Chapter 833 - 833: Heaven’s Fall
Artemisia’s goal was to get Faulin out of the Solar System, far enough that any celestial body destruction wouldn’t affect Aidos in any way, and she chose a rather forceful means to achieve this.
Suddenly, Faulin’s energy spiked and he raised his hands, catching her fists before throwing a counter to her face.
Dodging it, she grabbed his outstretched arm and pulled on it, dragging his body closer before throwing her leg up to his stomach and kicking him away.
You’re persistent, I’ll give you that.
…
Faulin said no words, looking at his Deity Level rapidly approaching 200 as he launched himself at her, throwing out a fist that collided with hers in an impact that blew both of them away.
Artemisia blitzed in behind him, throwing a rapid flurry of punches, her left fist blazing with flames while the lightning on her right detonated those flames, sending shockwaves through Faulin’s body.
The impacts sent him hurtling into a rogue planet that was silently drifting in the void, crashing with enough force to momentarily halt the planet’s movement.
Heavenly Chains!
Countless chains erupted from the ground and snaked towards Artemisia but she snapped them with a mere flex of divinity, charging towards the celestial and grabbing him by the throat.
She threw a punch with her other hand, sending him crashing into the ground and carving out a massive crater.
Just asking but…are you going to talk?
Faulin’s eyes were filled with both determination and desperation. With a roar, he unleashed “Heaven’s Glory,” a massive explosion of celestial energy that enveloped the entire planet and obliterated it.
***KAAABOOOMMMM!!!!
When the blinding light of the planet’s destruction faded, Artemisia’s unscathed form was revealed with a small frown on her face.
It was a small change in her expression, but considering she was one who usually had none of those, it reflected how annoyed she was now.
As such, she didn’t hold herself back anymore.
Royal Evolution Authority.
!? How can you use…!
Faulin reacted when she activated this, his eyes widened in disbelief as he never expected her to use this.
‘Does she not care about hiding her power anymore?!’
Artemisia did not miss his change in expression, and she only needed a few seconds of deliberation to know that the man didn’t think she’d use her Ultimate.
The problem was why he thought that.
Why did Faulin know she was hiding her power?
You know a lot considering you were trapped on Aidos for millennia…
Faulin didn’t answer and conjured a giant spear of celestial energy, before turning around and running.
Indeed, Faulin ran as he knew that Artemisia with her Ultimate activated was the worst thing for him right now.
Because from this point on, each hit from Artemisia would carry the energy of the law of evolution.
Her strikes would infuse the law’s power into his body, and unless Artemisia suddenly ran mad, there was no way that law energy would Evolve him.
Which meant it’d only do the opposite. Devolution.
This was why Artemisia was a very scary opponent for most.
Even a casual punch that’d only deal 5 units of damage out of one’s 1000 units of Health, was dangerous because it’d reverse the ‘Evolution’ you had gone through to reach your current stage of power.
Every single hit regressed your Evolution, so it was just up to how strong you were to reduce the effects of the regression.
Coupled with an Ultimate skill that could only be resisted by other Ultimates, Faulin couldn’t see a path to victory.
Artemisia caught Faulin’s “Heaven’s Spear” with her bare hands, snapping it in two before hurling the pieces back at him and forcing him to dodge frantically.
Heaven’s Cataclysm!!!
Faulin’s voice echoed through the void as he unleashed the cataclysmic wave of destruction law energy that tore through the fabric of space.
In response, Artemisa conjured a golden shield of light that deflected the cataclysmic wave, before closing the distance in an instant and delivering a series of devastating light-speed punches.
Deity Level 236
Each blow sent shockwaves through Faulin’s body, driving him back further into the void. He tried to fight back, but her attacks were relentless, her divine flames and lightning tearing through his defences like they weren’t even there.
Deity Level 230
Faulin released a burst of energy to knock her away, but Artemisia didn’t budge an inch. She grabbed him and bashed him through a series of asteroids being held by the gravity of Aidos’ sun despite the distance.
The man roared and unleashed every “Heavenly” attack he had, but Artemisia countered each one with precise divinity manipulation.
Heaven’s Shield was shattered in a single punch, her fist driving into his torso and shaking his internal organs all around.
Deity Level 215
She followed up with a blast of golden flames that engulfed him, scorching his body. He tried to retaliate with “Heaven’s Blade,” a sword of pure law energy, but she disarmed him with a swift kick and delivered a devastating uppercut that sent him flying.
Deity Level 208
Despite being battered and bloodied, Faulin refused to give up. He absorbed ambient energy into his body to try to counteract her skill, consuming some to unleash “Heaven’s Wrath”.
The storm of celestial energy surged towards Artemisia but the goddess punched through it with her left hand, her fist connecting with his chest and sending him crashing into a distant planet.
Deity Level 202
Artemisia was right behind him, her hand grabbing his head and driving him through the planet, bursting out of the other end and throwing him onto its moon.
Reaching out, she wrapped the second smaller moon with her divinity and hurled the celestial body at Faulin, forcing the man to run as fast as he could to avoid being crushed between the two moons.
Between two moons, huh? Got it. I know how I’d kill you now.
Her decision made, she darted towards Faulin, leaving a trail of blazing golden flames and crackling lightning as she closed the distance in an instant and connected her right fist with his jaw.
Deity Level: 198
The impact sent him across the surface of one of the moons still colliding, but she didn’t let up, following with a kick to his ribs, shattering his bones and driving the breath from his lungs. Concluding this combo, she delivered a crushing elbow to his sternum.
Deity Level: 190
Faulin staggered back, clutching his chest. He attempted a “Heavenly Strike” but Artemisia deflected it with a flick of her wrist, closed in and delivered a series of rapid punches. Each blow was precise and devastating, breaking his nose, shattering his cheekbones, and knocking teeth from his mouth.
Deity Level: 175
She shifted her stance, applying her martial arts knowledge to target his pressure points and render his limbs useless.
A spinning backfist connected with his temple, disorienting him. She followed up with a powerful knee to his midsection, crushing his lungs and sending him gasping for air.
Deity Level: 142
She executed a series of joint locks and throws, slamming him into the ground repeatedly. His celestial energy flickered and waned, unable to keep up defences against her relentless assault.
Deity Level: 115
Artemisia’s strikes became even more ferocious. A roundhouse kick to his head sent him spinning through the void, only to be caught mid-flight by her lightning-encased hand. She pulled him back and delivered a bone-crunching punch to his spine, the impact reverberating through his entire body.
Deity Level: 98
Artemisia grabbed his arm, twisted it behind his back, and dislocated his shoulder with a sharp snap. Her left fist, engulfed in golden flames, slammed into his chest, scorching his flesh and searing his insides.
Deity Level: 73
She lifted his body and ascended, flinging it up before raining punches down on his face, sending blood and teeth flying with each strike.
Deity Level: 50
Without hesitation, the woman kicked him in the groin, then grabbed his legs and flung him in the direction of the planet whose moons she destroyed earlier.
I know I said ‘Between two moons’, but let’s up the scale a bit, shall we?
With those words, Artemisia unleashed her hold on her divinity, releasing her full power which quickly attracted the attention of every single deity in the Galaxy.
On Earth V, Vincent and Kristene felt it; on Gozon, Ginaroad sensed it; even Aphine and Canis, lightyears away on distant, unnamed planets, were taken aback.
Artemisia was fully aware of their reactions—she had intended for them to sense her power.
It was a clear message to the Old gods, a declaration of her newfound supremacy. She was essentially warning them not to try anything stupid with her again.
‘I can’t have Evan enter the stage with those fools still messing around.’
Such a thought crossed her mind as she activated one of her strongest Unique Skills.
Tempest Avatar.
In an instant, her divinity surged and condensed, forming an enormous, humanoid avatar composed entirely of crackling lightning.
This colossal figure floated behind her, mimicking her every movement. Its sheer size was awe-inspiring, dwarfing even the largest celestial bodies in its vicinity.
The Tempest Avatar reached out with one immense hand, grasping the planet where Faulin had fallen as effortlessly as one might pick up a basketball.
Reaching out with her right hand, Artemisia had the Avatar destroy the gravitational and magnetic fields of the nearby planet, before lifting it.
Her eyes locked onto the battered and bleeding Faulin, who was struggling to stand amid the crater he had fallen into.
…
Silently, Artemisia clasped her palms together and the Avatar mirrored her actions, bringing the two planets together in a cataclysmic collision.
She crushed Faulin between them in an explosion of light and energy that rippled through space, before turning her gaze to the side and muttering.
“Now then, back to Aidos.”
