! We’ve been going to dungeons, gathering materials, hunting monsters, making stuff with alchemy, and training with Master Felicia. I was relieved that she took her as a disciple pretty quickly. But I guess it was a given, seeing how amazing her talents are!”

“I-I see…” Aquarina felt a tinge of jealousy after hearing Sylphy talk so much about Ruby, but she decided to calm down, not think about it, and just be happy instead of acting dumb over it. “That’s amazing! I can’t wait to meet her… I hope we could become friends?”

“Of course! She’ll happily be your friend, I’m sure! I’ve talked to her about you,” Sylphy said. “And of all our friends as well… She often says she can’t wait to join us in an adventure outside the mountains.”

“Aww, well, I guess she’s kinda cute,” Aquarina giggled. “Another hero to the party, huh? Since Lara and Luck, I haven’t found anyone else. I wonder where the others might be?”

“Hmm, probably in the Human Continent… We’ll have to check them out much later though,” Sylphy said. “For now, we should see what your egg can do! Eggy! Come here! Hey!”

“Raaawwr?”

The egg stopped flying around, its aura of three colors shining brightly, suddenly swirling around its own body.

Then, with a little poof of colorful clouds, it descended, reaching Aquarina and Sylphy, and looked at both of them.

“Well, hello there, buddy! Remember me? I guess you don’t? But I’m your master…” Aquarina said, trying to pet the egg.

“Gyuuugah!”

However, the little egg quickly let out a groan, flying away from Aquarina’s hands.

“E-Eh?! Wait, does he remember that I…?!”

Aquarina thought the worst, believing the baby knew she was the one who hunted down its mother.

However, Sylphy caught the egg, petting it.

“Gyyyyhhh?!”

The egg was also surprised, but Sylphy’s Aura slowly calmed it down, as the egg began to absorb her Mana for nourishment, enhancing its spiritual powers.

“Calm down, there, there… Don’t worry. It’s not like that, Aquarina. The baby is just a bit scared of everything. It must be surprised by where he is and all,” Sylphy said. She looked like a saintess as she petted the flying egg.

“O-Oh…” Aquarina muttered, slowly walking toward the egg. “So… Do you hate me?”

“Gyyaaah!” The egg let out a slightly loud groan.

“Feed him with your Mana so he gets comfortable with you. Now that it is a Spiritual Being too, it can feed from it,” Sylphy explained.

“O-Okay…” Aquarina said, approaching with her hand.

“Shyeeeh!”

However, the egg hissed at her, making Aquarina doubt if this was possible.

“S-Sylphy, he’s way too angry!” she cried, crossing her arms.

“Calm down, do it slowly, Aquarina,” Sylphy said. “There, there…”

As she patted and caressed the egg, Aquarina slowly moved her hand toward the egg.

Instead of going from above, she moved her hand from below, to not seem too threatening.

“…”

The egg glanced at Aquarina, its visible eyes squinting. Although it trembled a little, it still allowed Aquarina to touch its body.

FLUOSH!
