Chapter 471: Fanfan Has an Older Sister (2)

Shen Nian hitched a ride into the city in one of the company cars as usual. However, she hadn’t been shopping for long before she realized that she was, apparently, being followed.

’I thought I was just making a simple trip to buy a few things, but now it looks like it’s not simple at all!’

The old Shen Nian would never have noticed she was being followed so easily. But after her rebirth, thanks to the existence of her space and practicing the Cultivation Technique within it, Shen Nian’s five senses were far more acute than before.

Besides, the people tailing her probably never imagined she would be able to detect them. They were so arrogant they didn’t even bother with concealment. They weren’t even more than five meters behind her. And that distance was steadily shrinking.

Shen Nian calmly kept walking forward. Her brow furrowed slightly as a thought occurred to her. ’Could the people following me have been sent by the Meng Family?’

’But the Meng Family must have their hands full with their own problems right now. Do they really have the time to come after me?’

’Besides, even if the Meng Family did come looking for me now, it wouldn’t change anything.’

’But if it isn’t the Meng Family, then who could it be? After arriving in B City, the only people I’ve really offended are the Meng Family!’

Still, regardless of who sent them, Shen Nian could at least sense that they didn’t have friendly intentions.

Because they didn’t take her seriously, they hadn’t sent many people—only two or three. Their skills didn’t seem to be anything special, either. Their breathing, at least, was a complete mess.

’What could people like this possibly do to me?’ Shen Nian wasn’t worried in the slightest. In fact, she was a little tempted to use them to test the results of her recent combat training with Lu Cheng.

With this in mind, Shen Nian came to a stop at a deserted intersection.

Shen Nian felt that when she stopped walking, the men following her stopped as well.

Shen Nian stood there for a moment before turning to face the direction where the men were.

Upon seeing her turn, the three men following Shen Nian couldn’t help but exchange bewildered glances.

’We’ve been discovered? How is that possible!’

And not only had she discovered them, but instead of trying to run away and get help, she had stopped and was now looking at them with such a defiant gaze.

Their mission today, after all, was to give their target a stern warning. They were even authorized to get a little physical if need be.

’But to think this "total weakling" of a target would actually turn around and provoke them... what a joke! There was no way they could stand being challenged by some helpless woman!’

And so, they abandoned any pretense of hiding and walked straight toward Shen Nian.

’Few people used this road to begin with. For her to dare stop in a place like this and provoke them... she was clearly asking for it!’

As the three men approached, the expression on Shen Nian’s face remained unchanged.

"You’ve gone to a lot of trouble following me all this way," Shen Nian said. "So, out with it. Who sent you?"

Shen Nian had no intention of wasting time with them; she had real things to do today.

"Heh, you’ve got a lot of nerve, little girl! You knew we were following you all this way and you didn’t even try to run. Looks like you don’t take us seriously at all!"
