Without waiting for anyone, he brought both of them into space and kept rushing towards the Sun.

A tunnel of fire stretched behind them, following just after the two.

Morningstar’s hand remained clamped around Himmel’s face.

His fingers dug deep into his skull, refusing to let him move even an inch.

The coldness of space made Himmel shudder. His breathing was ragged and blocked.

’Arghgh!!!’

Himmel struggled to free himself from the grip of the First Dragon.

His broken arm smashed against Morningstar’s wrist.

CRACK!

The blow carried enough force to pulverise mountains.

However, Morningstar was too hate-driven to even react.

"You..." His voice was little more than a hateful growl that rang in Himmel’s mind. "Do you have any idea how long I have waited for this?"

Using his experience in the void of space, the First Dragon did not hesitate to accelerate again.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Himmel’s damaged body screamed in protest.

His regeneration struggled desperately to keep up as the violent acceleration threatened to tear him apart.

Even still, his bloodshot eyes, filled with hatred, never left Morningstar’s face.

Morningstar noticed the lack of fear in his eyes, which unnerved him even more.

"...Just like him." Morningstar’s expression twisted. "I hated those eyes."

Without warning, he slammed his forehead into Himmel’s.

BOOOOOOOM!!!

Blood exploded between them. Himmel’s vision blurred, yet he refused to lose consciousness.

The blazing star rapidly grew larger in Morningstar’s eyes.

In his desperation, Himmel tried to summon his daughters once again, but he couldn’t.

His working hand snapped back, and Naraka appeared in it.

Using the pointed spear at the top of Naraka, Himmel aimed for Morningstar’s eye.

Its razor-sharp tip reflected the blazing light of the approaching Sun as it thrust straight toward the First Dragon’s remaining eye.

Morningstar instinctively tilted his head.

The spear scraped across his face.

CRAAAAACK!!!

A deep gash tore from his forehead to his cheek, narrowly missing his eye.

Blood floated into the vacuum like countless crimson pearls.

"...You little!!"

Morningstar spun in space and threw Himmel’s body far ahead.

He then sped up and slammed into Himmel’s already broken body.

Every rib remaining inside Himmel’s chest shattered.

Blood erupted from his mouth as his spine bent into an impossible arc.

The impact accelerated him even further.

The Sun rapidly filled his vision. The unbearable heat reached him long before the star itself.

His skin began to blister. His clothes blackened and turned to ash.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The First Dragon appeared above Himmel once again.

This time, his heel descended like an accelerated blade.

CRAAAAAAACK!!!

The blow sent Himmel plummeting directly toward the heart of the burning star.

"I wanted your demise for all my life!"

His roar echoed directly inside Himmel’s soul.

"I SEARCHED EVERY STAR FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS JUST TO FIND YOUR SOUL!!"

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Another punch, reflecting his hatred, hit the barely conscious young man.

Himmel’s body spun violently. His left shoulder exploded into a cloud of flesh and shattered bone.

Just as the First Dragon was about to attack him again, a hand blocked his path.

Morningstar paused and looked up at the ordinary man blocking his path.

He wore a vintage three-piece coat with an old-looking hat on his head.

"It’s been a while, brother." Samyaza mentally said with a gentle smile on his face. "You are finally back."

"Move."

Morningstar had no interest in talking while Himmel’s body was floating towards the Sun.

"Now, why would you talk like that, brother?" Samyaza acted as though he were truly hurt by his words. "I wished for your well-being all this time, and you--"

"Move!"

Morningstar yelled, flexing his body, ready to destroy anyone in his path of revenge.

The smile on Samyaza’s face slowly dimmed as he gripped the cane in his hand.

"I can’t let you kill him, my brother." He said, placing his hand on his hat. "It would be a shame if you did that."

Morningstar’s expression darkened.

The veins beneath his skin bulged as his murderous aura spread through the vacuum itself.

"You..."

His vertical pupils locked onto the ordinary-looking man standing before him.

"...You dare stand in my way?"

Samyaza sighed as though he were listening to a stubborn child.

"I don’t wish to fight my little brother either."

He adjusted the old hat resting on his head before lightly tapping the tip of his cane against empty space.

Samyaza created a barrier that blocked their conversation from prying beings.

"I will make you an offer in return for his life." He said, with a serious tone in his voice.

Morningstar was quick to dismiss his words. "I don’t want anything—"

"I can free you from the shackles of Father." Samyaza said, making the First Dragon pause.

It took him a while to understand what he had heard.

"...What?"

"In return for his life, I will take away your curse." Samyaza repeated clearly. "Spare the child, just this once."

"..."

The curse that all four brothers had was not something to be taken lightly.

It was a curse that bound them to misery, a curse that made whatever they did aid in the revival of the Creator God.

"...Are you sure?" He said in a suppressed voice. "This could lead to your death."

Samyaza smiled like an older brother who was fully in control.

"I know what I am doing."

Morningstar looked at Himmel, who had already lost consciousness and was on the verge of death.

The blazing Sun continued pulling the broken body towards itself.

Every passing second stripped away another layer of flesh.

His regeneration desperately tried to rebuild what was being burned away, only for the star to consume it again.

The First Dragon remained silent for what felt like an eternity.

"...Fine."

The single word echoed through the barrier.

"But only because you offered something worthy."

Without another word, the First Dragon turned and returned towards Lumina.

He still had some unfinished business with his eldest brother, Satan.

Samyaza remained in empty space and turned to look at Himmel.

He did nothing to help him physically. Instead, he took off his hat.

Like a magician, the ordinary-looking man took out a blue bird from his hat.

Liraz, the last phoenix, trembled, feeling the lingering presence of the Dragon.

Samyaza smiled and pushed the bird towards Himmel. "Look after him for me."

Liraz fluttered his wings and, with Samyaza’s guidance, reached Himmel.

His body turned translucent before he was completely submerged into Himmel’s body.

Samyaza then turned his gaze towards the Sun that burned brightly.

He spread his arms and bowed his head respectfully.

"I have played my part on the stage." He said to no one. "Now, I will let you take over."

In the blazing layers of the burning Sun, a figure slowly materialised like an extended part of it.

She was a tall woman with long olive hair that had ash-coloured highlights.

Her face was both familiar to this world, yet alien. She had sharp cheekbones and glowing ember-like eyes.

Goddess Amunet slowly reached out and grabbed Himmel’s burning body.

An amorous wave washed over them, and both of them vanished within the Sun.

Having done his part, Samyaza smiled and vanished from his place as well.

A split second later, Innana arrived at the place.

"Himmel..."

The Goddess of Love couldn’t feel the presence of her love in this world.

"HIMMEL!!"
