"—I, I didn’t." Although she had, Lan Qingman certainly wasn’t going to admit it.

Her eyes were also red. "Mom, why did you hit me? I was just telling the truth."

"Besides, what did I say that was wrong? If he’s really being resuscitated, shouldn’t we hurry over to see him one last time?"

SLAP. Mrs. Qin struck her again. "Shut up! Believe it or not, if you curse my son one more time, I’ll hit you again."

Lan Qingman was furious now.

She never expected her mother-in-law to slap her a second time.

"Are you crazy? Why are you hitting me? Was it my fault your son was so seriously injured he’s dying?"

"Shut up. Mom, don’t listen to her. I’ll get her out of here." Qin Wenze immediately started to drag her away.

But Lan Qingman, having been slapped twice, was in no mood to let it go.

Of course, she refused to leave, scratching and clawing at Qin Wenze. "Qin Wenze, you bastard, let go of me! It was your mother who hit me, you son of a bitch—"

"Shut up! If you keep making a scene, we’re getting a divorce tomorrow." Qin Wenze had truly had enough of her.

This was the first time he had ever mentioned divorce, and it truly stunned Lan Qingman.

After a moment, she snapped out of it and started scratching and clawing at Qin Wenze even more fiercely.

"Qin Wenze, how dare you bring up divorce! Your mother bullied me, and now you want to divorce me—"

Qin Wenze’s face was dark. He wasn’t in the habit of hitting women.

So now, several red scratches appeared on his face.

Just then, Mrs. Qin’s cold, harsh voice rang out, "Qin Wenze, divorce her tomorrow. If you don’t, then you can move out of the Qin family home. We won’t have you as a son anymore."

Her words made Lan Qingman freeze. She looked at her mother-in-law in disbelief.

"—You’re telling Qin Wenze to divorce me?"

She couldn’t believe these words were coming from a mother-in-law—actually encouraging her son to divorce his wife.

’After all, she had given the Old Qin Family a son.’

"That’s right. The Qin family can’t afford to keep a troublemaker like you."

Lan Qingman was both furious and indignant, her eyes instantly turning red.

She turned her head to look at the other three members of the Qin family. "Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, did you hear that? She’s actually telling Qin Wenze to divorce me! Aren’t you going to say something?"

Mr. Qin had long been utterly disappointed with his eldest daughter-in-law.

He ignored her.

He just looked at his eldest son. "Qin Wenze, take your wife away."

Qin Wenze grunted in assent and started dragging Lan Qingman away.

"Let go of me, Qin Wenze, let me go! Make your mom explain herself—on what grounds is she telling you to divorce me?"

"Shut up. I’m the one who wants to divorce you. We’ll do it tomorrow." Qin Wenze had originally been hesitant, considering their two children were still young.

But now, that last shred of hesitation was gone.

Lan Qingman truly went berserk.

She kicked, thrashed, and clawed, leaving scratches all over Qin Wenze’s arms and face.

And with that, the last shred of affection he had for her was gone—

Everyone in the compound who saw this scene was stunned.

’—Heavens, what is going on?’

They had never seen Qin Wenze treat his wife like this.

’What on earth did Lan Qingman do to make Qin Wenze so angry?’

Someone with good intentions stepped forward to mediate:

"Wenzhe, what-what are you doing? Let go of your wife!"

"Exactly! Just talk it out!"

Qin Wenze didn’t say a word, just kept dragging Lan Qingman away.

Seeing him like this, the others didn’t dare step forward to stop him.

Besides, they noticed something—the couple was fighting like this, yet none of the Qin Family had come out.
