Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System
Chapter 444: It Was A Bomb
"It’s just something that Brother Zhai asked me to help with." Han Ruochen replied as she continued reading the map.
With the help of the sea scanning system, it did not take her long to set a route that was less dangerous to reach the point that was marked on the map. Having gone to the sea many times, it was quite easy for Han Ruochen to mark out the dangerous sea points.
When it came to steering a boat in the sea, it did not matter if they would be able to return quickly. What mattered the most was that they needed to make sure that the route they had chosen was as less possibly dangerous than the rest. This was something that Han Ruochen was aware of, and thus, she worked hard on making a set of mark points to help her get there.
"My goodness, brother, you did tell me that your daughter went to the sea, but she seems different from the rest. Just look at the many tadpole-like characters on the paper; is she reading a foreign language?" The wardmate was curious and took a peek at the map. His eyesight was really good, and when he saw that the map was in English, he was stunned.
Looking at the map, he knew that the words most likely told a route to a sea way, but unfortunately for him, even if the words knew him, he did not know them.
"I say, buddy, this daughter of yours is really awesome, isn’t she? She can even understand this map. Didn’t you mention that she was working as a fisherwoman? I reckon she is top tier among the rest because I have never seen a fisherman reading these tadpole-like characters." The wardmate was amazed. He was quite shocked when Han Yichen told him that Han Ruochen worked as a fisherwoman; after all, Han Ruochen did not resemble those dirty and mangy men at the docks. With a beautiful face like hers, she resembled an actress, much less a fisherwoman.
But Han Yichen insisted that Han Ruochen was just a little fisherwoman. However, now that the wardmate had seen Han Ruochen reading the map, he was quite clear on one matter. This girl was different from the rest of the fishermen he knew of.
"I...I have no idea. Are there tiers when it comes to fishing?" Han Yichen frowned and asked. He was also quite shocked because he had never thought about such a thing. Wasn’t fishing just normal fishing?
"Oh dear brother, you don’t know such a simple thing?" The wardmate was shocked when he heard Han Yichen’s question. He looked at him as if he were looking at another species and then cleared his throat when he saw that Han Yichen was really confused. "Of course there are tiers when it comes to fishermen! There are some fishermen who cannot catch anything even when they go to the sea for weeks, and then there are some who return in a few days. These fishermen are hired by big restaurants and fisheries to bring them seafood. They are thus called top tier! I think that your daughter is among the top ones."
The warmate was also quite shocked when he said those words because when he looked at Han Ruochen, the woman looked quite young and immature. Most of the top-tier fishermen were actually old men who had gained a lot of experience!
But Han Ruochen – no matter how he looked at her, she resembled a baby!
He looked at Han Yichen and gave him a thumbs up. "You are really lucky, brother; your daughter will certainly make it big in the future." She had already been contacted by a fishery or a restaurant, and as she grew older, she would only become even more charismatic. After all, a woman who could read such a complex map was not someone who would stay hidden in a small fishing village for long.
In comparison to the adopted daughter, who would rather sit idle and doze off, this daughter of Han Yichen looked much better, even better than the elder one who was good at socialising but could not do much.
"Look at her making so many marks on the maps. She is very clear-minded. Given her attitude and skills, she will be able to learn a lot of things, unlike most of the young ones now. Look at my younger daughter; whenever I ask her to study, she will make a fuss. You don’t know, but she will hide in her room and read comics. I am so tired of her attitude that I don’t know how to correct it anymore. I am afraid that she is not even half as good as your daughter."
"Even if she somehow passes from an unknown college, she will never amount to something big...compared to her, your daughter without a college diploma is going to have a better future."
The ward mate knew one thing, and that was that the person had given Han Ruochen a map in English along with documents in the same language; there was a good chance that they were from a very big fishery. A woman who already had a connection with a good job- how could she even compare to those simple factory jobs that amount to twenty or thirty yuan?
Han Yichen was shocked after hearing what the ward mate said. After all, in his eyes, even if Han Ruochen was earning good money, she would only be trapped in the small village for the rest of her life because she didn’t take the college examination. Who would have thought that his ward mate would tell him that even without a diploma, Han Ruochen would be able to do better in life?
"This..." After some time, he turned to look at Han Ruochen and asked, "Ruochen, is this really okay? Are you sure that you can do this work? I mean, the route is not dangerous, is it?" Han Yichen knew that there were some unscrupulous merchants who did not care about the life and death of fishermen, what if Han Ruochen took a job that could cause trouble for her?
