"I can do it." Han Ruochen pursed her lips as she continued marking the route. She did not raise her head from the map and continued working, reading the checkpoints before crossing the ones that had mines or live bombs buried underneath them.

"If you cannot just tell Zhai Muchen, I am sure that he will understand and look for someone who can do it better. You are still young after all." Han Yichen sighed, feeling a bit troubled. "Ruochen, I know that our family owes the Zhai family, but what is the status of the Zhai family? Don’t be anxious to repay them. It is not that Dad does not believe in you, but I am just worried that the task they might have given you is a bit dangerous. If you cannot do it, then you will be the one in danger. I would rather work hard than put your life at risk."

He did not understand the map, but he could see that Han Ruochen was crossing many checkpoints on it; he was also a son of a fisherman, and he knew what it meant when a fisherman crossed a checkpoint. It meant that the checkpoint had a hidden danger, or a bomb or a mine underneath or around it. His father had braved many storms before he could find a much better and safer route where he could catch fish, but even so, he once made a mistake and ended up losing one of his legs, which had to be amputated.

His father was in his fifties back then and still ended up suffering a lot. His daughter was still young; what if she ended up putting her life at risk? It was better if she stayed at home and just did some normal fishing.

When Han Ruochen heard the worry in the voice of her father, her heart could not help but warm up. She knew that he was not worried about offending the Zhai family; what he was worried about was that she would end up in a dangerous situation like her grandfather. But at the same time, she had to admit that Zhai Muchen had a lot of confidence when he asked her to go to this point to catch seafood. This was ...not a simple matter!

The point where Zhai Muchen asked her to go was not just any checkpoint; it was a checkpoint in the troubled waters. No one had any say when it came to these waters, and anyone from the surrounding countries could fish near these waters, but because there were many mines and bombs hidden, Han Ruochen was sure that everyone avoided these waters.

But if she successfully laid down a route that could lead to this point, Han Ruochen had a feeling that this matter would be pointed out and brought up in front of the government. This was why she was a bit shocked when she completely read the map. What was Zhai Muchen doing? Was he not worried that she would end up dead?

But at the same time, there was no reward without a risk; this was something that Han Ruochen knew very well.

"If you know what you are doing, then I will not stop you." Han Yichen knew that his children had grown up and there were some things that he could not say to them. After all, Han Ruochen had always been opinionated since she was a child, and there was little to nothing he could do about her.

Han Yichen was still worried but not as worried as Han Ruochen. She was now really worried about the marking on the map. She had to keep it close and make sure that no one would be able to steal it from her. Fortunately, she was not someone prominent and had not made a name for herself. Otherwise, with this map in her hands, she would have been targeted umpteen times!

She was still very young and inexperienced when it came to dealing with spies.

Zhai Muchen was simply trying to challenge the limits of her heart! What was he thinking, giving her such a bomb?

If not for the fear of causing her father and his wardmate to become suspicious, Han Ruochen would have hidden this map and wouldn’t have allowed them to read it anymore. What if they realised that this route was through the troubled water in the sea and the old man was just trying to pave the way for the country and the fisheries in the future through her? Now she had a feeling that the old man did not even care about the seafood that was hidden at the marked point. He just wanted a safe route to take control of these troubled waters!

Damn! Although Han Ruochen had lived for two lifetimes, her courage was somewhat limited. She could deal with petty matters, but this was —this was related to the government and the development of the country. What if she ended up being targeted? What if her family ended up getting targeted? She was just an ordinary citizen who had never been involved in any major or strategic situations. She felt a bit scared.

The more she thought, the more scared she became, but then she remembered the promise that she had made to Zhai Muchen and gritted her teeth. Fine, she would wade through these troubled waters and then return home safely. She needed to return this map to Zhai Muchen as soon as possible; she could not keep this bomb with her for another second longer!

Like her father said, what if she ended up putting her life at risk?

Han Yichen did not notice Han Ruochen’s worried expression but Han Xuehan did and a heavy weight fell onto her heart. She recalled what her grandmother had told her about Han Ruochen taking tasks that were too big and difficult for her all because Meng Yunhan had wasted ten thousand yuan of savings of their father and a glint flashed in her eyes.
