The security officer knocked on the office door first.

"Let him in."

He had assumed it was a man.

Qin Wenying said, "I’m sorry. I’m actually here to see Fu Mingxue. I have something very important to discuss with her."

Director Liu was speechless.

’Then why didn’t you just tell security you were looking for Fu Mingxue?’ he thought.

There was a phone in the conference room.

But someone came and told her that Director Liu wanted to see her immediately.

So, she told them to continue the discussion on their own.

She got up and went to Director Liu’s office herself.

"It’s a bit urgent, but I can wait two hours. You go finish up. Come with me as soon as you’re done."

"Okay." Fu Mingxue couldn’t very well leave in the middle of her work. "So for now, you—"

Director Liu quickly interjected, "She can wait right here."
