Reincarnated As The Heroes Guide

Chapter 329: What The Admins See

It didn’t take long for Kalli to arrive at the site of the new dungeon.

The scouting team was already waiting for her to arrive, just as confused as they were when they first realized that this was a dungeon entrance, and not an illusion.

Or, at least they assumed it was a dungeon entrance.

It looked exactly like the others that they had seen, and not like any other magic that they had seen so far. So, they assumed that it was actually a dungeon, and not a portal to somewhere else.

Kalli landed beside the portal and stared at it for a moment, wondering how she was going to get more information.

Then, she realized that the answer was simple.

Cheat.

Kalli pulled up her system interface, and opened the administrator panel to run a check for nearby items.

Ten heroes, all their gear, eighty six earth mice, two tuber plants, and one world object "Dungeon Entrance, Level 22, ascended standard settings."

That was what she needed to know.

"This is not going to be an easy one for us. The dungeon is level twenty two, and it’s Ascended. So, we’re going to need a full team that has surpassed level sixteen and improved their powers, but they’re still not going to have an easy time of it, when the dungeon is that much higher level," she explained to the scouts.

"How do you know that?" The team leader asked.

"I can see it in my interface. One of the abilities of a Coordinator. Also, you should know that there are something called Earth Mice nearby, and I don’t know if they’re hostile."

The scout team’s Rogue nodded. "They’re not a big threat. They’re level zero. But they might have magic of some sort, they just haven’t come to the surface to show off. I can sense them with my [Danger Sense] ability.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t tell me anything about the dungeon other than the entrance is right here."

Kalli nodded. "That’s not surprising. Usually we would have to find out the hard way what was in there. And I suppose we still do, since I can only see what level the dungeon is at. However, we do have teams on the way, so we will know the answer soon enough."

The scouts sadly realized that they were not high enough level to even attempt this on their own, they would have to wait for the others to clear it first and give them answers.

But seeing one gave them hope that there were more dungeon entrances hiding somewhere in the territory.

If that was the case, then they might be able to find one that would bridge the gap between the Ogre Dungeon and this one, so they could keep pushing with daily dungeon runs all the way up past level twenty.

That would be amazing.

Now, none of them expected that it would be a fast process, but just having a predictable pathway to success was enough to put everyone in a good mood.

Even if that pathway was still somewhat theoretical.

Within minutes, the teams arrived, and began deciding who was going to go first.

Niall was deep in thought as he stared at the portal. "Level twenty two is higher than expected. I don’t think that we can do it with our normal teams. But if we have Esmeralda with us, her undead will help with the difference, and we can count on Sanchez and the other riflemen to bump up our ranged damage, while the mages cover area damage and control.

The question is, how many of us can enter? Do we just set a ten person team and hope for the best?"

Sanchez shrugged. "I think that’s the best way. Send in a ten person team, and if it’s too many, the System will stop us. That’s what happened when we forgot to take people out of the group to do lower dungeons. If you have six for a five person group it tells you."

That was the best option that they had.

And so, a ten person team was formed, and the team drew lots to see who would enter first.

None of the other dungeons attacked the moment that you entered, but this one was still an unknown, and they couldn’t be sure what it was, or what sort of tricks it would play on them.

The loser of the draw was Niall, which brought about a number of jokes about his luck only holding true in matters of the heart, which the Rogue simply ignored and stepped to the portal.

His hand touched it like a solid object, and he shook his head.

"It’s a five person instance. Split the teams, and we can go in separately."

The teams smoothly split, as they were already used to working in groups of five, and the ones who had arrived were already among the strongest in the city. So, it was just a matter of switching party members in the system interface and stepping inside again.

The moment that Niall’s hand touched the portal the second time, his whole group vanished, and then Sanchez led his group in right behind them.

Kalli sighed, and the scouts turned their attention to her. "Problem, Coordinator?"

"I was going to suggest waiting for the first group to come out, so they would know what they were getting into. But I guess we can just all find out at once."

That made the scouts smiled. "True enough. It’s not like we can do anything on our own when the dungeon is so much higher level than we are. If we were all level sixteen and had the advancement, I would suggest trying, but I’ve seen the power difference, and we’re not about that life."

"He should say we’re all about our lives. And if we go in there, we’re going to lose them," his team’s healer corrected.

They were not wrong, the power difference was likely too much. But Kalli also didn’t know if a death inside the dungeon would be resurrected. The entrance was in range, but was the dungeon itself?
