’She can’t refuse anyway!’

Their eyes met. Emeric didn’t seem the least bit embarrassed by his words. He simply watched Cecilia, as if waiting for her to nod in agreement.

It was as if he knew she wouldn’t refuse.

Cecilia tilted her head up slightly. The dappled light filtering through the leaves cast shifting shadows across her face, making her look breathtakingly beautiful.

"Then you can take the lead this time."

she said.

Emeric’s expression softened, and a look of joy surfaced in his eyes. He slowly lowered his head, moving closer to Cecilia. It wasn’t as sudden as before. Cecilia could clearly feel his presence drawing nearer, gradually enveloping her.

Just as she felt the warmth of his breath, her waist was suddenly pulled taut. Emeric’s large hands had gently grasped her waist from both sides, pulling her lightly into his arms.

Cecilia’s soft body tumbled into his solid chest, and a second later, she felt a soft pressure on her lips.

A sudden gust of night wind swept by, but it couldn’t match the coolness of Emeric’s lips.

It started with a simple touch of their lips. They both closed their eyes instinctively as Emeric began to pepper Cecilia’s lips with a series of soft, fluttering kisses.

His kisses were gentle and careful, starting as a tentative exploration before slowly deepening, and finally becoming passionate and lingering.

Emeric was completely lost in the moment. He had never fantasized about a moment like this, but when Cecilia raised her hands to hook them around his neck, it was like a catalyst that left him utterly intoxicated.

They kissed for a long time. It wasn’t until Emeric reluctantly began to break away that Cecilia, cheeks slightly flushed, opened her eyes.

They rested their foreheads together, their slightly heavy panting particularly charged and intimate in the quiet air.

"You’re a little too obvious," Cecilia reminded him in a low voice.

Emeric chuckled, making no move to separate their tightly pressed bodies. "A reaction is perfectly normal in a situation like that."

He was a doctor, so he had an excellent understanding of the body’s natural responses. He was completely frank about such things and felt no embarrassment whatsoever.

"This time felt even more intense than before," Emeric said.

"What feeling?"

"I can’t describe it, but it’s wonderful."

Cecilia looked up at him and chuckled lightly. "If you hadn’t told me that was your first kiss, I never would have guessed it was your first time."

"But I’m telling the truth."

"I believe you."

With that, Cecilia slowly unwrapped her hands from Emeric’s neck. Emeric, in turn, released his hold on her waist, and they each took a small step back.

They joined hands again and walked until they reached her dormitory.

"This is my building. You should head back."

Emeric glanced up at the women’s dorm building and nodded lightly. "You should go up. You must be tired after today. Get some rest."

Cecilia waved, not bothering with any sort of dramatic, lingering farewell. She simply turned and walked briskly through the dormitory’s main entrance.

Emeric waited until her figure had completely vanished before letting out a slow breath. He didn’t linger any longer and turned to leave.

As she pushed open the door to her dorm room, Estelle and Blair both spun their heads around to stare at her with scrutinizing eyes.

Cecilia froze, blinking at them. She closed the door behind her before asking, "What’s up?"

"Getting back at ten o’clock?" Estelle stood up, walked over to Cecilia, and looked her up and down. "So, what’s the deal with you?"

As Cecilia walked over to her desk to get her comfortable slippers, she explained, "Well, since you’re so curious, I don’t mind telling you."

The moment she said that, Estelle and Blair rushed over. "So there really *is* something going on?"

Cecilia paused in the middle of taking off her shoes. Looking at their expressions, she couldn’t help but laugh. "Not really. I just went to a banquet today and helped someone out..."

Cecilia recounted the entire story from beginning to end, not leaving out a single detail. Estelle and Blair were left completely dumbfounded.

By the end of the story, Estelle was so shocked her eyes looked like they were about to pop out of her head. "What? You can do that?!"

"Do what?"

"J-Just... that!" Estelle was too embarrassed to even say it out loud, yet Cecilia had gone and done it so shamelessly.

Blair clarified, "What Estelle means is, weren’t you just pretending to be his girlfriend to help him fool his family? How did you two end up kissing?"

Cecilia shook her head, correcting them with a serious look. "Let me repeat myself. He did originally ask me to *pretend* to be his girlfriend for a day. But the agreement we ultimately reached was to be a couple for a day—a *real* couple."

"Meaning, for today, we were boyfriend and girlfriend."

’That consensus was why she had been so proactive.’

’She wasn’t some kind of pervert who would use the pretense of being a fake girlfriend to take advantage of a handsome guy.’

’Emeric must have been thinking the same thing, which is why he asked for a repeat. Cecilia was sure that after today, even if Emeric wanted to kiss her again, he wouldn’t ask.’

’So the key was being a couple *for a day*. The key was *today*.’

’That made everything that happened between her and Emeric perfectly reasonable.’

"So just for today? It’s over after tonight?" Estelle Goodman, still reeling, asked in disbelief.

Cecilia nodded. At least, that was how it seemed for now.

Blair, on the other hand, looked completely relaxed and even felt like applauding. "That’s our Cecilia for you, always full of surprises."

Cecilia shrugged. She felt no guilt about what had happened today; in fact, she was left wanting more.

’Emeric was actually a virgin.’

’Thinking about that "rare trait" of his while picturing his face made him seem even more uniquely charming.’

"Cecilia," Estelle Goodman suddenly asked, looking at her with a serious expression, "But... what if he falls for you?"

Cecilia blinked, looking at Estelle, waiting for her to finish.

But Estelle had clearly finished speaking and was also looking at Cecilia, waiting for her answer.

Seeing this, Cecilia couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. "Wouldn’t it be perfectly normal for him to fall for me? I’m gorgeous, after all!"

Blair laughed too, but she sincerely agreed with Cecilia’s words.

Estelle couldn’t argue with that, but she was still worried about Cecilia. "It is normal, but aren’t you worried he’ll get attached? Or... do you actually think he’s a decent guy? Would you consider him for something more than just a one-day thing?"

"He’s not the type to get clingy. But from what I’ve seen, if he were truly interested in me, I think he’d actively pursue me," Cecilia said.

"Because even though Emeric seems cool and serious on the outside, he’s actually very genuine. He’s direct about his feelings and doesn’t hold back from expressing them."

"You can see it in a lot of the small details. Like how he called me beautiful, and then charming. And then when he wanted to kiss me again, he just came right out and said it."

"That’s why I think if Emeric really does like me, he definitely won’t hide it. It’s just not in his nature."
