Chapter 410 - 406: Little Miss, Who Are You?

Anyone would be happy to hear such words, and Lily Sterling was no exception. Her eyes crinkled into thin crescents as she smiled. "Thank you for the kind words, Beau. And thank you, Connie."

Beau was momentarily captivated by the vibrant, spiritual aura Lily exuded when she smiled.

A talent with such great potential, ending up in Connie’s hands, was like giving a tiger wings. If the company hadn’t interfered back then, Connie probably wouldn’t have actively signed Lily Sterling.

’Or could it be... that these actors only become so charismatic after they end up with Connie?’

The thought made Beau laugh. ’If that were true, Connie would be nothing short of a miracle worker!’

That day, Cecilia Sterling drove over personally to help Zelda Warner move.

Outside the main gate, Duane had been ringing the doorbell for a while, but no one came to open it.

"Cecilia, have you contacted Zelda?"

"I told her this morning I’d be here around this time. I’ll give her another call."

As Cecilia spoke, she took out her phone. But just as she was about to call Zelda Warner, Mrs. Lynn came running out in a hurry.

Her expression was frantic, and she kept glancing back as she ran. Seeing her in such a state, Cecilia instinctively frowned.

"Miss Sterling, it’s terrible! The master’s younger brother brought some men over! They’re tearing the house apart, trying to force the madam to hand over some documents."

Mrs. Lynn opened the gate, her face filled with urgency as she spoke to Cecilia.

Cecilia’s expression darkened. She glanced at Duane, who leaned in and whispered in her ear, "It’s the big boss’s biological brother, Tony Yates. The boss predicted he wouldn’t stay quiet, but we didn’t expect him to make a move this soon."

’She had known her brother had a younger brother. She just never expected that so soon after he was put away, the first one to start trouble would be his own flesh and blood.’

Inside the villa, it was a complete mess.

Zelda Warner sat on the sofa, cradling her pregnant belly, her expression calm.

Tony Yates stood in the middle of the living room, flanked by several fierce-looking thugs. He had a strong, thuggish air about him; compared to his brother, Wesley Yates, he seemed more like a street hoodlum.

"Sister-in-law, we’re family. I’m doing this for your own good. You’re a woman, all alone and pregnant, and Alex is only seven. My brother left behind this huge mess. You really think you can handle it?"

Tony Yates tilted his head and shook his leg, beginning to "reason" with Zelda Warner in a "nice" tone.

This was mainly because his initial hard approach had failed. The wreckage filling the room was proof of how "hard" he’d been, but it was useless. He’d found nothing.

Zelda Warner’s gaze was icy as she looked at Tony Yates, and her tone was even colder. "I told you, your brother didn’t leave anything behind. Stop wasting your energy."

"Impossible!" Tony Yates’s eyes hardened. "My brother’s a smart man. There’s no way he wouldn’t have arranged things before he went in. Sister-in-law, I’m trying to be nice about this. Don’t push me."

"Push you? What are you going to do?" Zelda was not the least bit intimidated, staring at Tony Yates without a trace of fear.

Tony Yates was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly laughed. "Well, well, look what we’ve done to my sister-in-law, who’s usually as gentle as water."

As he spoke, he stepped toward Zelda Warner, his smile turning increasingly lewd and scummy. "Sister-in-law, my brother’s inside now. What’s a widow and her orphan going to do?"

"Why don’t you come be with me? I might not have any other skills, but I’m damn good at doting on my woman!"

With that, he reached out to touch Zelda Warner’s face.

"Stop!"

Just then, a sharp command rang out, making Tony Yates jump.

Turning his head, his expression turned cold. He snarled, "Duane? You’re just a fucking dog my brother keeps around. Who the hell do you think you are, meddling in my business?"

The insults were vile, but Duane treated them like farts in the wind, paying them no mind.

"If he can’t, then I will."

From behind Duane, Cecilia’s voice floated out softly.

Her tone was light, yet it carried an oppressive weight that could not be ignored.

Tony Yates’s brow furrowed. Duane shifted to the right, revealing Cecilia Sterling, who stood behind him with an icy demeanor.

Coldly beautiful and noble.

She was so beautiful that Tony Yates’s impatient, angry expression instantly brightened.

His lips curved up instinctively as he looked at Cecilia. "And who might you be, little lady?"

Cecilia ignored him, her gaze slowly sweeping over the villa, which looked as if it had been ransacked.

The last time she was here, she had found the decor warm and inviting. Now, the wreckage before her bore no trace of that former warmth.

Seeing Cecilia, Zelda Warner stood up and walked slowly to her side. "Cecilia."

Cecilia first checked Zelda over for any physical injuries. Seeing none, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Are you okay?"

Zelda Warner shook her head.

"Hey!" Seeing he was being ignored, Tony Yates’s impatient expression returned. He glared at Cecilia and demanded, "Who are you, beautiful? Who let you in?"

As he spoke, he shot a vicious glare at Mrs. Lynn, who had snuck out to open the gate, frightening her so much that she quickly hid behind Kai Sherman.

Cecilia glanced at him. "You don’t need to ask who I am. Take your men and get out. Now. If you ever dare to bother her again, don’t blame me for what happens next."

Cecilia’s words were utterly domineering; she clearly had no intention of wasting another breath on the man before her.

But no matter how imposing her aura was, it wasn’t enough to intimidate someone like Tony Yates, who had been running the streets for years.

Besides, she was so beautiful that, in Tony Yates’s eyes, her anger looked more like the fetching pout of a beauty, possessing its own unique charm.

Tony Yates laughed out loud. "Big words, beautiful. You’re going to ’not be polite’ to me? How exactly are you planning on doing that?"

He glanced at Duane and the others beside Cecilia and sneered contemptuously. "With them? They’re nothing but stray dogs my brother picked up. I’m his biological brother. You think they’d dare lay a hand on me?"

"Besides, my brother probably ordered them to stay away from illegal business, right? After all, with him as a prime example, these fish that slipped through the net had better behave. Otherwise, they might be joining him for a little reunion inside very soon."

After speaking, the smile on Tony Yates’s face grew even more unbridled. It was obvious he didn’t take Cecilia seriously and was certain she could do nothing to him.

A flicker of anger appeared on the faces of Duane and his men, but with Cecilia present, none of them spoke.

Cecilia watched his triumphant expression, a chill spreading through her eyes, but she spoke in a slow, deliberate tone. "I don’t know if they’ll be going in, but I do know that if you don’t listen to what I’m saying, the next one to go in will be you!"

"Oh?" Tony Yates blinked, then sneered. "You’re going to send me in? Ha ha..."

He laughed loudly. "You must have some real pull, then! The police investigated my brother and didn’t touch me. What, you think you’re more capable than the police?"

Hearing this, Zelda Warner couldn’t help but clench her fists. The only reason Tony Yates had escaped was because Jeb had cleaned up his mess.
