Chapter 1603: Chapter 663: Drugging

"Get out!"

Chi Ye grabbed Wuyue and, without another word, threw her out.

As Wuyue was tossed out of the tent, her eye suddenly caught the corner of a book protruding from Chi Ye’s inner robe.

The Merit Book?

Before Wuyue could see clearly, she had already been cast out from Chi Ye’s tent. In order to avoid being discovered, she didn’t even dare use Primordial Power to shield herself.

She thought she would fall flat on her rear again and get shaken up badly, but upon landing, she didn’t feel a bit of pain.

Wuyue was puzzled when a sweaty garment was thrown from the tent, landing on her head.

"Wash it clean."

Annoyed, Wuyue pulled off the clothing and inwardly cursed the ancestors of baboons in her mind, then furiously picked up the clothes and left.

Inside the tent, Chi Ye was also feeling agitated.

What did he just do?

He actually worried about hurting that woman, so he used his demonic power?

Well, this woman was quite handy when it came to cleaning, if she’s injured, then who would help him wash clothes and tidy up.

Chi Ye thought for a long time before coming up with a suitable excuse.

Wuyue carried the dirty clothing back to her own tent.

She lived in the servants’ tent, which was small and narrow, but since she was Maid to Shui Yaoyao, she didn’t have to mingle with the other demons of the Demon Clan.

For convenience’s sake, her tent was near Shui Yaoyao’s.

As soon as she entered the tent, she saw Shui Yaoyao waiting inside.

Wuyue’s heart jumped, and instinctively she tossed the dirty clothes into a corner.

"Young Clan Leader, why are you here?"

Shui Yaoyao never visited the servants’ quarters, but today...

"Why are you back so late?"

Shui Yaoyao squinted at Wuyue, her intentions unclear.

"Lord Chi Ye’s tent was chaotic, this maid only just finished cleaning."

Wuyue answered softly.

"Only cleaning? Little Wu, do you know why I kept you as my Maid?"

Shui Yaoyao stood up and walked over to Wuyue’s side.

Her height was half a head taller than Wuyue, her figure more slender and athletic, standing beside the wary Primordial Power-refrained Wuyue, imposing a sense of pressure.

Wuyue’s heart tightened, recalling rumors she heard among maids earlier.

Though Young Clan Leader Shui Yaoyao was beautiful, she was known to have a heart like a serpent, especially concerning Lord Chi Ye whom she fancied.

It was said that a few days ago, while Lord Chi Ye patrolled outside, several demon girls watched him for too long and Shui Yaoyao secretly gouged out their eyes.

"Little Wu is foolish, please instruct me, Young Clan Leader."

Wuyue still kept her head lowered, though her voice slightly trembled, evidently frightened.

"Silly girl, what are you afraid of, I keep you because you are honest, not talkative, and diligent. I heard you tidied up Brother Chi Ye’s tent very well today. Father’s intention is that Brother Chi Ye’s meals in the Tongtian Tribe for the next few days will be attended to by you."

Upon seeing Wuyue’s timid appearance, Shui Yaoyao burst out laughing.

Earlier, Father had informed her to transfer Wuyue to Chi Ye’s tent, to attend to Chi Ye’s meals and living arrangements. Surprisingly, Chi Ye did not object.

Initially, Shui Yaoyao was a bit unhappy, thinking Chi Ye’s attitude toward Wuyue was unusual, perhaps he was fond of her.

But upon reflection, she realized she had grown up with Chi Ye and knew he hated timid and weak women the most.

Moreover, though Wuyue was acceptably attractive, compared to the alluring women of the Demon Clan, she seemed undernourished and like a little boy. Such plainness couldn’t possibly appeal to Chi Ye.

Perhaps, Chi Ye didn’t object to her because she appeared undeveloped, akin to a little boy.

Thinking about this, Shui Yaoyao became relieved.

Would she really go serve that impatient red-haired baboon?

Wuyue’s heart sank, conflicted, it would mean treading carefully in the days ahead.

But recalling the Merit Book on Chi Ye’s body, Wuyue hesitated.

"Why don’t you say anything? Are you unwilling?"

Seeing Wuyue appearing frightened, Shui Yaoyao was more convinced Wuyue wouldn’t seduce Chi Ye.

"This maid wouldn’t dare, I’m just a servant, I’m simply clumsy and might not serve Lord Chi Ye well."

Wuyue spoke against her will.

"Don’t worry, although Brother Chi Ye dislikes women, he isn’t a bad person, as long as you do your job well, he’ll at most ignore you."

Knowing Chi Ye well, Shui Yaoyao explained that Chi Ye tried to avoid women, not even bothering to talk much.

If only it were so.

Wuyue recalled the man’s wrathful behavior toward her earlier.

"Tomorrow morning, you will attend Brother Chi Ye’s clothing, meals, and lodging in his tent, I will have someone else care for my matters. Additionally, mix this bottle of medicine into Brother Chi Ye’s supper tomorrow night."

After speaking, Shui Yaoyao handed a bottle of medicine to Wuyue.

Wuyue was startled.

"Young Clan Leader, what is this medicine?"

"Relax, it’s not Poison, but a calming medicine for sleep. I noticed Brother Chi Ye has been stressed and busy these days, his subordinates mentioned that he struggles to sleep at night. This medicine is absolutely harmless, follow my instructions and no one will find out. Once it’s done, just leave, I’ll handle the rest."

Shui Yaoyao smiled, pursing her lips.

Wuyue hesitated briefly but took the medicine, feeling a vague sense of unease.

The sky gradually brightened.

With a sudden movement, Chi Ye sat up from his bed.

Images flashed through his mind.

Skin smoother than milk, a woman’s soft waist, legs entwined around his waist like vines, her pleading voice sounded like Demon Sound, making him tremble all over.

The most fatal thing was, after ruthlessly ravaging her, he saw that tear-stained face clearly, it was...

Chi Ye’s head throbbed intensely.

Below, something felt strange.

Chi Ye glanced down and his face froze completely.

A suspicious stain was left on the bed.

Having lived for hundreds of years, it was Chi Ye’s first time...

"Lord Chi Ye, you should get up."

The Demon Sound that had tormented Chi Ye all night long came drifting over, hauntingly.

Wuyue walked in, carrying a basin of water.

Upon entering, she heard a noise, as if someone had fallen off the bed.

A closer look revealed Chi Ye with an iron face, his feet tangled in torn cloth, words squeezing through his clenched teeth.

"Get out!"

The same words, Wuyue didn’t even bother with him, turning to leave, not forgetting to place down the water basin.

As she stepped out of the tent, she heard the sound of the water basin being kicked over, Wuyue shook her head helplessly.
