Reincarnated as a damn planet
Chapter 106: The New One
Once I had given them a portion of my power, I floated across the barren lands below, observing the individuals who scavenged for whatever they could find. At this point in time, there were no kingdoms, no organized settlements, and no civilization worthy of the name. Everyone simply lived through scavenging and hunting, moving from one place to another without any permanent home.
After learning about my multiple evolutions, the alliances that existed beyond this world, and the betrayal committed by members of the chatroom who deliberately sided with an Unorthodox Alliance or another individual, there was still one question I could not answer. Did my Fourth Evolution erase them in this timeline, or were they still somewhere beyond my knowledge?
If they still existed, they might eventually become capable of reaching me. I had already seen what they were capable of in the future, and I had no intention of allowing history to repeat itself.
I need to become stronger. Far stronger.
If necessary, I must even surpass the power of my previous evolutions.
At the moment, I possessed a set of skills, but most of them were nothing extraordinary. Astral Projection was the only exception, as it was far more advanced than anything this timeline should possess, allowing me to observe others whenever I needed without exposing myself.
Aside from that, I only knew of one skill I could eventually acquire, and even that required me to first create a world war. The thought itself was troublesome, but if that skill could increase my chances of surviving what was coming, then I would eventually have to consider it.
I wondered if the universe already knew of my existence. Perhaps the Universal Karma System had already noticed the changes I had made, or perhaps it had even begun to recognize me as something that should not exist.
But testing that theory would be far too dangerous. I could not afford to attract the attention of something I did not understand.
First, I needed to fill the remaining seats of the twenty-four Pantheons. These people would become my first line of defense if someone invaded this world, and they would also become the forces I could rely upon if I ever decided to invade another world myself.
The original seven Pantheons were already far stronger than anything currently living on this planet. Even after I bestowed a portion of my power upon them, however, there was a limitation I could not ignore.
I had learned this the hard way.
My abilities were practically useless when dealing with another player directly. Therefore, any skills I granted the Pantheons would be useless against them as well, meaning they would have to rely on their own experiences, physical abilities, and magical capabilities.
Which brought me to magic.
I needed to design the world properly. Just like before, introducing magic at an early stage would give the civilizations an enormous advantage, and combining it with unique traits could trigger an entirely different form of progression.
With that thought, I did exactly what I had intended. Magic entered the foundation of the world, while traits were woven into the races, creating a world that was once again similar to the one I had known before.
As for the afterlife within the Consciousness Space, I decided to give it another purpose. It would become a private army for the Pantheons, allowing those who had already died to continue serving beneath the gods they had worshipped.
As for myself... I probably needed an army of my own.
Something similar to the angels from Earth, beings whose sole purpose was to serve their god. The Pantheons technically fulfilled that role, but they were different because I had given them freedom, and I did not want to turn them into mindless servants.
Taking away their freedom could create consequences of its own. So instead, I decided to create something separate.
I entered the Consciousness Space and began designing them. They were enormous beings, each standing several meters tall, with pale bodies and fine white garments decorated with golden trimmings.
Their forms were neither male nor female, their bodies designed without the biological distinction between the two. Their weapons were biological as well, with some possessing swords grown directly from their arms, while others carried biological weapons capable of releasing concentrated beams of energy.
Others possessed enormous biological shields, their bodies naturally producing defensive structures capable of protecting their kind. But their most important trait was their relationship with magic.
The longer an angel existed, the more magic it would absorb. They would slowly accumulate magical energy throughout their existence, becoming stronger simply by continuing to live.
I then designed their reproduction around that same principle. There would be no conventional birth, as once an angel accumulated enough magical energy to reach a certain threshold, it would naturally feel the need to shed that excess power.
From that released energy, another angel would be born. Their existence would therefore become a continuous cycle, with one generation accumulating power before eventually giving rise to another.
I created a special environment for them within the Consciousness Space and placed the newly created angels there. For now, they would remain hidden, where the Universal Karma System would hopefully never notice their existence.
If the Karma System noticed what I was doing outside, it might eventually trace the disturbance back to me. I could not take that risk.
After finishing their creation, I simply floated above them and watched. I could use Temporal Acceleration and make centuries pass within moments, forcing their civilization to develop far faster than naturally possible.
But I had already made that mistake once. I did not want to leave them alone for centuries again. For now, I could only wait.
As I watched everything from above through my Omnipresence, I could not help but let a faint smile form across my face. The sight below me was still primitive, uncertain, and far from the civilization I remembered, yet for the first time since learning the truth about my past, I felt something I had nearly forgotten.
Just moments ago, I had been drowning in despair, convinced that everything I built would eventually be destroyed. Now, I found myself clinging to another sense of hope, fragile as it was, hoping that this time, I could change the fate that had followed me through every evolution.
