You Jingyi laughed and said, "Is your uncle a civil servant?"

"No, my dad’s in the military."

The two of them bought groceries on the way, chatting with each other. You Jingyi knew that Little Star’s dad was a soldier, but felt it was impolite to dig too deep.

After the meal, Little Star also offered You Jingyi a fruit pie. While chatting, You Jingyi specifically asked about Little Star’s courses.

"If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can come and ask me."

"I’ve been struggling a bit lately, especially with some difficult problems. I thought the way you solved problems the other day was even better than my teacher’s. Can I come to you for help, Jingyi?"

"Of course you can..." You Jingyi replied, then paused and changed his mind, "Which subjects are you taking? Since we’re on break now and I have nothing much to do, how about I come over in the afternoon to tutor you?"

Little Star told him the subjects she was studying, and You Jingyi assured her it was no problem. He was already ahead in all his courses. For him, it was very simple.

"Hey, I just came to your house, and no one was there. Where did you run off to?" After getting home, You Jingyi received a call from Shang Ou.

You Jingyi wasn’t guilty at all and said, "I went out to buy some daily necessities. The minor issue has been fixed, and it’s ready for handover tomorrow."

"Alright, we’ll go over together tomorrow. By the way, is your pretty neighbor girl on a break? Can you ask her if we can go over to have a meal?" Shang Ou had been thinking about the food ever since he ate at Little Star’s place last time.

"She’s sick, so let’s not bother her these days."

"She’s sick? What a shame." Shang Ou was still thinking about food and didn’t realize how You Jingyi knew she was sick.

In the days that followed, every afternoon after school, You Jingyi would come over to help Little Star with her homework.
