Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't
Chapter 393 - 389: You Can Do That?
10:30 PM. The Hard Candy Bar!
Cecilia Sterling naturally wouldn’t bring her cousin by herself, so she had also called on Estelle.
Blair had a livestream and said she would rush over after midnight.
This was currently the most famous bar in Lorcain. It had a great atmosphere and pumping music. Most importantly, it was packed with attractive men and women, and you could even run into online influencers and celebrities.
The moment they arrived, the bar promoters greeting guests at the door approached them.
"Ladies, have you booked a table?"
"Let me show you in. I can get you a great table."
Every bar had promoters like this. And because Cecilia Sterling and her friends looked young, they fit the profile of "easy marks," so a whole crowd immediately surrounded them.
Besides the promoters, many other patrons were also gathered at the entrance in small groups. When they saw a few stunning women like Cecilia and her friends arriving without any male companions, their gazes instinctively landed on them.
Sarah Harris looked around curiously, noting that the young promoters were actually all quite handsome.
Cecilia Sterling, meanwhile, was sending a message on her phone. A moment later, a man in a suit carrying a walkie-talkie ran out to receive them.
The man pushed the promoters aside, then looked at Cecilia Sterling and asked, "Are you Miss Sterling?"
Cecilia Sterling nodded. The man stepped aside deferentially. "Please, follow me."
The promoters watched in astonishment as Cecilia was personally escorted inside by a staff member. The eyes of everyone else in the vicinity followed her.
Sarah Harris relished the feeling of being the center of attention. She was in complete awe of her cousin. It wasn’t just at luxury boutiques—her cousin had clout wherever she went in Lorcain.
’So cool!’
As they walked through the main doors, the deafening music washed over them. The space was filled with attractive young men and women, and a haze of smoke hung in the dim, psychedelic lighting, instantly pulling them into the atmosphere.
"I’m sorry, Miss Sterling. The best booths in the center were booked two weeks ago. I’m afraid we can only seat you here for tonight. Will this be alright?"
The staff member shouted, trying his best to be heard over the music.
Cecilia Sterling nodded. The booth wasn’t in the best location, but it was still decent.
A server quickly brought over the drink menu. Cecilia handed it to Estelle and Sarah Harris. "What do you two want to drink?"
"I’m fine with anything. Let your cousin choose. Whatever she wants, it’s my treat tonight!" Estelle said generously.
’Sarah Harris is Cecilia’s cousin, here visiting from out of town,’ she thought. ’As Cecilia’s best friend, treating her to drinks will make Cecilia look good.’
Cecilia Sterling just smiled at her words and didn’t object.
"Thanks, Estelle! Should I order, then?" Sarah Harris asked, eager and full of anticipation.
Estelle smiled broadly. "Order whatever you like. I may not be as rich as your cousin, but a round of drinks won’t bankrupt me."
Her words made Sarah Harris laugh. She pointed to the "Ace of Spades" on the menu. "I want to order this! I heard if you order it at a bar, there’s a whole production. They bring it over with light-up signs!"
"Alright, that’s the one!"
Soon, the bar’s DJ made a special announcement over the microphone: "A big thank you to the lovely ladies at booth VIP 7 for ordering two Ace of Spades Supreme Packages! We hope you have a fantastic night at The Hard Candy!"
As soon as he finished, a new song started playing. Cecilia didn’t catch most of the lyrics, but she clearly heard one line: "You’re my favorite Ace of Spades, let’s cheers!"
’Honestly, this song is a bit cheesy.’
But Sarah Harris had been right—the drinks were indeed delivered by a procession of handsome men holding light-up signs!
When the other patrons in the bar heard the announcement and saw the procession, they naturally looked over curiously.
Beautiful women.
The Ace of Spades Supreme Package.
The two combined were an instant attention-grabber!
Sarah Harris clapped her hands and shrieked with excitement, recording the entire spectacle on her phone.
In the not-too-distant VIP 2 booth, Quentin Perry was on his phone trying to round up more people when a friend beside him slapped his arm excitedly. "Quentin! Quentin! Look over there! We’ve got some serious lookers!"
Quentin Perry didn’t look up. Ever since meeting Cecilia Sterling, he’d lost all interest in the so-called "lookers" his friends were always pointing out.
"Holy shit, they’re gorgeous!"
"Even prettier than Yvette Garrett!"
His other friends chimed in with similar exclamations of awe. Only then did Quentin stand up and casually glance in the direction they were all looking.
Just one look was all it took. Delight instantly filled his eyes.
’Cecilia?’
In the hazy, flashing lights of the bar, her faint smile made her look even more captivating!
Noticing Quentin’s transfixed gaze, his friend said smugly, "See? Told you so. In a minute, I’ll go call them over so you can get acquainted."
"I don’t need your help!" Quentin pushed his friend back down into his seat. "I already know her. I’ll go myself!"
He wasn’t one to feel shy. He immediately grabbed a drink and squeezed his way through the crowd.
Cecilia and her friends had just finished their first drink when the cushion beside her suddenly sank. Someone had plopped down right next to her.
She instinctively turned her head and was met with Quentin Perry’s best attempt at a charming smile. "Hello there. We meet again."
"Quentin?"
Estelle Goodman spoke before Cecilia could. While Estelle didn’t know every rich heir in Lorcain, she knew her fair share. And since Quentin Perry was her cousin’s arch-rival, she knew him quite well.
’Her cousin cursed Quentin out behind his back all the time!’
"Oh, Estelle, you’re here too?" Quentin finally noticed Estelle Goodman. He looked between the women with interest. "You’re all friends?"
"We’re best friends," Estelle said.
Quentin nodded in understanding, his gaze sweeping over Sarah Harris as well. Another tall beauty. The three women at this table were, without a doubt, the highest-caliber group in the entire bar tonight.
"We’re in VIP 2. It’s a better spot, and there’s plenty of room. Why don’t you join us?" Quentin extended the invitation.
Estelle instinctively glanced at Cecilia. Honestly, she’d heard a lot of gossip about Quentin Perry and knew he was far from a model citizen.
As she looked at Cecilia, she gave her a light kick under the table as a warning.
But before Cecilia could even speak, Sarah Harris nodded excitedly. "Okay! The more the merrier, sis, and we can play games!"
’This guy is handsome and friendly,’ she thought. ’It would be fun to hang out with them. Otherwise, it’s kind of boring with just the three of us.’
Cecilia looked at Quentin. She could see right through him and knew exactly what was on his mind.
’But it didn’t matter.’
"Sure, why not?" Cecilia nodded.
Estelle: "..."
Quentin’s eyes lit up. He immediately called a server over to move their drinks to his booth, eagerly helping with the task himself.
Estelle seized the opportunity to pull Cecilia aside. "Cecilia, that guy’s a total playboy. He’s bad news."
Cecilia’s lips curved into a smile. She patted Estelle’s arm, her expression calm and reassuring. "I know what I’m doing. Just treat him like he’s a male model."
Estelle: "?"
’Wait, you can do that?’
