Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 232: First Floor Fight - End
With a loud roar, one that seemingly shook the distant walls of the battlefield, Landrey's body began to regenerate at a rapid rate. His arm grew back faster than most people could blink, all his injuries closed up in an instant, and the dark blood that covered him seemed to evaporate from his skin.
The crowd had been watching the whole time, and the constellations had been placing their bets on Landrey, not surprisingly, as everyone, even the constellations, loved an underdog.
A panel had appeared before everyone in the crowd who was willing to place bets. There had been no oohs and aahs from the audience, as battles of this scale were something they had seen many times before. A certain group of people had grown wary of Jacob, though, as they could sense the immense power that coursed through him.
…
Landrey was evolving. He grew even taller, his skin became darker, and his fangs and claws grew longer. He had abandoned humanity now and embraced his primal nature, one that he hoped would help him win this battle.
The young man stood with a listless, almost bored expression spread across his face as he looked at Landrey, whose attributes had now grown exponentially. He could tell at a single glance that this man's main cheat was that there was no ceiling to his transformations, so he had to stop that before it got out of hand. He would do so by taking away his Instant Regeneration.
Jacob immediately used the Dao of Oblivion to make it so that Landrey no longer possessed the Instant Regeneration skill, all without his knowledge.
He had also made it impossible for him to summon his wolves, as it seemed that Landrey could do so infinitely. This time, Landrey noticed that he was no longer able to summon his wolf pack to attack.
He quietly decided that he was going to finish it with his fists and claws alone. He did not care what obstacle stood between him and his goals. He would do whatever it took to destroy it.
…
Landrey was much faster now. He dashed in a way that was comparable to the speed of light. Jacob watched, evolving his perception in the process, as he followed the movements of his attacker.
Landrey swung a hand at Jacob's chest, but Jacob casually weaved through the air, dodging the attack by a hair's breadth, the strike sending a wave of air flying several meters past him. Landrey was not done. He pivoted and sent a flurry of attacks at Jacob, aimed at anywhere and everywhere the light touched on the young man's body.
No crevice was left unattacked, but like a dancer in an opera, Jacob moved through the air with swift, graceful motions that suggested this beast was nowhere close to even touching him.
With every weave, Jacob countered with an unrestrained strike aimed at Landrey's pressure points, causing the man-wolf to gradually lose control of his limbs.
Landrey eventually started using only one hand. He sent a punch flying through the air, breaking the sound barrier, but with two fingers, Jacob redirected the hand, spun it around, and snapped it in two with his knee.
"Graahhh!" Landrey yelped in pain.
Landrey still would not give up. He had begun using his legs now, sending attack after attack at Jacob. But just like before, the young white-haired man evaded his tactics with ease.
Jacob switched between a plethora of martial arts styles. He shuffled his feet across the ground very quickly and began shadowboxing, every strike aimed directly at Landrey's jaw.
Before Landrey could even recover, Jacob had switched to kung fu, jumping up and down through the air, spinning around, and landing kick after kick.
Blood spilled all over the concrete. The constellations who had placed bets on Landrey watched in shock as their pick was being brutally dominated in the battle arena.
Jacob easily transitioned to Muay Thai, attacking every pressure point on the man-wolf's body before he could even react. Landrey could no longer regenerate instantly, so it was impossible for him to counter any of the attacks. He had lost control of his limbs and was now on the receiving end of a continuous barrage of deadly blows.
Jacob finally switched to judo, pulling the man over his shoulder and driving him hard onto his back, a seemingly final attack that caused Landrey to spit a glob of blood onto his own face.
His entire body was covered in blood. He had one broken arm, one broken leg, and a plethora of bruises. He could no longer regenerate, and he could hardly speak.
Jacob and the rest of the crowd looked down at the defeated man. A thought flashed through his head. He could easily remove every power this man possessed and render him completely useless, but he would leave him with his abilities. As long as he was not dead, all that power would still be useful to him back in his own world.
…
Jacob squatted, looking at the bleeding Landrey, and finally spoke to him.
"Stay down, wolf."
Landrey looked at him and chuckled. Every attack he had launched at this young man had been rendered completely useless in an instant. He had not even been able to land a single hit on him. Landrey's chuckle soon became full-blown laughter as he lay there laughing while Jacob walked away, returning his powers to him.
The rule of victory in the tower was simple. As long as the opponent was alive, if they stayed down for more than ten seconds, then they lost.
Jacob walked off the stony slab and was instantly joined by Uga, who appeared before him with what seemed to be a smile on its face. Jacob could never tell.
"Congratulations, Jacob. You advance to the second floor. Would you like to battle now?"
"Yes, Uga. Take me to the second floor," Jacob said as he tightened his fist, not even looking back once at the bloodied man he had just defeated.
