Director Liu had come by car this time.

Xiao Li was the one driving.

Director Liu sat in the front passenger seat, while Fu Mingxue and Song Mingyue took the back seat.

"Group Leader Fu, that Xiao Song you recommended is quite capable! I have to say, there’s just something different about university students."

Designing blueprints like that would take others two to three years at a minimum, yet Fu Mingxue had produced plans for a new engine in just a few days.

That fact alone was astounding.

They had run into quite a few difficulties while trying to develop a prototype from the last set of blueprints.

Unfortunately, Fu Mingxue hadn’t been around.

Now that she had finally returned to Beijing, they were eager for her to come and help solve a host of problems.

The factory’s own engineers also had a number of questions they couldn’t resolve and wanted to ask her.

"How about this? Let’s go to the conference room. Our engineers all know you’re coming, and they’re waiting for you."

Fu Mingxue had already guessed it was about the engine.

Since she was here, she knew she would have to meet with the engineers.

Besides, she wanted to hear their opinions as well.

So she simply nodded. "Alright. Let’s go now."

First Auto Factory had its own research and development team, dedicated to creating a domestically produced car engine.

Knowing that Fu Mingxue was coming, all the engineers had gathered in the conference room that evening, waiting for her.

Fu Mingxue and Director Liu walked to the head of the table.

Director Liu scanned the room. "I have brought Teacher Fu to you. Now, you can discuss any questions you have with her."

He had originally called her Group Leader Fu, but Fu Mingxue felt it was inappropriate.

Seeing her reaction, Director Liu said he would call her Teacher Fu from then on.

His words reminded everyone that time was of the essence—after all, Fu Mingxue herself was an incredibly busy person and difficult to book.

And so, one by one, they began asking their questions—

bringing up aspects they couldn’t solve or didn’t understand.

Fu Mingxue answered each one in turn.

Seeing there was nothing for him to do, Director Liu stayed for a short while before quietly leaving the conference room.

He worked until midnight, and just as he was about to head home, he suddenly remembered something. He smacked himself on the back of the head.

"Oh, crap. I forgot about Fu Mingxue."
