Chapter 138: Who is the strongest?

  • Next Chapter

"Mother, may I ask who is the strongest pantheon?"

Eazi’s voice was filled with curiosity as she sat nearby, her eyes fixed on Trias. The question had clearly been lingering in her mind for quite some time, and she finally found the courage to ask it.

"That question has really been lingering on my mind for the longest time now."

She tilted her head slightly, waiting for her mother’s answer.

Trias sat in the same room, quietly reading a book that rested between her hands. She slowly lowered it after hearing Eazi’s question, her expression becoming thoughtful as she looked toward her daughter.

"Hm... I don’t really know much about that."

Trias tapped her finger lightly against the book’s cover. "We all existed in different periods, after all, and most of us tried to avoid conflicts with one another as much as possible. Of course, that doesn’t mean conflicts never happened."

"But who do you really think is the strongest?"

Eazi leaned forward slightly, her eyes glittering with excitement. She seemed far more interested in Trias’s personal opinion than an objective answer.

Trias stared at her for a moment before placing a finger against her chin. She began thinking seriously about the question, even though the faint smile on her face suggested that she was enjoying the conversation.

"Lets see..."

She slowly raised one finger. "First, we can cross out the less obvious answers, such as the five newer pantheons. They’re simply too young compared to the rest of us, and most of them haven’t had enough time to reach their full potential."

Trias raised another finger. "We should also exclude the non-combatants, such as myself, Wias, and Moleius. We each possess our own strengths, but if we’re talking about a direct confrontation, none of us are particularly suited for it."

Eazi nodded repeatedly, carefully listening to every word.

"Then who does that leave?"

Trias closed her book and placed it beside her. "Odir, for one. His brute strength is probably the greatest among the pantheons. If you put him in a straightforward battle where physical strength matters most, I doubt many of us could overpower him."

"Uncle is that strong?"

Eazi’s eyes widened slightly at the thought.

"Very strong."

Trias gave a small nod. "But raw strength isn’t everything. Olium is another possibility because of his versatility. He can adapt to many different situations, meaning defeating him isn’t as simple as overpowering him."

She paused briefly before continuing.

"Then there’s Calean. When it comes to speed, he’s probably the most troublesome. His movements are extremely difficult to predict, and once he starts fighting seriously, simply keeping track of him can become a challenge."

"So Odir has strength, Olium has versatility, and Calean has speed."

Eazi quietly repeated the traits, seemingly trying to build a picture in her head. "Exactly."

Trias smiled slightly. "Then we have Catalyst, who possesses the highest magical output among us. If we’re talking about overwhelming someone with sheer destructive power, Catalyst would be one of the first names I’d mention."

"And what about Le Von Dia?" Eazi immediately brought up another name, already familiar with the pantheon’s reputation.

"Le Von Dia is another dangerous one."

Trias’s expression became slightly more serious. "His mastery over dark magic is something you shouldn’t underestimate. There are very few among us who can match him when it comes to that particular field."

Eazi rested her chin on her hands, waiting for Trias to continue.

"And then we have the Flydes."

Trias raised another finger. "Pandi possesses an absurd amount of magical power and, depending on the circumstances, his abilities could completely change the direction of a battle. Then there’s Sebastian Flyde."

"Uncle Sebastian?" Eazi blinked.

"Yes."

Trias nodded. "His immortality alone makes him incredibly troublesome. Even if someone manages to defeat him once, that doesn’t necessarily mean the battle is over. Fighting someone who simply refuses to remain dead is a nightmare in itself."

Eazi’s expression became more thoughtful.

"What about Coasta?"

"Coasta..." Trias paused.

"I’ve never actually seen him fight seriously."

She shrugged slightly. "So I can’t really judge him fairly. He might be stronger than I think, but without seeing what he’s truly capable of, I’d rather not place him among the strongest."

Eazi nodded slowly, absorbing all the information.

"So there are actually quite a few who could be considered the strongest."

"That’s the problem."

Trias smiled. "There’s no simple answer. Everyone has a different specialty, and the circumstances of the battle would determine quite a lot."

She then reached over and gently placed her hand on Eazi’s head. "But ultimately, I think you might become the strongest."

Eazi froze. For a moment, she simply stared at her mother, seemingly unsure whether Trias was joking.

"You really think so?"

Trias gently patted her head. "I’m serious."

Although her tone remained light, there was no joking expression in her eyes. Trias knew better than anyone what kind of potential Eazi possessed, and the thought of what her daughter could eventually become made her smile.

"But for now..."

Trias withdrew her hand and began counting on her fingers again.

"I’d say it’s between Le Von Dia, Sebastian, Odir, or Calean."

"Hmm..."

Eazi lowered her gaze, thinking about the four names. "You think so? They’re pretty strong, huh?"

"They are."

Trias chuckled softly. "And that’s only judging from what I know. There could always be something they’ve kept hidden from everyone else."

"Uhmmm Mother, you mentioned before that there were some conflicts among the uncles."

Her expression suddenly became curious again. "What happened?"

Trias let out a short chuckle, though her expression changed slightly at the question.

"That..."

She looked toward the window for a moment, as if remembering something from a very distant time.

"It’s about Calean and Olium."

Eazi’s eyes widened with interest.

"Years ago, something happened between them."

Trias closed her book again and stood from her seat.

"But I’ll tell you that story next time, okay?"

"Aww..."

Eazi’s shoulders dropped slightly in disappointment, but Trias simply smiled at her reaction.

"For now, we should go."

She walked toward the door and glanced back at Eazi. "Today is Sunday. You already know what happens today, right?"

Eazi immediately stood up, her previous disappointment disappearing.

"Yes!"

She hurried toward her mother.

"The evening gathering."
