Redemption of a Born Demon
Chapter 613: The Celestial Demon’s Annihilation, Yi Beidou’s Unyielding Will
Chapter 613 -379: The Celestial Demon’s Annihilation, Yi Beidou’s Unyielding Will
The two stepped through the air, heading straight above the Thirty-Three Heavens!
For an Earth Immortal, the space beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens was forbidden territory. Once they left this area, their power would rapidly drain away. However, this was not the case for Yi Beidou and Innate.
They possessed Earth Immortal Level power, yet they were not Earth Immortals. They still maintained purely mortal bodies!
The gazes of the crowd followed the two figures as they ascended. Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, countless layers of clouds had long since obscured their forms, but a clear image of them still appeared in everyone’s minds.
This was the powerful spiritual sense of Cultivators at work. The two unrestrainedly released their power and auras. Given their “weight” within human civilization, this perception penetrated deep into the hearts and minds of the people.
They were unseen, yet clearly perceived; their might was like that of gods.
Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, Yi Beidou and Innate stood facing each other. Black Flame and Golden Dew constantly entangled and collided, two forces, each possessing a certain degree of infinite properties, continuously spreading.
The momentum between the two was constantly rising.
Suddenly, Innate made his move.
With a sudden wave of his hand, the surging golden mist unexpectedly seeped into the Black Flame’s Realm.
The Black Flame, which had been evenly matched, was now unable to block the golden mist’s infiltration.
FWOOM!!
Yi Beidou manipulated the Black Flame, condensing it into the structure of an Immortal Talisman and violently incinerating everything around it, but he still couldn’t stop the golden mist from seeping in.
‘This is… a Divine Power of the Immortal Talisman at a higher level?!’
Yi Beidou soon discovered the true nature of this phenomenon.
His opponent’s Immortal Talisman was more profound on a microscopic level, existing on a plane the Black Flame couldn’t burn. Though it seemed their Immortal Powers had clashed to a standstill, his opponent was actually infiltrating from a level he couldn’t even touch.
“Your Immortal Talisman mastery is too low. This Divine Power of mine is called the ‘Heaven Repairing Skill.’ Savor its mysteries.”
A faint smile remained on Innate’s face.
The Heaven Repairing Skill was one of his true trump cards. Yi Beidou had only taken half a year to grasp the basics of Immortal Talismans, but Innate had specialized in them for nearly sixty years before sealing himself away. His understanding was naturally far more profound.
Innate Golden Dew, with water-attribute Immortal Power at its core, excelled in delicate, microscopic control, as well as the spread and infiltration of energy.
The Heaven Repairing Skill combined Immortal Talisman techniques to push this characteristic to its absolute limit.
How does one repair the heavens?
The heavens have no constant form. They are illusory and ethereal, like clouds that gather and disperse, impossible to grasp.
Only by immersing one’s power deep into the “rules” of the Heavenly Dao’s operation, deep into the imperceptible Void, could one possibly “repair the heavens.”
Innate’s Divine Power of the Immortal Talisman possessed just such a terrifying effect.
He had used this same Divine Power when he killed the four Root Sources. His Immortal Power silently invaded their bodies. He hadn’t even made a move, yet the four Root Sources were killed with ease, unable to even damage their surroundings.
And when facing those four Root Sources, Innate hadn’t even unleashed the true power of his Heaven Repairing Skill.
At the same time the golden mist invaded the interior of the Black Flame.
BANG! BANG! BANG!!
A large amount of Innate Golden Dew suddenly vanished. What was more terrifying was that its disappearance seemed to pierce through the Void itself, leaving behind dark holes in the sky that not even the high sun could penetrate.
The Black Flame within the area of these holes was annihilated along with the disappearing Innate Golden Dew, vanishing without a trace.
But soon, an even more ferocious surge of Innate Golden Dew rushed in to fill those dark holes. In the process, Yi Beidou’s inextinguishable Black Flame was snuffed out at its very source, its space rapidly compressed by the Innate Golden Dew.
This was the “Celestial Defect Skill,” identical in essence to the Heaven Repairing Skill, but with a far more domineering effect.
By detonating the Innate Golden Dew on a deep, microscopic energy level, it produced an annihilation effect, creating an “energy vacuum” within a certain area—as if a flaw had appeared in the Heavenly Dao.
Within this energy vacuum, all things were extinguished. Even Yi Beidou’s Black Flame, stripped of all energy to rely on, lost its medium for combustion, just like an ordinary flame in a true vacuum, unable to keep burning!
And after using the Celestial Defect Skill, Innate would then use the Heaven Repairing Skill to mend the celestial defect, allowing him to suppress all things in the world, step by step.
The Innate Golden Dew would submerge everything.
Just like nature itself—cyclical, eternal, with all things returning to it in the end.
It lacked the extreme, nuclear-blast-like spectacle of the Root Sources’ attacks, but true terror often lies in silence.
Yi Beidou’s eyes narrowed. His body rapidly transformed, becoming like black jade. Vicious, black, flame-like tails appeared on his form as he took on the appearance of a Demon Lord descending upon the world.
Free Self-Demonization!!
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!!
The silent energy annihilation pressed ever closer to his true body, finally reaching his demonized form.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!!
His Demon Body, comparable to the true body of an Earth Immortal and which had emerged unscathed from the combined nuclear attacks of multiple nations, was actually cracking under the energy annihilation. Although the wounds healed in the blink of an eye thanks to the Penglai Technique, this still meant that Yi Beidou’s invincible defense had been breached by his opponent!
Moreover, Yi Beidou could feel that this was not Innate’s limit.
His opponent’s Immortal Power fluctuations remained only on the surface of his body. With that terrifying Divine Power of the Immortal Talisman, he should have been able to penetrate into the deeper regions of his body and inflict even more horrific damage.
“Why aren’t you using your full strength?”
Yi Beidou stared at Innate.
“I’m not looking for victory or defeat, but an equal opponent—an absolutely fair duel. But between you and me, it was never fair to begin with.”
“When I sealed myself away to slumber, I was nearly a hundred years old. At that time, I roamed the Earth and learned many secrets of the Earth Immortal Era.”
