In the quiet village of TillShade, Olive lives a simple life. She dreams of becoming a naturalist, studying the strange beasts that wander her world.

Then one night, she falls asleep in the safety of her bedroom… and wakes in a different body, in a cavern of polished stone and writhing tentacles. Olive discovers she has been reborn as the Demon Lord they’ve all been waiting for.

Now split between two lives, one in the peaceful kingdom of Calmanthe, the other in the heart of enemy territory, Olive must learn to play the role of Demon Lord before her disguise unravels. With demons bound by blood contracts and a people who reshaped themselves to look more monstrous for their rulers, every choice pushes her closer to a war she doesn’t understand.

If she cannot master both her lives, she risks losing them: her family and village on one side, her life and fragile authority on the other. Olive must decide whether she will bridge the two worlds… or ignite the spark that burns them both to ash.
