Blair had a notoriously short fuse. She had a knack for matching her attitude to whoever she was dealing with.

However, the venue was noisy and the background music was a bit loud, so only the people at her half of the table could hear her.

Even so, it was enough to make everyone who heard her gasp in shock.

This was Cece Desire they were talking about!

Her streams consistently pulled in hundreds of dollars, and her channel was packed with countless big spenders!

At a brand event like this, she might not have made it to the celebrities’ table, but she was guaranteed the "C-spot" at the influencers’ table!

"Wh-what did you say?"

The assistant was used to throwing his weight around, riding on Cece Desire’s coattails. Relying on her status as the top female streamer, he often bossed around staff members and looked down on lesser-known influencers.

So when he heard Blair, he was stunned, his face a mask of disbelief.

Blair had no intention of actually starting a fight in a place like this. Too lazy to deal with him, she said casually, "The staff told me to sit here. Take it up with them."

With that, she turned her head away, picked up her wine glass, and started drinking again as if no one else existed.

Cece Desire’s eyes widened slightly. She couldn’t believe she was being treated with such contempt by a complete stranger. ’Didn’t she recognize me?’

The other influencers seated nearby were completely dumbfounded. No one had ever expected to see the queen of Tiktok get shut down over something like this.

They had all seen a staff member personally lead the woman to this seat just moments ago. And while none of them recognized her, it was clear she hadn’t just forced her way into the spot.

"Cece, why don’t you sit with us? There’s still a spot over here."

Someone nearby couldn’t resist speaking up. Judging by their tone, they were clearly acquainted with Cece Desire and were trying to save her from the embarrassment of not having a seat.

But why would she be content with a seat on the sidelines?

She immediately shot a look at her assistant.

Seeing the signal, the assistant’s tone grew harsher. "This is Cece’s seat. If you don’t move right now, I’m calling security!"

Blair was holding her wine glass. Her expression turned cold at his words. She set down her glass and slowly stood up. With her tall frame and high heels, she was actually a bit taller than the male assistant.

The assistant assumed she was intimidated and was getting up to give him the seat. He let out a triumphant sneer. "Remember your place next time. Did you really think you could just sit wherever you wanted at an event like this?"

But after standing up, Blair simply sat back down, her expression blank, as everyone watched.

"What do you think you’re doing?"

The assistant’s eyes bulged as he demanded, his tone dripping with displeasure.

Blair’s lips curled into a contemptuous smile. "It means I’m sitting right here."

"You..."

He was momentarily speechless. He raised his hand as if to physically haul Blair out of the chair, but ultimately restrained himself.

"Fine. You just wait. Let’s see how long you can keep that seat."

After spitting out the vicious threat, the assistant turned back to his boss, his expression instantly changing to one of fawning concern. "Cece, wait here. I’ll go get a staff member."

The influencers at the table were thrilled to have front-row seats to the drama. They were exactly the type to love a good show, the bigger the better.

A few of them even exchanged "This is juicy" glances. Most of them disliked the self-proclaimed queen of the industry, Cece Desire.

It was just that no one ever dared to show it, at most keeping their distance.

They never expected to witness something like this firsthand. The woman in the seat had such a powerful presence; she wasn’t the least bit afraid of Cece Desire or her bootlicking assistant. In fact, she acted as if they were beneath her notice entirely.

’Who in the world is this woman?’

This was a first for Cece Desire, too. She stood there next to the seat, "helpless and alone," refusing to budge. It was clear she wouldn’t back down until she got that seat.

To her, the "C-spot" was everything, especially at the influencers’ table. If she let this go so easily today, who would ever respect her as the queen of the scene again?

Soon, a staff member arrived.

"It’s her! She took Cece’s seat. Deal with this, quickly!"

The assistant pointed a finger at Blair, his tone dripping with contempt and disgust, as if Blair were something unsightly.

But before the staff member could react, Blair’s hand shot out and seized the assistant’s wrist. A slight press of her thumb was all it took to make him cry out in pain.

"ARGH—"

The pain shot from his wrist through his entire body, instantly sapping his strength. His body went limp, and as Blair released her grip, the assistant crumpled to the floor, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

Seeing this, the onlookers looked on with disdain. They all thought he was putting on an act, trying to fake an injury. ’How strong could a woman possibly be?’

His reaction was way too exaggerated.

Even Cece Desire thought her assistant was overacting, and she shot him an embarrassed look, signaling for him to get up.

Blair spoke slowly. "I don’t like being pointed at."

The assistant slowly climbed up from the floor. When he looked up at Blair again, the emotion in his eyes had completely changed, replaced by pure fear.

It turned out her earlier claim of "knowing a little self-defense" wasn’t a joke.

Seeing what had happened, the staff member hurried over to get the story straight. Guests at this kind of banquet could only enter with an invitation, so all the seats were pre-assigned with name cards to prevent mix-ups.

But this particular seat had no name card!

The staff member was confused. He wasn’t the one who had shown Blair to her seat.

He glanced at Blair, then at Cece Desire. He clearly recognized Cece Desire, but Blair was a complete stranger to him.

"How about this? I can arrange another seat for you?"

The staff member’s attitude was decent as he asked tentatively.

But he wasn’t asking Cece Desire. He was asking Blair!

Upon hearing this, a provocative look appeared on Cece Desire’s face, as if to say, ’I gave you a chance to move, but you refused. Isn’t it even more humiliating to be forced out of your seat now?’

But Blair wasn’t the type to suffer injustice silently. She remained perfectly still in her seat, looked at the staff member with a blank expression, and retorted, "And the reason for moving me would be?"

"Because you’re in a seat that doesn’t belong to you! You’re in someone else’s seat, obviously!" the assistant yapped, the pain in his wrist not yet faded. Even in his fear, he had to bark for his master.

Blair tilted her head to look at him. "Oh? Did you piss on the seat to mark your territory? Is this your kingdom now?"
